Our website's front-end needed an update to match the strong back-end that powers our recommendations. The recommendations themselves needed to be more streamlined, easy for consumers to click through and purchase, and with a consumer intake quiz that thoroughly gathered relevant information to provide strong recommendations.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I selected the Fulcrum team having worked with a small subset of their team in a previous capacity. I really liked that working with the team, I would have access to a strong Product Owner, Project Manager, experienced Developers, and very creative UI/UX personnel.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We had a kick-off meeting where I shared my vision for the project, which the team then took back and built out the different sprints where they would build each subset of the website. We then met weekly to review their progress, and this was always visible on the Dev site where I could keep track of progress.

The team also created wireframes for each page and functionality that I signed off on before build, which allowed us to really align on how something would look and work before they built it out completely. The environment was very collaborative and allowed for the site to be built seamlessly.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked with a Product Owner, a Project Manager, two UI/UX personnel, and two developers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After launching the site, we have experienced exponential growth in traffic and trust from our users due to the increased ease of usability! We have now provided personalized recommendations to about 30,000 consumers.

We had a weekly stand up meeting where we reviewed their progress, and the work was divided into sprints so I always knew what the team was working on during a particular time.
