Once we chose a theme, they finalised the design and provided feedback through InVision. This allowed us to show them how we wanted the rest of the site to look. The vendor came back to us with designs for our other pages, including an updated "contact us" form.

In total, we worked with 4 people including a project manager, two designers, and a QA resource during the final phase.

We had a dedicated project manager who outlined the project steps with time frames which included Discovery Wireframing, Prototyping & Concept Delivery, Development, Extended Operation & Functionality, Content & Tweaks, Testing & Launch. The web design was uploaded to the Invision App software for us to view and add comments.

A project manager was our main point of contact who worked with a development team and digital marketing team behind the scenes so we only had to liaise with one person for the whole project which made communication alot easier.

After launching our new site, our traffic, enquiries and leads have increased and many people have commented that they love the modern, interactive design and features.

We had several meeting in order to identify what we needed and explain the history and potential audience of our newspaper. This was a new project for CBD since it is likely the first newspaper they worked with. However, they worked with organisations with similar requirements and they were confident that they can do the job. We agreed on the wire frames and general layout of the website. They also helped us with redesigning the logo without losing our identity.

The focal point was Daniel who was friendly and helped us get the best out of this project. He was the main person between us and the rest of the team. We also communicated briefly with Georgia on financial issues such as invoices.

You can see the archives at www.yementimes.com (starting from 27th Feb 2023). Creative Brand Design helped us create the landing page until the site launch. In the landing page we had a subscription option for people to be informed when the site will be up.

The migration of the archives was the most challenging. But we soldiered through especially that we had people in Yemen digitising the content from the paper archives and support from YT family Walid to make the archives accessible to CBD. It was a great partnership.

I liked their style of design and the creativity in the presentation. We couldn't get the most of this -yet - because for now the site is only an archive. But when we return The Yemen Times to be fully operational this beautiful design will be more visible. Another impressive aspect is the company's knowledge of WordPress and the various tools to create great websites. Also, Daniel was patient and helpful. As we progresses in the implementation we kept facing issues and he was ready to work with our team to resolve them.

Please describe your company and your position there.
Commercial property developers, specialising in developing dotcom, last mile, on-shoring and speculative facilities, supporting growth in the UK logistics market. My role is to oversee our design and PR work.

For what projects/services did your company hire Creative Brand Design, and what were your goals?
We redesigned our website to have a fresh modern approach, whilst also reducing the amount of text, making it more interesting for the viewer and easier to navigate.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We came across them on a website promoting award winning UK web designers. We liked the look of some of their previous projects and after interviewing a selection of designers felt most confident in their approach.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We began with a kickoff meeting for them to understand what we do, our core values and how we wanted to reflect that in design. The team then worked to create wireframes of how each page would look and we would approve these or make changes.
Once happy the developers then created the site, where we were then able to make further edits. The team were great to work with as they taught me along the way how to edit the site, meaning we could be self-sufficient and make changes quicker. Once all was approved by our team we launched the site and monitored any issues.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We mostly communicated directly with the project manager who then spoke with their team. This worked well as it reduced the amount of people we had to deal with and could have one reliable contact.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We have had lots of feedback from costumers liking the design.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We started off with one contact during the wireframe stages, then got passed on to someone else for the development stages. We realised this was confusing as some co,communication got lost so we requested to work directly with the project manager which worked out better. We communicated mostly through emails and the occasional teams call.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They helped us with learning how to navigate the site's backend throughout the whole development. They were super quick to respond and make any changes.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Some foresight for launch could have helped us as we totally forgot about google analytics and missed out on 2 days worth, maybe a launch pre-check list for their clients. Also a fair amount of pages that weren't linked correctly, which could have been reviewed better, but I appreciate we changed our launch date so they had other projects on.

Our wesbite was outdated and needed to be modernised so we asked Creative Brand Design to help build and design a new website which better reflected our services and vision.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Looked for web developers and have previously used CBD for other work. They have been very accommodating and helpful throughout the whole process.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
After meetings to discuss what we wanted, they put together abase of the website and the structure and have worked with us all throughout the process, advising on what would look good and where, inclusive of providing images. Also advising on what appeals most to our audiance through research and taking on our requests and making them happen in the best possible way.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
I had one main person I worked with and was in contact with the whole time until the last stages after it was launched when they have been doing final domain updates.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Everytime we have wanted changes, these have been implemented. We have given big ones and small ones and each time the difference has been astounding. Our Director who hasn't had any input or seen it at any stage, saw it for the first time a few days after launch and he was very impressed.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Very effective. We have been in constant commuication and aware of progress at each stage.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The knowldge and the willingness to help and share what they think is best, even if it meant more work for them. They always wanted the website to be the best it could be as if it were their own.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Things could always been done faster, however, the quality fo the outcome and last product is worth the time it has taken.

We had a number of 1:1 design sessions after which they created several logos and styleguides. After we selected the logos they created the website in Wordpress, and have assisted us in maintaining and updating the site on an ongoing basis. They also provided us with styleguide materials.

Our main point of contact throughout the development was their creative director, who had a designer working in the background. Further work after the initial scope was delivered was arranged via their studio manager.

Our branded materials (case studies, brochures, etc.) saw an increase in downloads of 70%, meaning that potential customers were much more likely to see the material we had created.
