We needed to develop a new brand. EAT came to the rescue. At first we had no idea where to begin. So they built a custom approach for naming exploration. That set us on the right path. Once we figured out what to name our baby, we needed to paint the room. EAT help us with everything from color palette and typography to iconography, animated logo designs and a full brand style guide.

We hired Eat Studio to create our brand identity from scratch. Logo, colors, fonts, apllication proposals(website, merch, packaging...) and most importantly some precise guidelines of all these assets.
We then worked with them to create our social media content and strategy as well as some general strategy consulting.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The 3 month planning has been precisely followed and each step of the process was delivered on date.
The 3 month project included 4 or 5 main steps requesting an action from our part. Every discussions we had were constructives and allowed us to move forward and see the progress of the project after each meeting.

All assets were delivered right on time as well as each steps of the creative process. We felt the process was completely under control and never felt the need to ask for update.
Communication was great despite the fact we condln't meet in real person often.

It was a fantastic session -only area of improvement to go to perfection would be to challenge the team a bit more on the concrete delivery of the practice at the end where we did not really perceive if they used a technique or another.

I’m a former executive at a boutique agency. Our primary services were focused on music, gaming, and tech.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with EAT?
I hired them to help me develop branding, from name ideation to the look and feel.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
EAT provided us with branding services. First, they led an onboarding process and went through a questionnaire about what we were looking for in brand identity. The team also conducted focus groups. From there, we went through a laundry list of possible names with them and dialed in on what we wanted.
They presented some brand identities and branding options with different color schemes that we filtered out through a questionnaire, and we picked one option. The team helped us choose a name and create a color scheme, logo, messaging, and overall brand identity. EAT also handled trademarking.
What is the team composition?
We worked with four teammates from EAT, including Renata (Founder & CEO), Gabriel (Partner, COO & CFO), and a project manager. In the initial phase, four artists were involved in presenting brand identity options.
How did you come to work with EAT?
I found them through a referral and was familiar with their work in the gaming space.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent a bit over $36,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with them from November 2019–January 2020.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
There was a big-time increase in our brand awareness thanks to EAT’s work. We got picked up by major publications, from Billboard to Polestar, that highlighted and gave a lot of positive voices around our brand identity.
How did EAT perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management was impressive; they led a seamless process, and the communication was always there. We used Trello for project management and communicated via Zoom and phone calls.
What did you find most impressive about them?
What was unique about working with EAT was having access to artists from all over the world — from countries like Brazil, France, Germany, and Portugal. We were thinking at a global scale and working with global clients, and having that perspective from EAT and international artists allowed for a wider view of culture codes and what it meant for a brand to live in many countries. They had artists from different cultures that left their footprint on the brand, making us relevant globally.
EAT also had a small but nimble team that worked extremely fast. Therefore, there were never too many cooks in the kitchen, and they dialed in on our needs, bringing a very high bar. Their process made us feel comfortable and guided us on how to think about brand identity, color scheme, and inspiration from other brands to hone in on our goals. As a result, we approved things on the first pass, which was incredible.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Although there’s always room to improve, I can’t think of any constructive feedback for EAT.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be very open-minded to the process and trust what EAT brings to the table. Many people try to manufacture the process, so I’d advise having more faith in their methods instead of coming in with an agenda.
