Corewide’s primary objective was to transform the existing SaaS MVP infrastructure into a secure, scalable, and production-ready platform for commercial use.

Deliverable - Audit existing Azure infrastructure

Perform an in-depth assessment of the current Azure infrastructure to uncover gaps and apply industry best practices for enhanced security and operational efficiency.

Deliverable - Migrate existing ARM templates to Terraform

Phase one of the project involves converting the existing infrastructure into Terraform-based Infrastructure-as-Code by exporting ARM templates and codifying previously unmanaged resources. This establishes a unified and version-controlled baseline that facilitates infrastructure changes and supports seamless horizontal and vertical scaling.

Deliverable - Network Hardening and Services Optimisation

Enhance the existing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) configuration based on findings from the audit phase—focusing on Azure project organization structure, security hardening, and network performance optimization. Implement necessary configurations across Azure-managed services to improve availability, ensure redundancy, and optimize for cost efficiency

Deliverable - CI/CD Adjustments

Refine the CI/CD pipelines within the infrastructure repository to support Terraform-based provisioning. Ensure that deployment workflows are clearly defined for each environment and operate in isolation. Infrastructure change plans should be automatically generated and referenced in pipeline logs and stored as Azure DevOps artifacts for traceability. Additionally, make targeted adjustments to the CI/CD configurations in application repositories to leverage Azure Pipelines environments, providing a centralized and convenient view of each environment, associated code deployments, and deployment history.

Enhance the existing Azure Monitoring configuration to ensure comprehensive visibility into both project applications and Azure-managed services. Set up an initial dashboard to provide a unified observability view and establish a foundation for configuring alerts and proactive monitoring.

Deliverable - Non-Production Environments Migration

Provision replacement infrastructure for all non-production cloud environments and migrate existing environments accordingly. This process includes data migration as needed, validation to ensure successful transitions, and cleanup of redundant resources—such as outdated ARM templates in the IaC repository and unused assets in Azure.

Deliverable - Provision Secure Staging and Production Environments

Provision staging and production environments that mirror each other to support seamless release processes and route-to-live workflows. Collaborate closely with penetration testing specialists to ensure both environments are secure and fully prepared for commercial use.

They were very responsive and adaptable, quickly addressing our needs and adjusting plans when necessary to ensure smooth progress. The only challenge I faced was tracking some of the many activities in progress, which meant I had to ask for a status when I could have just check myself. I understand this is being addressed by Corewide with a client ticketing portal which I am told will be lauching soon.

Corewide were initially instructed to conduct an Infrastructure Audit for our SaaS platform with a view to awarding a contract for ongoing DevOps support as well as some ongoing maintenance and scalability work. 

The initial scope involved migrating to a new infrastructure, implementing IaC, utilising Kubernetes, optimising deployment pipelines, cost optimisations for a-synchronous processing tasks and introduction of additional environments.

• Our system uptime has been > 99.95%
• Our incident response time is now minutes instead of hours (or sometimes even days)
• Our media processing times are a fraction of the previous times (varies depending on a multitude of factors) despite load increasing >30% month on month

Corewide's response times are better than any organisation I have worked with. The team are diligent, attentive and truly care about the success of our business. 

When it comes to fixed scope projects, Corewide do not rush into implementation - they take the time to understand requirements, supply a scope and welcome discussion to ensure it is fit for purpose before progressing to implementation. We receive regular updates based on our requirements, milestones and the scope of work.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their interest in the success of our business and application. Most previous contracting agencies we have worked with have (understandably) been focussed on execution of their workscope and being able to invoice the work as a result. 

Corewide takes a unique approach. They invest in the success of their clients, which in turn results in more frequent work for them and a strong element of trust between the organisations. We view them as an extension of our team.

Honestly, no. Any suggestions we have had, Corewide have taken on board and implemented very quickly. This includes how the work scopes are supplied and how communications/updates are handled.

We grew our development department with > 100% last year. More devs, more projects and a distributed monolith is not a good combination. Big bowl of non-maintainable scripts, everything stuffed into a big repo with pretty extreme build and testing times. We contacted Corewide to look at our infrastructure and come with suggestions on what to fix in alignment of our planned way forward.

We talked to a lot of DevOps-as-a-Service vendors but no one came even close to Corewide. We talk the same language and you instantly feel that these boys and girls really know what they are talking about. Sound pricing, excellent initial study and a 100% match in regards to culture.

Let’s start by saying the project is ongoing but it all started with an initial review of our infrastructure and our repo/project structure. After this initial review we got a proposal with milestones going forward. Milestones looked great and were totally in line with what we wanted to do. Currently 2 of 6 milestones have been completed, both where done in time and within budget.

Corewide have delivered 2 of 6 milestones, on time and within budget. Even a war has not slowed them down.

Everything has been completed on time. We have the list of the milestones to be completed and have had weekly meetings with CTO and Devs in regards to progress.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Corewide really knows DevOps culture and is highly professional. They are straight forward, speak up if there is something they do not like and is a partner that really can be trusted.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

During the first 4-5 months I really do not have ideas of improvement. Smoooooth cooperation!

I am the product owner and project manager of MAS. MAS is a software program that helps companies manage all their databases and servers by automating manual tasks. It also help track the companies compliance with Oracle and Microsoft licenses.

We needed to be in AWS and Azure quickly and did not have any DevOps resources. We were also having a hard time finding competent UI and Python developers locally. Corewide had all the talented resources we needed and we couldn't be happier with the outcome.

One of our team members suggested we talk to them for the resources we needed. We were very impressed by their experience and knowledge level.

They containerized our product so it would be available as a SaaS in AWS and Azure. They did it very quickly and improved the way the application performed. We also saw improvements in security.

We are working with a UI developer, a python developer and a team of DevOps experts. Each one of the resources has been amazing to work with they are extremely talented and knowledgeable. Each person has made invaluable contributions to the design and functionality of the application, especially when you consider the stress and emotional battles as their country is under siege.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were up and running on both cloud platforms in record time. We all agree that we don't know of any other team that could have been so successful as quickly as Corewide. The performance and stability of our application has improved greatly because of the expertise from Corewide. All that talent and we can honestly say that each person is a pleasure to work with.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We have not had any issues working with them. They are willing to work odd hours to be available during our business hours. Even with the sirens going and the conditions they are having to endure, they are available on a regular basis and continue to do great work. Their dedication is inspiring.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I think the most special thing about Corewide is the people. They are extremely good at what they do and they do it with a sense of humor and team attitude that sets them aside from any other IT company I have worked with.

The only thing I can say is we could get Putin out of Ukraine so these people can live in peace.
