Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO of Dchained, an educational platform focusing on educating people about cryptocurrency and digital assets.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Growthula?

Given that it was a new business, we wanted to generate organic traffic, so we needed help with SEO and link building.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I worked with Growthula on improving our on-page and off-page SEO for the editorial content that we produced. Initially, I gave them an overview of our service and core customers. I also gave them access to our platform and walked them through our content, asking them to come back with recommendations. Their team did keyword research on their own and made structural changes to our site to improve its SEO.

After that, Growthula helped us come up with a communication strategy to reach out to site owners interested in featuring our content or creating backlinks to it. Their strategy focused not only on gaining new backlinks but also on finding the most effective and cost-efficient ones based on our budget.

As part of our overall efforts to improve our organic traffic, we eventually expanded Growthula’s scope outside of on-site and off-site SEO. We developed a strategy to reach out to different podcasts and video streamers to generate views and drive traffic to our site. From there, we started focusing on YouTube SEO.

As Growthula became more and more effective in their original scope of work, they basically became an extension of our PR. we started to integrate their efforts into our overall marketing strategy, and our ultimate goal was to increase our site traffic.

Throughout the project, Growthula was part of our conversations regarding new content creation, working alongside our content development team and helping us create a new content development strategy. Their scope included researching keywords that could generate additional traffic and gain interest from our user base.

What is the team composition?

We worked with nine people from Growthula, including two SEO specialists, a content writer, two designers, a frontend developer, a backend developer, a marketing manager, and a social media manager.

How did you come to work with Growthula?

We were introduced to a company that helped us outsource talent. This company was instrumental in helping us have access to global talent and weed out candidates to find the one that could help us scale our business. Throughout this process, we also used Upwork to find more options, and we ultimately found Growthula.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $25,000–$50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from October 2020–December 2021.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I would really highlight how strong Growthula’s work was; they always delivered top-quality work. Their team did a phenomenal job with our SEO, and we saw a huge spike in our organic traffic from month six on. Throughout our engagement, we performed better than much larger organizations regarding SEO. Although we haven’t produced new content for over a year, we’re still satisfied with the number of keywords we’re ranking high for and the referring domains we’ve achieved. 

How did Growthula perform from a project management standpoint?

Growthula delivered every project on time, which was exactly what we needed. On various occasions, their team came forward with recommendations, which was great. Moreover, they made our work easier by not having to micromanage them — we never had to worry about them because they worked exceptionally well.

As for collaboration tools, we used email and Slack to communicate regularly, as well as Zoom to host our virtual meetings. Additionally, we used Asana for project management, which was also helpful for research and outreach response.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Growthula’s expertise and consultative approach were impressive. It’s not usual for service providers to come to clients with suggestions; they usually wait for orders. However, Growthula actively assessed situations, opportunities, and potential challenges, prioritizing those areas that needed immediate attention and outlining opportunities that could result in long-term benefits.

Then, they presented those findings to us so that we could make decisions to get not only immediate results but also long-term benefits. Their approach had a rationale behind it so that we felt comfortable with what they were doing, which truly set them apart from the competition. Moreover, their team was very responsible and held themselves accountable.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything they could improve on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Work with them and expand their scope of work. They have great ideas that people usually don’t think about when working on SEO.
