Our team has seen significant traffic and impressions growth since the engagement. We weren’t on the map initially, and now we’ve doubled our results month after month. I believe this will continue as we roll out new content to increase our domain authority and PR efforts.

How did GR0 perform from a project management standpoint?

GR0’s project management is spectacular, and they’re extremely responsive. I’ve never seen such a level of attention from a founder; he’s available via text message 24/7 and goes out of his way to make sure that our expectations are exceeded, and that we’re happy. 

There’s a lot of back and forth with content writers and the initial content rollout, and so far they’ve been extremely hands-on and organized. They have a great team that manages monthly KPIs to make sure that everything’s on track. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve referred GR0 to a few different groups, and we can’t speak highly enough about them. GR0 is one of the best SEO agencies in the business, and we’ve been very satisfied with them.

I hope that GR0 expands on their services at some point because they’re focused now on their core competency only.

Make sure that you have the time and budget to invest in verifying upfront that the content writer is right for your particular brand, this way the team can develop an automated workflow that runs smoothly. I’d suggest leaning in and overseeing the staff’s work at first, and once you’re sure they comply with your requirements, you can then leave them on their own. 

I’d also advise being patient because it’s possible you won’t get immediate results in the first couple of months, and that’s just how it works.

The principal has a common name similar to another high-profile individual, so the project goal is to get our principal’s name higher on the search rankings.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

When the project started, our principal’s name was sporadically spread throughout the Google search results, and we now have the top six results on the first page. There is definitively less market confusion over our principal’s name versus other public figures with similar names. The team also managed to get a hold of the Google knowledge panel, which means that our principal’s profile immediately appears on the page before you even click any of the results. GR0 has done a great job — the proof is in the pudding.

How did GR0 perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management has been fantastic. It has taken a lengthy amount of time, but we understand that there’s nothing quick in the world, especially in terms of algorithm. We mainly use Google Sheets and Google Docs to oversee the project, and we use emails and phone calls to communicate. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They've proven to me that they walk the talk. GR0 has done exactly what we needed them to do. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could triple-check the terms they use to describe individuals in the written press they publish. It’s not a harsh criticism in the slightest, but a small suggestion. We’re happy with their work.

If you have patience, they can pull off exactly what you need. You’re in a fight against algorithms, which takes time and is beyond any firm’s reach.

GR0 is an expert in the business. We had around 10 top search terms that weren’t even ranked, but they’ve been able to help with rankings. We now understand how to get publications to pick up our pieces, develop relationships, and give quotes. In addition, our numbers, performance metrics, and keyword searches didn’t drop when we switched websites, which could happen.

A lot of our clients have raved about their experiences with GR0. They’re very happy working with GR0, and they’ve seen the movement within the team search abilities.

GR0 is very responsive on Slack and our interaction has been great — I feel like I always get quick answers. Besides that, we communicate via Google Hangouts, email, and texts.

In the beginning, we had a few challenges with one of the project managers, but GR0 quickly worked to find a solution. They assigned us a new project manager, and it’s been great ever since.

Since implementing GR0's projects and initiatives, we've ranked first on several key search terms, have created a dynamic acquisition funnel with over $30,000 in organic revenue per month, managed PPC acquisition costs to be consistently <$7, and have ranked in the top 2% of Shopify sites launched the same week is ours in terms of traffic.

Our company is a rapidly-growing but small family business in the beauty industry. So, we work very closely with GR0 to get content and copy reviewed by publications, which is going to drive traffic on social media to our articles as part of our brand awareness efforts. We're also discussing some new content partnerships with other magazines.

We’re actively working with two people from GR0. One of them is our day-to-day contact with U.S. Weekly and is in charge of helping us review all copy and updates made to articles. John (Head of Operations) was connected with our CEO, and I met him personally at a conference a couple of months ago. He was a nice person and very easy to communicate ideas with. We’ve been very happy with GR0’s work. We began the collaboration with only one publisher and now we’re extending the partnership to include 3–4 more. They’re dynamic, flexible, and very open to feedback. Whenever something doesn’t work out, we’re not stuck.

John has also been flexible and open-minded when we’re deciding what needs to be done or the other party voices concerns. As a product of this collaboration, our article had hundreds of thousands of impressions, producing more brand awareness. That was one of our main goals for the campaign.

How did GR0 perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate through email. In collaboration, we work through Google Docs and Sheets on organizing data. We also have monthly reporting, which gives them an indicator of their performance.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I really appreciate their responsive approach they and how easy it is to work with them. Our contacts have been very responsive on email and phone calls. We can easily collaborate without experiencing any delays. We also both work best together by looking at the data first, understanding it, and then creating insights based on our analysis, which I appreciate as well.

They’re very creative, and we never have any major issues. We just discuss things together and try to come up with solutions. It’s a fun, nice collaboration.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’ve only had one article published so far, but we’re now expanding our efforts. These last couple of months have been a learning phase for us. I can’t specifically mention something that should be improved yet because our relationship is very collaborative. If there’s anything we need to change, we just work together on it.
