After a kick-off meeting, they gave us sample posts for the social media platforms that we chose and asked us to choose a target audience and suggest hash tags. They also asked us to provide brand collateral and access to our logins through a password manager. The process was quick and streamlined.

Our Instagram followers grew from 100 to 1000. Our LinkedIn followers grew from 0 to 300. We had regular quality posts with little to no input from our side.

It was really smooth. They sent sample posts for review every two weeks. If there was a holiday coming up, they would send the posts in advance.

I’m the co-founder of Curate Beauty. Curate Beauty is a B2B marketplace platform specializing in indie beauty. We’re basically an e-commerce website that sells to shops, retailers, or anyone buying independently owned beauty brands at wholesale prices.

We previously worked with a digital marketing agency but didn’t see the right leads coming out of the engagement. We needed to figure out the right way to target our audience and have those consumers join us.

After our first conversation, Khaleelah (Founder) created a proposal with her recommendations. As we had a limited budget, we needed to decide between Google Ads, social media, and SEO campaigns. Khaleelah essentially created a database with calculations on what methods would produce the greatest ROI based on our status quo. Using that information, we decided on our spend and where to direct our budget. Their team now manages our Facebook Ads and Instagram Ads. We produce all the creative in-house. However, they give us feedback and direction for creating the most effective visuals.

Our growth rate for customers joining our platform has doubled month over month. From November to December, we saw 100% growth in website usage. Last weekend, we had our best weekend of sales. We did £3,000 (approximately $4,000 USD) in one weekend, which was unheard of for us. It’s clear that they do a lot of thinking and strategizing on the backend before testing everything.

At first, our budget was even smaller. Khaleelah told us to wait until we had a return before expanding the budget. In a way, she turned away business to our benefit. It’s clear she has our best interest at heart.

We were able to implement conversion tracking for all of our campaigns which allowed us to have a better understanding of what platforms worked and didn't work for our market. They also provided performance reporting on a weekly basis and engaged in test campaigns with smaller platforms, influencers, and some paid posts. CF also provided creative assets for our website and emails on an ad hoc basis.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our following on the key social media platforms, along with engagement, grew substantially during the project. CF established a consistent look and feel for the creative used in social media which provided a more professional appearance than we had previous to their engagement.

It was very effective. Our CF counterparts attended and contributed to internal DealNews meetings in which we determined our promotional calendar and our Blog content. CF was very responsive and consistently provided thorough opinions based on research and social best practices which they provided as supporting references.

Careful is very well-versed in social media and took ownership of this project as if they were DealNews employees. Their strategies were well thought-out and supported yet they were always flexible to test new ideas that were offered. They were nimble and responsive. Great partners!

No, Careful Feet executed the project professionally and with a high level of performance. We initially intended for the engagement to be a short-term one until we grew our team and it ended up lasting a full year until we had the resources to bring it in-house.

I was really happy with the final branding. Of course the ultimate test is whether the consumer would find it appealing. The fact that the brand was listed in a multi store healthy food retailer only weeks after is testament to a great job done!

My team is just me. I never had to repeat things twice. I did not need to chase and my expectations were very well managed. The team was also flexible if I needed to focus on a different aspect of the business for a few weeks. I feel my feedback was always gracefully taken into consideration (I am a perfectionist).

Very responsive and flexible. Nothing hidden and nothing unexpected: overall everything you expect of a professional, fast and meticulous job.
