Lorena and Tim setup a virtual meeting anytime we have a new project so they are clear on what we need and what services they can provide to meet those needs. After the meeting we get a proposal for the scope of work that will be done with the hours needed to complete the projects and the cost. Once approved I have found the project starts right away.  During the projects and either Lorena or Tim reach out to say how things are going and once things are complete we have another virtual meeting to ensure I know how to use the product and can pass that information on to other employees. The 2 main projects the team recently completed were the Individualized Growth Plan required by our Department of Education and a plugin that fills out the appropriate behavior form on the approved state Form A.

Tim and Lorena always meet our time frame needs even when there is a quick turnaround. Anytime I had a question about one of the plug-ins or customizations, I would hear back from them quickly, and Tim would send me an example of what the changes would look like.  Also what is great is if there is an update with a product we have they let us know and provide the link to update the product.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

There are many things I find impressive or unique about this company especially with the staff who I have worked with, Lorena and Tim, and that is why I recommend them to people anytime I can.  First of all not many companies have employees that will setup a time to meet with you after normal hours which needed to happen in our case as I was dealing with state reporting during the day and needed to meet after hours and the team had no issue it with this.  I also find it unique and impressive to have such a talented engineer, Tim, who is able to fullfil any needs I might have with regards to PowerSchool solutions. Tim has taught me a lot just through the virtual meetings and emails and has saved us a lot of time and made sure we are doing things in a state compliant manner.  Anytime I hear from Lorena and Tim they ask how things are going and you can tell they care about their customers and would go the extra mile to ensure everything is correct.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Capitol Tech Solutions could have done differently?

I have absolutely no areas for improvement for Capital Tech Solutions as Lorena and Tim met all my expectations and then some. I really wish other orgaiziatrions worked like this as it would make processes more efficient, reliable and enjoyable to work with.

Very effective. Weekly and daily check-in during implementation against a plan, and then weekly on an ongoing basis as part of our support. They are an extension of our team.

I’m the owner of a haircutting shop. We’re a new concept that combines a barbershop and a salon to provide a musical experience. When you step into our salon, it feels like a small music venue.

We offer three separate experiences in different rooms, and everybody shares the same music using a new technology that we’ve integrated into the chairs. Customers can feel the bass, middle, and treble of each song.

Capitol Tech Solutions has helped us build the WordPress site and create our vision from the ground up. They’re a real partner from the creative side. The team brings a lot of ideas to the table.

Initially, we had several meetings before the process. We’ve test-driven various platforms through social media sites and Google and done a great deal of API work. We’re using Booker and MINDBODY to customize the interaction.

Additionally, we just finished filming a three-and-a-half-minute commercial, which will go live in about four weeks. From there, we’ll get 30-second and 60-second condensed spots.

We have one point of contact for social media marketing, and we primarily work with another person from a content and site management perspective. Kevin (Digital Marketing Specialist) is responsible for our marketing and Marik (Customer Success Specialist) is the project manager. He’s an exceptional asset, and we feel like he’s an actual member of our team.

We began our partnership with them in 2018, and we’re continually working on modifying and enhancing our engagement.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We started the business during COVID-19 and had to shut down and reopen three times. We’re finally fortifying the building blocks of growth under our feet. It’s been more challenging than we’d ever imagined, but we hit the break-even point about three months ago.

Overall, site activity has soared, and we have a significant number of retentions. We’re very pleased with the results so far and are starting to see the business grow exponentially.

How did Capitol Tech Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been extremely conscientious about doing exactly what they were contracted to do. I can’t think of one important benchmark that hasn’t been met. They’re just great at projecting, which is rare in the amorphous world of tech.

It’s just like building a home — you realize halfway through that you want another 50 things, so the cost goes up. However, Capitol Tech Solutions keeps the horizon clear in front of us. We’ve been able to navigate all the changes without surprises, and the deliverables are precisely what we anticipated. It’s probably the best outcome we could’ve forecasted.

We communicate through email, Zoom, Google Meet, and text. It’s a very personalized experience. Marik does a phenomenal job. He continually advocates for timelines and is in constant communication. Overall, they’ve been collaborative partners during the whole process.

Their execution and timeliness are far above average. Capitol Tech Solutions are exceptional at laying out the goals, establishing the goal line, and moving methodically to get there.

No. In hindsight, we set up to create something that didn’t exist before, so we didn’t have a clear understanding of how we’d get there. We’ve had many conversations with their team, and they’ve done a fantastic job at staying in course.

You’re in good hands when you work with the entire team. Everyone has a clear understanding of how to create a roadmap, set projections, and forecast benchmarks. We’ve been pleased with the entire process and team.

Overall, we’re happy with their work — they’ve proven to be a highly beneficial partner to us.

Capitol Tech is excellent at communicating, and they’re always available. To interface, we use emails and phone calls. Each month, we have check-ins through Microsoft Teams, where they give us detailed updates through a PowerPoint presentation. As a result, we’re always aware of the performance of our ads and how many calls, clicks, and form submissions we’ve received.

For what projects/services did your company hire Capitol Tech Solutions?

Capitol Tech Solutions begin by assisting with the rebuild of the website for our clubs largest fundraiser the Sac Century Challenge. They executed this in a professional, timely manner and the website was a hit! Soon after they took on our social media and moved from their to the full Rotary website.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Initially their pricing and services met our needs. They donated a few services to start and so we were able to see the level of service they would provide.

Describe the project in detail and walk through their service package.

They took our previous Sac Century website through Wordpress and completely rebuilt it from scratch. They provided a technician who created an outline that was easy to understand. Then provide regular suggestions on updates. On a weekly basis they provide a social media schedule for approval.

We have worked with 3 team members. The CEO, Bobby Reed; from the Digital Marketing team Marik Knapp; and, Melissa Adams.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Since hiring Cap Tech Solutions our websites and social media platforms have become more popular. We have noticed an increase in interest by people without any ties to current members. Its been great!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They are great with communication. Always responsive in a timely manner. The best part is they keep us on schedule with projects. Its fantastic!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What is most impressive is their ability to communicate very high level technical information in layman's terms. Also, what you get for the service they provide cannot be compared!

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the executive director of an arts education nonprofit. Starting in 2019, our mission is to restore arts education in Sacramento County K-12 public schools.

The Capitol Tech Solutions team manages our website and our Facebook and Instagram accounts including daily postings and monthly messaging plans.

What were your goals for this project?

The goal is to build our presence in the community in order to engage more individuals and companies interested in supporting arts education and school children.

We were referred through Rotary Club of Sacramento and from KVIE, also a client of Capitol Tech Solutions.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

Since we began with Capitol Tech Solutions, they have coordinated updates on the website, set up and manage our Facebook and Instagram accounts, provide monthly analytics reports.

They have also provided graphic design work for our brochure and annual report and managed the social media and donation portal for a virtual event.

What was the team composition?

I work closely with two staff members on a regular basis.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Capitol Tech Solutions has made a tremendous impact on building our brand. This has directly resulted in increased individual donations and, through their graphic design work, have enhanced our credibility and professional presentation to community leaders.

The work on the virtual event, which came together in 10 days, resulted in nearly $20,000 in donations.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The team is just great! As a one-person shop, I can't imagine not working with such a great team. They are responsive and flexible.

They have quickly learned and embraced our mission in new and creative ways to reach our audience.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The team goes above and beyond in helping our organization flourish. I enjoy working with them and have recommended to many colleagues.
