Since launching the new website, we’ve seen a remarkable improvement in several key areas:

Bounce rates dropped significantly due to better navigation and faster page loads.

Conversion rates increased, especially on mobile, where previously we had struggled to provide a smooth experience.

Customer feedback improved, with users commenting on how easy it is to find and configure products.

Our internal team’s productivity also increased due to the new admin dashboard, reducing manual tasks related to quoting, order tracking, and inventory checks.

But beyond the metrics, the most telling success is the number of repeat customers and referrals we're now getting—our website now builds trust in a way that it simply didn’t before.

Every deliverable was either on time or slightly ahead of schedule.

One particular instance stood out: we had an urgent need to launch a seasonal promotion that wasn’t in the original scope. Camelweb pivoted quickly, worked overtime for a few days, and got the custom landing page up and running just in time. That kind of responsiveness isn’t something you come across often.

What impressed us most about Camelweb was their ability to bridge business strategy with technical execution. Most agencies can either design or code, but Camelweb could do both, with a deep understanding of e-commerce psychology, user behavior, and backend scalability.

Their team didn’t just take orders—they challenged our assumptions, suggested smarter workflows, and anticipated future needs we hadn’t even considered. The quote builder tool, for example, came from one of their strategy sessions with us. It’s now a major differentiator for our brand.

Their design team also deserves a shoutout. They managed to strike the perfect balance between clean aesthetics and functionality—especially impressive given the complexity of our product catalog.

Are there any areas for improvement or something CamelWeb could have done differently?

There’s very little we would change about our experience with Camelweb. If anything, the only area for potential growth would be expanding their documentation efforts during handoff. While they walked us through everything thoroughly, having more written SOPs and user manuals for our team would have helped us onboard new staff faster. That said, whenever we had a question, they were always quick to respond and jump on a call if needed.

Camelweb redesigned our application’s UI/UX. We started with one module, then gave them two other major modules. Then, we added the front-facing test player part of the software. They went from wireframes to mockups and worked through them using InVision. After they finished the design, we requested a quote to build the software. We shared our code with them, and they had to understand our server-side API. They also got involved in things like database design. 

The team is now coding the product using .NET Core and AngularJS. They’re developing a staging environment our team will implement on our software. Additionally, Camelweb uses Backbone.js on some modules. They modulize 7the coding, and they have teammates working on massaging the code into a single repository. They’ve completed one of the modules, and they’re almost done with the programming on the second one. 

We do code reviews internally because the Camelweb team will turn over the product for our developers to make last-minute adjustments and implement them. After the product is finished, we’ll engage Camelweb to add more features and functionalities down the road, working in the vein of ground-up design, UX guidance, and coding.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Camelweb has done an exceptional job, exceeding expectations. This project is a huge step out of our comfort zone, and we’ve been very conservative with the budget, keeping almost everything in-house. For this reason, we first tried them out piecemeal, and we’ve engaged them with the full boat because we’re so pleased with their work.

They’ve performed phenomenally well in terms of project management. Initially, they quoted a static project and estimated a timeline. However, as we’ve continued to develop the software, everything has been a moving target. We’ve added functions to the requirements, and Camelweb has graciously accepted every change. 

These additional functions require extra time and money, which we understand. We couldn’t have known where we would end up by the time we were coaching a specific part, and Camelweb has rolled with the punches, working with us to figure it out and execute the work. Their timelines have been right on as we’ve moved the goal post adding extra work; they estimate and end up being right on time.

We share Slack with them and have projects on GitHub. Depending on the question or concern, we also communicate via email and Microsoft Teams chat. Additionally, we have a weekly team meeting and a management meeting every two weeks to ensure everything is going smoothly.

I’m impressed with CamelWeb’s flexibility. This is new for us, and we haven’t been shy about continuing to develop our software after we’ve already given them specs. While it may not be the best situation for them, it’s the best situation for us. Camelweb happily and graciously accepts the challenges of us growing our software while they’re recoding — that’s been phenomenal. 

Additionally, their design work is astounding, and their communication is fantastic. I know many of the people we work with, even though we’re a world apart, and I enjoy working with them. The team is readily available; they’re not hindered by distance and different time zones. We never have to wait a day to hear back from them.

We set up CamwlWeb to achieve and due dates for progress towards completion. Our team and their then set up feedback loops during this time to get a majority of the work done and then focus on fine tuning the small stuff.

They had us initially give them as much information, so we created an XD file of the deliverables in our look and feel, and they then begin implementing it. From there, we had sent several rounds of revisions through Dropbox paper and Google Doc which they completed on time.

We decided to migrate our site from a cannabis-specific ecom platform to Magento 2, in order to take advantage of the many functions and customizations that Magento offers. Because of the regulations surrounding cannabis, this is an extremely specific, customized project. We originally hired a different set of developers, who weren’t up to the complex demands of our project.

Because Camelweb came onto our project after the migration had already taken place, the first step was to identify and document all the issues we were experiencing. The integrations that our previous developers had put in place needed significant review and revision, including developing an alternative to the Mageplaza module that had been installed to edit orders.

Camelweb was able to replace this with a Mageworx module, which has drastically improved our customer service and decreased the amount of time spent on investigating issues. Because our orders are placed online and then delivered to customers, Camelweb had to integrate the Mageworx module with OnFleet and Stronghold. They also integrated Berbix ID verification and Klaviyo. Staylime’s design team has revised our product pages to our specifications, both for desktop and mobile, and will soon do the same for our brand pages.

Our team is now able to use our website in the way that we intended to when we made the switch to Magento. There’s still more work to be done, but I have every confidence that Camelweb will handle it effectively. Their Magento expertise has strengthened our business.
