BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

Hologic is a medical imaging company. I'm part of Breast Health division focusing on diagnostic workstations for radiologists. While I manage software quality assurance team due to the nature of what i do and almost 20 years with the company, i work cross functionality supporting various teams. For new SecurView workstation release I worked with marketing team on creating promotional video materials

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire IQvideo?

We have diagnostic reading workstation for radiologists called SecurView Workstation. The product has been around for a while, but we added new functionality and wanted to expand our marketing campaign.

What were your goals for this project?

The goal was to showcase its features by having several highly respected radiologists outline what they like about it and how the use it. Dr. Rose in Austin and Dr. Lopez in Newport beach were selected for this.

Since Dr. Rose just opened his new clinic we also agreed to showcase his clinic as a thank you for him agreeing to help us. The audience for end result video were Hologic sales reps as well as radiologists who were new to SecurView and have our competitor workstations

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

While Hologic (headquartered on the east coast)works with larger video production companies, we wanted someone local to SF Bay Area location - where our office is located. In the past it was difficult working with larger vendors in different time zones and locations.

We also didn't like the turnaround and lag of communication. After evaluating a few local vendors we went with IQVideo based on reviews and also by asking around for direct references - several clients who previously worked with IQvideo

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

The scope of the work included:

• Traveling to the location
• Based on the provided script shoot an interview with a doctor
• Based on the provided script shoot an interview with mammography director
• Shoot a short demo reel of the clinic setup
• the workflow
• from acquisition mammography system where woman comes in for a mammogram to doctor reviewing the images.
• Any clinic details
• Provide full interview videos plus highlights video

What was the team composition?

At both sites Iqvideo team consisted of 2 people which was enough. Radiologists reading rooms aren't very large. So with 2 IqVideo people, plus marketing person, me and radiologist the room was full.

After the videos were shot i worked with the owner - Alex - on editing. in both cases he provided the 1st edit before the committed date. He also had the highlights ready. We went back and forth several times on interview/demo footage.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The final outcome of the project was better than expected. First of all this was top notch quality. While shooting iqvideo spent good amount of time setting up the lights and the environment before bringing in the doctors. So by the time doctors came in everything was ready for them and we just needed an hour or so of their time to shoot the actual footage which consisted of interviews and them demoing how the use the system

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The communication between us and Iqvideo was transparent and easy. They were extremely responsive to any questions or requests. This was a good combination of someone who knows how to get the job done very well but at the same time easy to work with. They were professional on all levels - from initial communication, to being on time when arriving to the office to delivering the final product. As i mentioned before they delivered the edits before the agreed upon date.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

One of the main reasons we didn't go with Hologic's standard video production company is because the person we communicated was an administrator who knew nothing of video production, while they hired freelancers to do the actual work. So this one to one, personal communication was lost. Responsiveness is something we wanted as we were on time crunch and needed to get this done quickly.

While being professional iqvideo was a real pleasure to work with. Their final results including the visuals, audio were superb and were exactly what we were looking for. The back-and-forth editing process was made easy by quick and efficient communication by their ability to understand what we are looking for and what needs to be changed.

Are there any areas for improvement?

After working on this project with Iqvideo we are looking to bring them back again for upcoming new Workstation release. I believe Iqvideo is a top notch company that has a personal feel with the professional attitude and high end results
