Codequest implemented their coding skills to create the entire IT infrastructure and MVP [minimum viable product] of the client’s financial service system.
For a company that had not worked with financial institutions before, codequest did an impressive job of providing actual solutions for the client in addition to quality code.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
We are a fintech [financial technology] startup. We set up a marketplace in Poland that allows small businesses access to convenient lending. It’s all financed by well-to-do businessmen. We perform credit scores fully online and we have a couple of credit score models. The objective is to be able to provide a customer their credit score in no more than ten minutes based off of digital data they submit to our database.
I’m a co-founder and Chief Executive Officer.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with codequest?
I needed to build the entire architecture of a system. Although I had the idea, the money from my partners, and both financial and technical knowledge, I didn’t have a single pure IT guy. I needed a tech partner and that is what codequest became.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
They are still working with the idea and the IT infrastructure. From my point of view, I still don’t think I need a CTO [Chief Technology Officer].
How did you come to work with codequest?
One of the shareholders in my company has a technical background. He’s a COO in a large financial institution and he referred me to codequest. After that, I met them and made sure they had enough resources and an enough number of developers. I wanted to make sure they are full-bodied because I knew that my project would be large.
How much have you invested with codequest?
The project ranged from $150,000 to $220,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began the project in March 2016 and it is ongoing. We are just a couple days away from having the MVP.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?
The key metric for myself was to have the MVP ready six weeks ago, but the delay is fully justified by the different challenges we encountered during the numerous configurations we had with our partners. When we started the full integration, we found that it was going to be very difficult. We are integrated with a business intelligence database that is run by a Polish banking system. The database is huge, very difficult, and very old school, but codequest managed to maneuver it. We expected the project to take six weeks and it ended up being three months, but everything takes time.
How did codequest perform from a project management standpoint?
We are using JIRA and Slack for project management, and it seems that all the sprints are completed. The product owner is on their side and she does a fine job. We give them technical specifications of different financial models, and they divide these business issues into IT tasks. We are communicating every day through JIRA, but also through the phone. What I like about codequest is that they don’t start coding until we both are 100% sure that we have the same understanding of the issue that we need to code.
What did you find most impressive about codequest?
I used to work for financial institutions and my experience was purely with .NET developers. I think that in traditional financial institutions, IT guys are just coders. They just code, and you need a couple of business analysts and other guys who will translate what you want to do into the code. What I like about the codequest team is that they try to figure out a better way for you to achieve something. Once they understand what we want to achieve, they sit back, think for a while, and call us again to communicate before they begin to code. They find a solution instead of just coding.
Codequest proved to be great support with the AWS, where we placed our architecture. We encountered a massive issue with hadhoop and HBase that we use on AWS. The case was really difficult and took many days to resolve by the AWS team in various locations. Codequest really stood up. My personal belief is it would take much longer to resolve the issue without the skills and experience of CQ team.
Are there any areas codequest could improve?
I don’t really think so. The ex-post analysis is 100% accurate even though it was a totally new thing for them. I don’t think they have worked for any financial institutions before, so it was difficult, but we are having a nice relationship. The communication is fine.

Codequest used the coding software Ruby on Rails and Swift iOS to fully develop a gaming application for the client, converting an idea into a tangible and functional software.
Beyond delivering hard quality code, codequest also contributed to the application development on a conceptual level, providing useful insights that the client appreciated.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
We are a sports gaming platform called Sports Lion. I’m the Chief Executive Officer and founder.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with codequest?
When we first approached codequest, we only had a vision of a sports betting platform that offered intrinsic rewards to the users rather than real money. We worked closely with codequest on ways we could basically turn this vision into something tangible in terms of a software product.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We began by laying out the plan for everything. We started with a web version of our gaming application as a design of what it would look like. We bounced around ideas on the design and layout, and the algorithms of how the game should work. Then, codequest delivered on all the layouts and the hard code. Codequest had great ideas. We worked closely with their project leaders and with their top management, and they contributed an invaluable amount to the end product on a conceptual level instead of just a programming level.
How did you come to work with codequest?
A friend of mine actually recommended codequest. I was asking for a highly skilled programming company that could provide software services with insight, not just hard code. I was looking for someone who could participate in the planning and the design of the whole concept.
How much have you invested with codequest?
The project ranged from $40,000 to $60,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with codequest from November 2013 to July 2014.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?
We gather a lot of feedback from our users and they love the design that codequest created. The functionality is great. There have been virtually no bugs or glitches in the application, so it’s very high-quality code. Obviously for us, as a gaming company, design and functionality are the most important things.
How did codequest perform from a project management standpoint?
Codequest assigned a project leader to our project with whom we were in close contact on pretty much a daily basis, and he was very responsive. We would Skype, I would travel to Poland, and we would talk on the phone and send emails on a daily basis. It was a very good experience in the sense that the communication worked well and he was available and accessible.
What did you find most impressive about codequest?
I think the biggest thing is the quality of their code. They are highly skilled in Ruby on Rails. They also really know what they’re doing with Swift iOS. The quality of their education and the quality of their work experience has created a team of very highly skilled coders at codequest.
Are there any areas codequest could improve?
I think a good thing to keep in mind is once you start working with codequest, you should know what you are shooting for because once they start working, they go hard and fast. If you’re not sure what you’re looking for, I think you should first figure that out yourself because codequest is very good and quick to deliver.

We found them by browsing the web. We sent a request for proposal, and codequest replied to it. We chose to go with codequest after talking to Tomasz, the owner, and evaluating the quality of their service.
What is the status of this engagement?
I have been working with codequest for three years. The project is ongoing. It is one big project with multiple subprojects included.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?
Our platform has been in the market for more than a year. Codequest has helped us expedite the delivery of the product. They have been reliable and competitive. They have been able to scale the team up and down according to our needs.
How did codequestperform from a project management standpoint?
They are great at project management. The team leader directly communicates with me and helps make improvements on every iteration.
What did you find most impressive about codequest?
Codequest is always striving to improve their methodologies. They have very qualified engineers. They promote growth within their company, therefore, if you hire a junior resource today, within a few months you feel that you are working with a much more experienced engineer. Their engineers’ growth develops rapidly. That’s one big difference. They are very reliable, and they have great communication.
Are there any areas codequest could improve?

Describe what your company does in a single sentence.
The Terrace Real Estate Company is a local and independently owned real estate brokerage bound together by experienced agents and staff who live and are personally invested in Terrace and the surrounding region.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What specific goals or objectives did you hire codequest to accomplish?
We wanted to improve internal workflows: automate certain repetitive tasks like matching potential buyers to listings, draft first-pass marketing content for properties, and analyze local market trends in real time. The challenge was to build a system intelligent enough to be helpful, yet intuitive and warm enough that it would still feel in line with our service philosophy. We needed a partner who understood both the technical side of AI and the human side of real estate. That’s what led us to Codequest.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
From the initial consultation, Codequest approached the project with a sense of curiosity, clarity, and purpose. They took the time to truly understand our business—not just our goals, but our values. They shadowed our agents, sat in on team meetings, and even visited our office in Terrace to get a feel for the community and the clients we serve. That level of care made a big impression.
The scope of work was multi-phased and thoughtfully structured:
Phase 1: Discovery and Analysis – They mapped out our operations, conducted interviews with key staff, and collected data to understand where AI could provide the most impact.
Phase 2: Custom AI Tool Development – Codequest designed and built a set of tailored AI tools, including:
A Smart Listing Assistant that generated initial property descriptions from agent notes.
A Client-Match Engine that analyzed buyer preferences and matched them with current listings.
A Real-Time Market Insight Dashboard that pulled and visualized local sales data, trends, and forecasts.
An Automated Follow-Up System that helped our team stay on top of leads and inquiries without losing that personal touch.
Phase 3: Training & Integration – They didn’t just hand over the tools. They led in-depth training sessions for our agents and staff, ensuring everyone felt confident and comfortable using the technology. They also built these tools to integrate with our existing CRM and listing platforms seamlessly.
Each deliverable was documented, thoroughly tested, and customized to our needs, both visually and functionally. Their team even incorporated feedback mid-development when they noticed one of our agents had a different workflow style than expected.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
While we never approached this as a numbers-first project, the results were undeniable. Our agents now spend significantly less time on repetitive tasks and more time doing what they do best—working directly with clients. We’ve seen a noticeable uptick in client satisfaction, with many complimenting the speed and accuracy of our communication. One of our agents shared a story where a new buyer emailed in late one evening, and thanks to the AI assistant, she had a tailored list of properties ready for them by morning—something that would’ve taken hours previously.
The Smart Listing Assistant has cut down listing prep time drastically. What used to be a drawn-out back-and-forth between agent and admin is now an efficient, collaborative review. And the market insights tool has become a key part of how we advise clients, especially commercial investors, who appreciate having up-to-date local data at their fingertips.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
Codequest delivered every milestone on time, often ahead of schedule. What stood out was their responsiveness; if something didn’t feel quite right, they were on it—sometimes within the same day. There was never any sense of being “handed off.” We had a dedicated project lead who was genuinely invested in our success and made sure our feedback was heard and acted upon.
What was your primary form of communication with codequest?
Virtual Meeting
Email or Messaging App
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their ability to blend cutting-edge technology with a human-centered approach is what impressed us most. This wasn’t about off-the-shelf AI or generic solutions—they built something that fit us. Their team asked questions that made us reflect not just on what we needed, but why we needed it. They respected our identity as a community-based business and made sure the tools felt like a natural extension of that. They even went so far as to localize elements of the system—incorporating neighborhood-level insights, local terminology, and design elements that aligned with our brand.
Are there any areas for improvement or something codequest could have done differently?
Honestly, there’s little we’d change. If anything, perhaps more structured post-launch analytics would’ve been helpful. While we saw the improvements and got anecdotal feedback from our team, having more formal, built-in usage tracking or performance dashboards from the outset could have helped us better quantify ROI. That said, they’ve already included that in our upcoming maintenance phase.
