The easy step is to optimize our website for SEO and make it compatible for the European Accessibility Act, in which they succedded even though our standards regarding the aesthetics of the final website was strict. The hard part was the actual Brand Awareness in a market of strict business and manufacturing area that the word-of-mouth is leading. Our online presence is now of of the key practices within our area of presence in Greece.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The timetable of getting results for the compatibility with the European Accessibility Act compatibility that managed to be applied within a few weeks and after numerous interventions from our side and the massive change of leads from new clients within 2 years of work from them without any work from our side. The amount of knowledge they achieved in our area of business was astonishing

The website itself needed way too much work to be ready and optimized for SEO and given that our standards for the aesthetics of the front-end were multiple times against Google's directives, they managed to achive the golden ratio between ROI and our aesthetics needed. Given that European Accessibility Act compatibility that put lots of extra pressure on them, the time they provided results was unexpected. The part of the brand awareness was actualy a plan that we did not believe in that would give an outcome, since our business is based on word-of-mouth, but still when we received their market research for our business we were left in awe. They have found "key-pins" in our area of business that we were achieving after years, not weeks that they delivered. Given their passion at the time, they started sharing results in the first 6 months.

The passion the put in their work in order to deliver what is not expected. The communication between our company and them is always based on a thin-line between friendship and strict business collaboration, that sometimes it is hard to keep but they can keep it there.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Digital Time Savers could have done differently?

We are eager to move our barnd to a new level by adding video to our campaigns and we will sure need their help to make this step. We trusted them when they asked from us to be a little bit more patient. Still we are eager to move a bit forward even though they do not recomend it. Secondary, after all those years of collaboration and close-calls with timetables that have over-delivered, the relationship between us is somewhere between friends and business. Not close to any of them. Right in the middle. Maybe it is for good.

How did your relationship with Digital Time Savers evolve?

After a bit of a bumpy start we had a very good almost 2 hours lasting conversation during which we were able to clarify prior miscommunications - thus, for example a clarifying e-mail response from Nick, the agency owner was never delivered since it had landed in my spam folder, as later confirmed - we found an amicable solution that leaves both parties happy. I’m glad we were able to eliminate all pending misimpressions and I’m confident that this necessary clarification gives way for a fresh start in our cooperation. 

In what ways can they improve?
An initial team meeting with everyone involved in which goals are defined and the client can share his brand vision in a conference call might be helpful to make sure that everyone is pulling in the same direction.
What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?
Define a clear vision of where you want to go with your brand, your brand's tone and style, your target audience and product pricing and share in detail with your agency to avoid the risks of vagueness right from the start.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Absolute zero!

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

• Project management was virtually non-existent. There was a girl called Ivi assigned as "project manager" who submitted a few mandatory comments on slack but otherwise made more than clear that she was not interested in communicating with the client. 
• There was never one single strategy meeting. Occasionally a guy called Yiannis and only after request introduced as "art buyer" presented me drafts of ads that were a far cry from a professional graphic design approach. In fact the use of horrible fonts and the overall graphic representation indicated that there wasn't anyone with graphic design skills involved. So much for “targeted and relevant ads that will represent the company’s tone and style”. 
• The two most important events in Q4, Christmas and Black Friday, which I had prepared with a Christmas collection and special offers, were simply ignored and wiped away by Nick the owner with: “Sorry, we had some internal issues.” 
• Concerned by the total absence of success over the period of two months I had to ask them to use catalogue ads as pretty much the gold standard in the industry, which was followed by Yiannis’ excited statement: “ these are the best performing ads so far!” Three months later, after 3 (!!) generated sales and mentioning above concerns to Nick, instead of addressing this very reasonable criticism, he blamed it all on the changed algorithm and ended the agreement, offering me to continue this excellent work on a monthly retainer fee basis. 

Since then he’s been ghosting me. In summary, these guys not only lack the competence to do the job, they simply don’t care. They take your money and run. Don’t fall for this trap.

The professional way with which their marketing person Rachel in Australia and owner Nick in Greece lure you into the idea of a competent, trustworthy agency to then take your money and run.

We wanted to expand our online presence and target a specific audience.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Digital Time Savers helps us with social media advertising, especially on Facebook, but also on YouTube and Instagram. We’ve established a series of KPIs to measure the success of the campaign each week. Digital Time Savers have also created a series of videos to help us show our games and provided consulting to improve our profiles on platforms such as Upwork, Fiverr, and an informational WordPress webpage.

Besides WordPress, they also use Shopify, Facebook Ads, and Google Ads.

What was the team composition?

We have two teammates involved in the project, but we’re mainly in contact with Nick (CEO & Founder).

How did you come to work with Digital Time Savers?

I found them on Upwork. I contacted different agencies and booked calls with a few to ask for quotations and proposals. Ultimately, I chose Digital Time Savers because they offered some services free of charge, such as the creation of a Meta Pixel and a Facebook page.

How much have you invested in them?

We pay a percentage of the investment we make in ads. In total, we’ve paid them around $4,000.

What is the status of this engagement?  

We started working with them in October 2022 and had a campaign three months ago. Recently, we started a third campaign, so it’s an ongoing collaboration.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We got 3,000 followers in a month spending less than €2 (approximately $2 USD) per day. We’ve also had a 4% conversion rate, which is actually a good number. Overall, Digital Time Savers are good at what they do. Our investment has had good results; it’s been 300% more effective than our previous experiences investing in ads.

How did Digital Time Savers perform from a project management standpoint?

We mostly communicate via email. If we want to book a call, we use Calendly. For project management tools, we initially used GoodDay. However, it didn’t suit us, so we switched to email.

Digital Time Savers is great at creating social media ads and profiles. They’re professionals, and the landing page they created is amazing.

They could’ve been a bit faster.
