For what projects/services did your company hire Dimentrix Technologies Pvt. Ltd.?

- We hired Dimentrix to help us out with App development and Admin panels for each of our product modules to support the App infrastructure. - We needed help with scalability and efficiency of the product inorder to reach out to maximum potential users.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goals for the project were: 1. Improved development quality 2. Scalability and Security 3. On schedule deployment and go to market 4. Reducing development cycle time

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

Our existing architecture was not able to scale up to the business needs of the users and of the App in general. It was based of Microservices and while it served our current needs well, we had issues adding newer modules to meet the aspirations of our customer base. We were introduced to Dimentrix via our existing partner and could immediately see synergy between our organizations. Dimentrix being a product company itself, was quickly able to understand issues plaguing the product and were able to give insightful solutions. For this particular product development cycle, we avoided “run-of-the-mill” services vendors right from the start. We wanted to work with a product company as we firmly believed that they have a better set of resources in terms of quality and overall product development process. And with Dimentrix, we were proven right.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

There were multiple projects we worked on with Dimentrix. Each of these was a module that we included in the product. Some of those modules included: Diet: Graphs: Activity Tracking: Mudras: Services provided Visual Design – They helped us bring our vision for all these modules into the app by designing exactly what we had envisioned it to be. We did not want to compromise on the experience the user gets when he/she is using the product and the Dimentrix team helped us achieve it. Graph Visualization – For us one important aspect in the product was to show a user, stats and progression that was easy to understand and actually made sense. The team helped us not only choose the right library they also went out of their way to make us understand its limitations too. Module development – The actual modules were built by them with an emphasis on security, scalability and efficiency. The compatibility and communication between each of these modules was another crucial aspect which was also handled quiet well. Multilingual Admin – This was one of the challenges we had faced while working on the product. Dimentrix helped us understand all the ways in which this could be achieved and then also made us understand why we should take one particular approach over others. Analysis module – Dimentrix actually laid out the drawbacks and constraints for building a qualitative analysis over a quantitative one with crystal clarity. This understanding not only helped us avoid some pitfalls but also enabled us to add more value into the product for the user.

What was the team composition?

The Dimentrix team comprised of 1 manager (10 years experienced, https://www.linkedin.com/in/rohit-rana-70aa1415), between 3-5 React JS and React Native Engineers (varying between 3-5 years of experience), and between 1-3 quality engineers (between 3-5 years)

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Our time to market has certainly improved. We are more confident about the overall platform architecture and its ability to scale up as the user base increases. We are now able to take up and add newer modules much faster than before.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

I was interacting with the team on an almost Bi\Tri-Weekly basis. The process we followed was simple. I would explain us the requirements to the team over a conf. call and subsequently share the requirement documents with them. The team understood them and, if required, further discussed any use cases which we have missed or not identified. The requirement document was revised and then frozen. Post this the team sent across the estimates in terms of efforts, cost and resources. The development process was a weekly milestone-based delivery plan with weekly sync up calls with me and the project manager, where a demo was given of the product deliverables as per the plan. Any feedback received was incorporated and reviewed by me. QA was iterative and inserted at all stages (as and when necessitated by the delivery plan). However, post the development cycle, we had daily demos with the QA where we went into each scenario and reconciled it with the requirement document. This way we ensured that UAT testing has almost 0 issues and there are no last-minute surprises.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They were able to understand the existing architecture quickly and were able to add value fast. This was kind of expected since they are a product company themselves and understand how products are built and their evolution over a period of time. We also liked their entire development process, which is very agile and can accommodate random or new requests more efficiently.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Dimentrix is a well-balanced team. It is one of the best teams I have worked with on any project. Their understanding of Product Development has helped us move at a much better pace. Kudos to the entire team!

I was the founder and CEO of a software development company. We developed a software product that helped developers and business analysts manage databases.

Demand for our product was increasing, so we needed to speed up our development process. We also needed to grow our workforce quickly in a highly competitive labor market.

We wanted to quickly expand our development team and accelerate our product development to match customer demand.

How did you select this vendor?

I had previously worked with them to create a unique open source product, so the technical evaluation was straightforward. We worked with them on a series of smaller projects, then expanded to a larger, singular effort.

Describe the project in detail.

Dimentrix Technologies Pvt. Ltd. was our only offshore development partner for our flagship product and its affiliated tools. They not only supplied us with skilled personnel, who released a high-quality product on time, but also researched requirements and markets for us. 

We handled the product and software design, and they handled implementation. Eventually, we offloaded some features for them. Their QA team did a lot more than manual testing. They also handled performance and scalability testing, product localization, and cross-domain testing.

What was the team composition?

Their team had one manager, one technical architect, 65 Java engineers, and 25 quality engineers. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

One direct impact of this project was creating a much shorter release cycle that finished more features. They also stabilized the product quality significantly, which meant we could quickly respond to customer feedback. Because of the confidence they inspired, we kicked off a new product soon afterward. The value they added helped us stay competitive and focused.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We divided project management responsibilities. We created a roadmap with a list of required functionalities, after which they did market research and created a detailed scope document. Once we finalized the scope and priorities, they shared a project plan, allocated resources, and delivered daily reports on their progress.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They knew how to build high-quality software at a competitive price, and how to manage attrition without impacting the timeline. Their solid hiring process attracts great resources quickly. We also designed a process to shorten the onboarding period for each resource, which helped the team become more productive quickly.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I can't think of anything at this time. They should just keep up the great work!

I am the managing director of SOQ Solutions Pty Ltd, a company that provides technical solutions to the logistics and transport industry in Africa.

We primarily started using their DeepInsight BI solution to provide analytical dashboards to our clients. Eventually, we established that some of our customers had a very specific need for an easy-to-use but detailed fleet management system. As a result, we contracted Dimentrix to develop a proprietary solution called FleetImpaq.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was to provide our customers with a fleet management software that was easy to use and capable of handling complex requirements.

How did you select this vendor?

We had already partnered with Dimentrix Technologies Pvt. Ltd. to utilize their BI solution. The support and customization options that they provided to use their software was more than enough proof that we should use them for our new project.

We put together a comprehensive specification document and discussed the aspects that required further explanation. From there, they finalized the specs and delivered a project plan for our approval. 

The team then started development and provided us with access to their builds for weekly reviews. We would recommend changes where required, and they would rapidly complete them while proceeding with the next stage of development.

What was the team composition?

They gave us a team of five developers and two QA engineers. We were also constantly in communication with management along the way.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Our project was completed well within the projected timelines, and the software solution worked as required.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

They managed the project as specified in the project plan. We received accurate and detailed feedback about every aspect of the project at all times. They completed the deliverables on schedule and implemented all changes within the projected timelines. It was an overall professional and nice experience.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was impressed with how accurately the development stayed in line with our initial specifications. Their speed and costs were also far better than any other projects we’ve done.

Are there any areas for improvement?

There is very little improvement required. I have dealt with numerous development firms over the last 20 years and found Dimentrix Technologies Pvt. Ltd. to be the best by far.
