I’m am the finance director at Bonnington’s, an import wholesaler of gardening and home and leisure products.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Cloudfy?
We needed to change our website as it was old and difficult to update.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Cloudfy created the new website that we wanted. Our existing site was six years old, so we really wanted to update its design and functionality. They updated all our graphics and reorganized our product presentations to make them look more professional, appealing, and streamlined the checkout process. We can now update the website content easily through our management interface.
A big part of the reason we chose Cloudfy was that it was its own system and as part of the monthly fee, they would keep the system updated and keep adding new features automatically. The backend works differently in that all Cloudfy’s customers are on the same platform, so when they put extra functionality or a fix on for one customer it is available to everyone automatically. This is so much better than our previous system where we had to have everything done bespoke for us on a chargeable basis.

We mainly interact with four people from Cloudfy’s team who managed different aspects of the project.
How did you come to work with Cloudfy?
We had different agencies submit project proposals to us for the initial design of our site. We were very happy with what Cloudfy came up with, so choosing them was as easy decision to make.
How much have you invested with them?
We paid £25,000 (approximately $35,000 USD) for the website upgrade, and our continued subscription amounts to £1,000 (approximately $1,400 USD) each month.
What is the status of this engagement?
The engagement started in January 2018, and it’s still ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’re nearing £4.5 million in sales this year, compared to £2 million before Cloudfy’s team setup our new website. Customers really like the new interface and how it makes ordering easier for them. Their team’s SEO efforts also drive good quality organic traffic. I like their work because our customers obviously like it!
How did Cloudfy perform from a project management standpoint?
We had weekly meetings where Cloudfy showed the progress made, gaps to be caught up and upcoming issues. Cloudfy’s team met their deadlines it was our data and content preparation that delayed our go live.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Cloudfy just manages to make everything work smoothly. I’ve worked with other service providers where there were regular issues but Cloudfy is different, it just works

No, we’ve been very happy with their work.

We delivered an overview of our spec requirements to Cloudfy who then created a clear project plan and requirements for us to work on. We were using old, legacy stock feed systems which presented quite a challenge from our side but Cloudfy supported us in adapting some processes to allow the feeds. Phase one was a fully transactional site and following phases will be to further integrate the B2B site with our back end platforms

How did you select Cloudfy and what were the deciding factors?
Cloudfywe offered us, from the beginning, service, and solution that adjusts to our profile and objectives. Platform in full operation but that allowed customization in order to mirror our specificity both in terms of market and company.
The ability to understand our market and company and the availability to satisfy our business requirements were decisive. Also important were the deadlines for having the service up and running and the cost within our budget and expectations.

After the initial meeting, where we discussed the project team, the objectives, deadlines, and methodology to be followed in the project, we received the project planning, and a few days later we had access to the development and test environment that allowed us to validate the successive phases of development and the validation of information processes and circuits by our team.
As an integration was made with our SAGE 2000 system, this was also an area of the project that required a lot of work and validation. We use the Teams tool for our communication, not only in writing but also with video calls. Videos explaining how to use our B2B website were made and provided to our customers. Internal training was also provided to our sales rep, operations team, and it.

Our entire sales team was involved in the project, from the commercial director to the sales reps. The entire order tracking process is done by the respective sales representative. In addition to the commercial area, also the operations & logistics, and the financial areas were involved, in addition, obviously, of our IT department.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The platform was easily adapted by our customers and recognized internally as a great support to the sales force. We are still improving our internal processes to make the most of it. The pandemic situation has also changed the permits underlying the project, but the results have been as expected.

Although always keeping in mind its methodology and planning, it was easy to obtain its availability to cushion our specificity and inexperience of the organization for this new channel. Whenever a requested feature or change was available, they accompanied our test and that made it quickly reach our goal
