Basically they were given a simple idea of ​​the project, they were asked to act as coordinators and define the concept, collect information (visual and audio) and produce the video. The project is for internal use, for informational events. The outcome is powerful because it is a meta-message to the risk team, to maintain the principle of complying with the regulatory aspect and keeping the bank and clients safe from threats.

the creativity and analysis method. They have an ability to develop creative ideas with little information. This is due to the method of requesting information and analysis, which impressed us by how precise, fast and concrete. We did not expect the interviews to be so dynamic, as we are used to hours of conversation that are necessarily repeated several times until the final idea is obtained. They were a team that would tackle the issue quickly and set creative parameters.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There were many limitations in this project, time was one. I think that if we had more time, comparing with the excellent result they gave, it would have been beyond imagination.

Our goal was to create unique videos that explain our SaaS tools without having to show screenshots and the platform. The focus was on relaying the story to the audience. We worked with InHouse to develop those videos so that our commercial team can be enabled to educate the market about our platform easily.

I was looking for a company with out-of-the-box ideas and expertise in animation. Another deciding factor was the people behind the company.

They are explainer videos of our tools. We shared our audience's why and ACTO's why. Once the nuances made sense to the Inhouse team, we shared collateral to show our branding and value props. We then did a one-off project to determine if the process and output worked for ACTO.

They designed the first video, and we went back and forth refining the design and messaging to amplify the audience's learning experience. It was a positive learning process for us too. Upon completion, our partnership was considered a success. Two larger projects followed. The process was the same. InHouse is accessible, talented and they listen to their partners.

We worked with Zachary mostly but also worked with Nurlan and Evan. The process was simple but agile, and the team was flexible on schedule which met our needs. The InHouse gave us great ideas - giving us a learning experience too.

We're going back for more! Both marketing and sales teams couldn't wait to start circulating the videos in campaigns and outreach.

I'm the Chief Marketing Officer for the Trans Canada Trail - a national charitable organization. The Trans Canada Trail is the longest multiuse recreational trail in the world, spanning over 28,000 kilometres. The trail links our three oceans – the Atlantic, the Pacific and the Arctic – and connects 15,000 rural, urban and Indigenous communities. It’s a thread that connects Canada’s diverse landscapes, seasons, people and experiences.

We launched a campaign called the Great Canadian HIke - which is all about getting people to disconnect from their screens, to reconnect with each other outside on the Trail. We started a partnership with The GenWell Project, and wanted to demonstrate how our missions are aligned. We hired InHouse Creative to shoot a video for us.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

This was a collaboration with GenWell Project, so we used their agency. This was a referral from Pete, the GenWell Project founder.

There was no storyboarding or scripting involved. We wanted a very organic approach, just to film us 'walking and talking' on the Trail, talking about the mission of our organizations. We wanted the video to feel very natural, so there was no script whatsoever. The videographer showed up at our meeting place on the Trail, and we immediately got to work filming us.

 It was a very quick and efficient use of our time. The videographer brought all the equipment and never interrupted the flow of our conversations to adjust or change equipment - in fact, you almost forgot they were there. Post production, I anticipated having to review an hour of footage to choose the bits or segments that we preferred. But we didn't have to do any of it. In fact, I received a first draft that was pretty much perfect. They went above and beyond and found additional video elements to fill in so it's visually more interesting. I was very impressed with their first draft!

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

The process was quick and painless to provide a round of feedback and we were done! We had one quick phone call to summarize the feedback. For a busy executive, I appreciate the efficiency of the process.

The video was included on our Great Canadian Hike website, on LinkedIn, and other social platforms. It was a great way to describe or introduce our new partnership without a long written document. It was well-received. It helped reinforce our message to invite friends, families, neighbours out for a stroll on the Trans Canada Trail as a way to increase happiness, reduce screen time, increase mental and physical health benefits!

The video was much better than I had anticipated, with extra footage that was secured (broll etc) that made the video much more interesting to watch than the ' talking heads ' kind of corporate video. I assumed we would need to do a ton of back and forth...but the very first iteration was a winner! So we didn't have a lot of back and forth, or need for complex project management for this.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their team was creative, quick, efficient, and super affordable.

Nothing I could think of.

We hired In House to shoot and edit a video collaboration between ourselves and the Trans Canada Trail. The goal was a 2 minute video that highlighted the key benefits of the trail and of spending time together as human beings.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We worked with InHouse Creative to help us produce unique content to share with our customers and increase our following. Moreover, they provided us with all the copy and visual aspects of the project, as well as a mini-documentary.

We did a couple of interviews with them, they came in and shot their footage, and we worked closely for about a month to get everything done.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They created this amazing video that we were able to post online to capture the essence of what we do. We use that as a marketing tool to get more engagement from our followers. Their video resulted in an increase in followers on our social media accounts, as well as boost our online visibility.

How did InHouse Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

They were incredibly organized from a project management standpoint. They had more talent than I can describe because they came in with a vision, which they talked very openly with us. Apart from that, InHouse Creative has the creative ingenuity that really lends itself to any kind of project — they were very professional and kind.

We usually communicated through phone calls and in-person meetings. They also set up a WhatsApp group with our executive teams so we were able to stay in contact with them throughout.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The best part about working with them was their professionalism and creativity. They had ideas that were so incredible, and they brought creative energy which they used professionally.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing they could improve on because we were incredibly happy with everything.

I would suggest taking the plunge and not hesitate to work with them. They’re very busy people, and they’re at a point where they can pick and choose who they want to work with.

My partner and I aren’t very creative. We hired them to do the branding and advertising of our business, including logo, colors, and social media and product photos.

What was the scope of their involvement?

InHouse Creative created our brand. They took our ideas and made them physical. Also, they created content for us to post on our social media channels.

When we first approached them, they gave us a deck with their ideas, inspiration, and many general resources that they’d looked at. They did the research, and we were very impressed with that.

Zach (Co-Founder) and Evan (Partner & Head of Brand Strategy) were our main points of contact. There were other people involved, but we primarily talked to them.

How did you come to work with InHouse Creative?

Zach and I connected on LinkedIn about a year and a half before we started working together. We chatted for a bit. He gave me some good tips on doing YouTube videos on the side and improving them in lighting and composition. He did that for free, and it helped a lot.

Then, when we were designing the business, I already knew Zach. He had made a good impression on me, so we just decided to reach out to him.

We spent around $5,000 CAD (approximately $4,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from February–August 2021, and they’ve done everything we needed. However, if we need to redesign the labels or packaging or do more images or product photos, we’ll likely go through InHouse Creative.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We had ideas of how we wanted the brand to be. We wanted the packaging and branding to reflect the quality of the product. Also, we wanted people to get a calm and tranquil feeling from the design while feeling they’re drinking premium tea.

We gave InHouse Creative complete freedom, and we loved the first design they came back with. We did some minor tweaks, but they knocked it out of the park on the first try. If you look at our packaging, that was pretty much the first round.

How did InHouse Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

We gave them a lot of freedom; we didn’t want to be too controlling. They came back with their work, and we asked for 1–2 changes, and they were very understanding. Moreover, they explained the reasoning behind everything and broke it down for us, which we really appreciated.

Our primary means of communication was a group chat on WhatsApp with Zach and Evan. If anybody had a question or comment, they would just send it. We also had weekly calls or video calls to go over everything.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were impressed with their ability to take our disorganized ideas and turn them into a cohesive brand.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, the experience was very smooth. It was our first time working with anybody in the creative space, but they did exactly what we’d hoped for. We didn’t have any bumps in the road.

Have a vision of what you want your brand to be, but let them turn your idea into reality.

We hired InHouse to produce several brand assets: Photography for the website, social media, and collateral. Video for the website and primarily social media. They also took an existing brand guidelines deck and presented it more graphically and included sections around font type, logo use, etc.

We had worked with Zach on a couple of other projects before and wanted to continue building a relationship with InHouse. We did get a few other quotes from freelancers but went with InHouse as we trust them and know they are extremely committed to delivering.

We started with a couple of discovery meetings. In tandem we created a brief for InHouse with photography and videography inspiration and styles that we felt best matched the brand. From there, InHouse put together a couple of story boards and presented studio location options. We had a few more meetings to finalize what the first shoot would be, and I stopped into the set during the first shoot day. From there, we met with both team to review Shoot #1 and provide feedback prior to Shoot #2.

We primarily worked with Zach as our main contact, but Evan and Nur joined most of the meetings. Everyone went above and beyond in terms of communication, and also consistently asked for feedback to ensure we were getting what we wanted. This team is eager to please and over-deliver, and that is reflected in their communication style.

We used photos and video from the shoots to launch the social media channels, which were very well received. The photos themselves, and the editing really helped to create a cohesive aesthetic.

The project management style was great. There were constant check-ins via email, Slack, and text, and we typically had a video call about once a week. Anytime we needed something, had a question or feedback, the response was almost immediate. The team was super accomodating to any and all forms of communication, and turned everything around super quickly

This team was very passionate about the clients they work with. Not only did they strive to over-deliver on what is asked of them, but they also truly care about the success of the brand or client.

We hired InHouse creative to plan and create digital assets for our company including reels and images to use for our website and social. Our goals were to curate high quality content that we can use to promote our brand to both new and exhausting customers resulting in growth.

I had an initial call with Zach and he seemed incredibly knowledgeable and exited to help us reach our goals. I was sent samples of their works and thought they did a really great job that matched the feel we were going for.

We worked together before the project to brainstorm ideas for the content and scheduled a time and place to meet. They arrived on time with all the equipment needed we just had to provide the products. We got to the studio and spent the day preparing the food and filming / taking photos. They were vet efficient, we were finished filming all the content an hour earlier than the expected time.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

I worked with the Zach, Evan and Nurlan. They were very supportive and helped the day move smoothly. They were able to give me clear instructions throughout the day and feedback on placement, positioning and structure of the day was clear and made the day stress free.

I noticed an increase in engagement when posting images or videos that they provided from the project. I also was able to make my site look more professional using images taken.

All timelines were met, communication was clear. Zach was available at any time when I had a question and we had multiple zoom calls before the project started to ensure that we were always on the same page.

I really liked that they are a small team with a focus on customer experience. They were all knowledgeable and talented who really care about their customer. They asked lots of questions to make sure that the end result was exactly what I wanted. I also felt that they were very relaxed in nature which made the whole experience very pleasant. The final product was better than expected and I’m super impressed with the combination of professionalism, quality and quick turnaround time.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

In all it was a very positive experience and I would definitely use Inhouse again. I don’t think there was anything negative but if there was one thing I had to note one of the videos needed a slight tweaking of ingredient names after editing, however, it only took them a couple of hours to turnaround the fixed video so I was super happy with how quickly they were able to get the final video back to me!
