What challenge were you trying to address with Inventcolabs?

My application didn’t function according to my needs, and I wanted to change the design, so I engaged Inventcolabs to redesign and redevelop the application.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Inventcolabs has worked on the back- and frontend of our shopping application. To avoid redesigning the entire application, we’ve saved the original data and code, and the team has made small adjustments to improve the backend functionality. They’ve rebuilt our dashboard in AWS and redesigned most of the frontend. Additionally, they’ve revamped our retail feature so users can purchase products from multiple stores under one basket.

The application is compatible with iOS and Android and enables users to purchase products from our famous retailer partners. On the other hand, users can elect our personal shopping option if they want to purchase products from stores outside our retail partnerships. 

Users who employ our personal shopping option can upload a picture of their desired product or their entire shopping list. Then, our team searches for their desired products and sends offers to the user detailing the product, where they found it, and the price. At that point, users can decide to approve the product, in which case, our team purchases it for them.

I found Inventcolabs on LinkedIn. We messaged about the project for a few months, and once I felt comfortable moving forward, I engaged their services.

We began messaging with Inventcolabs in January 2022 but didn’t kick off the engagement until March 2022. The partnership is ongoing.

I’ve worked with 3–4 development partners, so I’ve compared Inventcolabs with my previous engagements to measure success. The team has exceeded my expectations by designing a product based on my specific needs, down to the last detail. They’ve given me exactly what I asked for; I’ve never experienced this level of finesse. They’ve listened to me throughout each stage, which has led to an effective, successful partnership.

Inventcolabs has been a loyal, flexible partner who has eagerly supported our project. They’ve been responsive and available; sometimes we’ve even had to remind them we don’t work on weekends. When they’ve made development decisions that stray from our vision, they’ve been quick to implement our feedback in a matter of hours. We typically communicate via email, phone, and WhatsApp. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve been impressed with Inventcolabs’ humility throughout the project. They’ve shown a great desire to deliver on our requirements without pride or ego. Whenever we’ve suggested changes, they’ve keenly accepted our decisions and supported us. We’ve had a great experience overall.

Initially, Inventcolabs started designing the app according to their ideas. However, when we requested to collaborate more, they immediately backtracked and we’ve worked well together since.
