Starting from a previously built application using a no-code UI and 3rd party database, rebuild the application using their experience and knowledge while also improving the application based on my feedback and my end-user feedback. Deliverables have varied from new APIs, to integrating a 3rd party AI tool, to improved functionality within the application.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I handle the final QA (after havenocode's internal QA) for all project steps. Deadlines are routinely met and often project steps are completed early. Updates and changes are accurate, clarifying questions via Slack are asked when needed. Also, the more the development team has understood my needs and vision, the more they have proactively suggested improvements I have not thought of yet.

Utilizing tools such as Clickup and Slack, I'm generally aware of what they are working on, and can ask questions at any time and always receive a clear response in a reasonable time period. New requests or questions are quickly addressed, and prioritized by their team based on our discussions either via Slack or during weekly update meetings.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I fired the three previous developers before finding havenocode. With this company I am not worried about their progress or quality of work. Only once have I questioned hours billed vs productivity, and immediately the question was very clearly addressed (and their billing was accurate), and we worked together to avoid (my) confusion in the future. We are currently completing a very critical project step with a very tight deadline, and I have zero stress that they will complete the project successfully. There are very few businesses for which I can say the same thing.

At the beginning, communication wasn't as clear as it could have been. However, once we talked through it, I can't think of anything that needs improvement.

Havenocode have developed the MVP of the Partnerplace platform and then kept supporting and maintaining it for the following months. They built everything from scratch (or better said from UX/UI provided by us) and managed the process including:

They were very helpful in helping us figure out how to approach certain features, how to prioritize them and what are the best practices in software development.

• They delivered the MVP within the est timeframe. 
• They delievered multiple (7+) releases in a timely manner. 
• They were very reactive when we needed to change priorities.

Yes, this was one of the reasons why we selected them:

• Their PM and testing processes are in place. 
• The project was delivered with a miniscule delay but it was agreed with us and the reason was that some other changes were added to the project, so it was more of a change request. 
• Multiple times we saw that they can work under pressure and can deliver at a very high pace. We often set unrealistic deadlines for them and time and time again they managed to deliver them.
• During the second or third release there was a brief moment where we felt the testing was not ideal, but we discussed this and it was greatly improved (we already had 7 releases and only in one of the early ones we had to raise this small issue). 

In general, havenocode is one of the best development companies I have worked with.

• Ability to work under very tight deadlines
• Ability to fully understand the complexity of our project and how the business side operates (this is quite challenging in our industry, but we often felt the PM understands exactly what we need and why we need it)
• Being elastic (for ex. working in Sprints, ever changing priorities)
• Being proactive - multiple times they have suggested/implemented something that was not mentioned, but was spot on (small improvements that help the general Customer Experience)
• Very reactive to slack messages - answer typically received within an hour.

The testing could include UX/CX validation - looking for potential improvements in the design of the platform. We have set an unrealistic speed of development, so sometimes we miss small things like 1-2 px of margin missing or a column name that breaks into 2 rows when the name is too long. It would be ideal to have their testing team also look for such elements.

The application was successfully integrated with external invoicing software and shipping company API. The application was successfully deployed to production and integrated into our existing processes.

We have successfully created new software and we're ready to migrate our existing clients into the new system.

What stood out in the collaboration with Havenocode was that, despite the relaxed atmosphere typical of young companies, they were able to provide high-quality services and maintain consistent and transparent project management.
