We wanted them to create a white-labeled CrossFit box system so that the box could have the app for its members, instructors, and admin in their own branding theme as their own apps on the Play Store and App Store.

G10 Consultancy has developed a white-labeled app for our boxes. The app includes features for setting WODs, logging scores, leaderboards, tracking personal records, chatting, and membership subscription by paying through the app directly. The team is now working on phase 2, which includes enhancements.

I knew the co-founder of G10 Consultancy because we used to work out in the same gym a few years ago. Then, a friend referred me to him, so I contacted him.

We started working with them in October 2024, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We already have five gyms using the app, and we'll roll it out to about four more this month. Our members love it. We actually ended up releasing an entire monthly newsletter filled with amazing testimonials about the app. The UI is simply the best. More than 1,000 users are using it daily.

G10 Consultancy's project management is perfect. We have weekly meetings and visit their office. Sometimes, we have conference calls. The team has delivered on time for the first launch, but the next update was delayed by a week.

The level of involvement is out of the box, and the quality of the apps is one of the best (based on all CrossFit apps I've seen to date). Few features that they've suggested are more than what we expected.

We had a strict deadline as we wanted to showcase our online presence during an event in China and needed all the print materials. We got everything before time and received great appreciation and feedback from our partners and clients.

We received more than 1,500 inquiries on our website during the four-day event. We also took a survey in China and got a 4.8 rating from more than 100 individuals. In our business, very few players have a great online presence and branding. This entire project with G10 Consultancy created a great impact. It helped us get the maximum number of orders and a few partnership deals from any event we’ve done so far.

We collaborated with G10 Consultancy for research and development. The scope of the project evolved as time passed, as G10 was to serve as a tech partner for end-to-end ideation, planning, execution, and deployment of multiple tech systems. Brainhap partnered with IIT Bombay for this R&D, and G10 served as a tech expert to make it happen.
Few major scopes that G10 worked on:

1. Brain Mapping involves understanding the raw data from the EEG headset, analyzing it, and defining the parameters that helped us understand the student's brain activity while performing multiple activities. These parameters include Attention, Drowsiness, Focus, Concentration, and Engagement.
2. Psychometric test systems—This is a multilingual system for student aptitude and interest tests. The major requirements for these tests were to make them real-time reporting and cheat-proof.
   3. Counselling Panel - An end-to-end student engagement history tracker with a counselling slot booking mechanism for students, driven by Video call. Also, includes a speech-to-text mechanism for counsellor notes.
   4. LMS - A learning management system for students and schools for STEAM education with videos, e-books, subject and objective tests, DIY module with complete grading mechanism, and course completion certificates.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• 100% involvement in R&D with brilliant tech insights to do a few very challenging tasks.
• Understanding the pain points and acting on it swiftly. It really helped us a lot of manual tasks and team got very comfortable with members of Team G10.
• Great communication - Especially Mr. Vaibhav Gupta
• Always open to revisions - as we were in R&D mode for almost 2 years, there were drastic changes in the entire approach (we did 2-3 major pivots), and G10 made it super smooth.

They focused a lot on a user-centric approach, which made it easy when we provided them with the project brief. With that one document, almost all the ifs and buts are fixed before the development kicks off. 
But once delivered, they made sure it worked perfectly well. Also, the resolution SLA was amazing. In fact, even though the development is completed, they are still maintaining our systems.

Gten Consultancy Digital Pvt. Ltd. is a one-stop tech partner of our company. All the systems were planned, designed, developed and maintained by Gten since May 2017. We did have an internal tech team, however it was managed by Gten managers only.

Gten was referred to us by one of the team members in Aegis and then after a detailed discussion we planned to provide them a small module to develop where they did an exceptional job and based on that we hired them as permanent vendor for projects and resources.

Gten started working on Doctor's App initially both Android and iOS native Apps and later they started working parallely on different modules such as - Saathi App (Patient Side App), PBIOMS (Pharmacy App), Night Owl App (Health Product delivery tracking App) and internal panels and systems to run all these Apps. All the Apps were developed in Native - Java / Kotlin and Objective C / Swift and backend was developed in PHP and Python.

About 10 developers full time from Gten were always working in our office and others based on small module developments on case-by-case basis - whenever we wanted to expedite the development and launch it soon.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We saw a great surge and the orders increases by 160% as soon as we started few services. Yes, there were issues in initial lauch, however Gten team was helpful 24x7 in order to mitigate all the tech concerns that we had.

We have Redmine for project development sprints and we used slack and whatsapp for internal communication. All the invoices were mapped to deliverables and a discount on invoice if the delivery was not on time. Till date, we received one deliverable a few days after the commitment date and they were ready to discount that invoice.

The passion of each and every team member and willing to go above and beyond to make sure it is done the right way is what I really love about Gten. Moreover, the team does provide a sense of comfort, which I usually prefer as my entire organisation is dependent on the tech.

While Gten team always fixed bugs ASAP, but there were some minor ones which I believe could have been avoided.

The challenge was in terms of process streamlining and structure automation. We needed help identifying our gaps and which systems needed to be put into place.

What was the scope of their involvement?

GTen visited our office for 10 days and spoke to everyone in our team. They outlined the areas in which there was duplication or lack of work and where we could streamline processes, and then we discussed various system-oriented reports. Afterwards, we started executing those requirements either through software or systems.

We were were already using the SAP [System, Applications, and Products] system, which they streamlined for us. They also helped us look into Salesforce in terms of what kind of reports we needed within the platform, and what a sales module should look like based on our requirements. They helped us with the layout design, structure, and approval flow.

GTen also worked on the development of our company website based on the designs we provided.

What is the team composition?

We worked directly with Vaibhav, the owner of the company, who acted as project manager. I’m unsure who helped him in the background.

How did you come to work with GTen Consultancy?

We received a reference from a friend. Their company seemed the most promising and dedicated, so we gave them a first project which involved building a website for one of our brands. The project went well, so we had them develop the Ronak Optik website. The first website was only a small investment, but since they did such a good job, we decided to enter into a more serious engagement.

How much have you invested with them?

The first project cost ₹15,000 Indian rupees [U.S. $250]. The other website development project cost ₹50,000–70,000 [U.S. $750–$1,000], and the SAP project was ₹90,000 [$1,300]. The Salesforce project cost ₹100,000 [$1,500]. Altogether, we’ve spent around $10,000 in the past year.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in November 2016, and our website has been live for some time. The Salesforce project is still ongoing, but some modules have been completed. We continue to assign projects to them whenever we feel they can help us.

Everyone has appreciated our main website. They’ve addressed all needed improvements, and we haven’t received any further suggestions.

The software optimization has been beneficial to our business. Things became much smoother for us after we streamlined the SAP system. Processes which used to take four or five days can now be done in two.

They’ve given us good reports and insight into what we should be doing. The communication was done through phone, email, and in-person meetings at our office in Kolkata. Vaibhav visited our location for around 10 days and underwent a review process.

They’ve delivered what they committed to. They handled the coding work we needed excellently, and even provided support six months later. Other vendors in their area typically don’t offer this level of service.

They delivered what we asked for and did a wonderful job on the website.
