We had already had a working production project with clients when we started working with Łukasz. He helped us to "move into the future":
migrated us to Terraform and Ansible from Puppet&Cloud Formation
built CodeDeploy pipelines for each part of our product for production and test environments
centralized in Terraform user management:
we have multiple environments (prod/test/demo/dev)
numerous users with various roles
all of this need to be auditable
his work helped a lot with annual external audits
worked with developers on the security and performance of our product:
applied multiple database, ec2, and network performance tweaks
myriads of load tests - every non-trivial change needed to be tested before it lands on production

We used our Jira with a separate DevOps project. Apart from that Lukasz was available on Slack, for any questions or quick help. Larger things went to Jira and were planned.
Delivery was on time. Lukasz can work independently - ofc he was happy to go into details if you want, but typically you set goals, and talk about "interface" between infrastructure and code of your product and he delivers.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Most impressive I think was their ability to deliver very well-designed infrastructure from my generic and sometimes a bit chaotic requirements. Those requirements sometimes change rapidly.

There is nothing obvious that I can point out from the top of my head. I was happy with the years that we worked together. Early one something clicked between us and I felt that we could rely on them.
