I’m the CEO of an IT services company.

What challenges were you trying to address with  Browserbite OOD?

I had many tasks to do in the business area I was in charge of, so I decided to outsource the development of a web product we needed to build.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Browserbite OOD developed a web application for us. First, I had a discussion with their CEO about the idea. I provided them with a document outlining the mandatory features of the product and a series of ideas behind the concept. We went into more detail, and after that, we established an arrangement in terms of budget and schedule. 

From there, Browserbite OOD developed the product, including the backend, for which they used Node.js. The app integrates with a special mobile device in the logistics sector that works through a scanner. 

Browserbite OOD integrated the app with the backend content so that it could display the scanner's results. For example, the app tells the user if they picked the right or wrong pallet and calculates how fast the production line is running, among other things. 

What was the team composition?

We worked with the CEO, a designer, a frontend developer, and a backend developer from Browserbite OOD. 

How did you come to work with Browserbite OOD?

We found them through a referral. I knew someone who had worked with Browserbite OOD, so I googled them and saw their landing page and portfolio.

How much have you invested in them?

We spent about €17,000 (approximately $19,000 USD) with Browserbite OOD. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from December 2020–March 2021.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Overall, the app has received positive feedback. After Browserbite OOD implemented the platform, our users found the processes very practical. Previously, we had to provide training for these processes, and the app made everything more intuitive. Our users are happy to have that tool, and we now have better productivity and quality. 

How did Browserbite OOD perform from a project management standpoint?

They delivered everything on time and on point. We communicated using Google Meet, constant phone calls, and Slack messages. Additionally, we used Google tools to share documents.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I appreciated having direct contact with Browserbite OOD throughout the project; it was easy to discuss things with them, so I never felt alone. Additionally, the quality of their work was great. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

We had one technical issue; they started with a smaller application server with a lower performance to test the app. When our user base grew, this server wasn’t enough, so we had to change the server platform in the middle of the project. I wish Browserbite OOD had started with the hosting platform ready for the integration phase.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have a clear idea about your goals and expectations for the project. You should be able to describe your ideas and outline the mandatory features you need. Additionally, be open-minded and willing to hear Browserbite OOD’s ideas.

I’m a co-founder of New Beginnings Consultation, a negotiation and commercial training organization. We’re based in the UK, and now also have business in Europe and the Americas.

We wanted to develop a mobile app.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Browserbite OOD has created a multiplatform application and designed the app’s logo. During the discovery phase, our teams met with each other to discuss what we needed. Browserbite OOD then recommended improvements to our idea and set expectations based on their research. We had additional meetings before starting the official partnership to ensure that the project was a good fit for both parties.

The app collects information on why employees leave their companies. This helps our customers with employee retention and also helps users find positions that are right for them. The data collected is confidential; this allows users to share negative experiences with managers or coworkers. It only includes companies with over 1,000 employees because anonymity could be compromised for smaller companies — if only one person leaves out of 200, it’s obvious who wrote the negative feedback.

They’ve offered to develop a website for us as well, but we already have one. We definitely would have gone with them for continuity if we didn’t.

We’ve worked with six teammates throughout the various project stages.

We’ve spent around £20,000 (approximately $24,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Browserbite OOD in August 2021. The partnership is ongoing; it’s a large project. 

How did you come to work with Browserbite OOD?

Browserbite OOD was recommended to us. We interviewed multiple companies, and they were an ideal fit because they were honest, quick, friendly, and aware of how important it was to get the technology right the first time.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’ve already provided the prototype, which we’re able to show our customers. We’re just doing beta testing with them and fine-tuning the app on our end.

How did the company perform from a project management standpoint?

They are amazing. Since they started building our app, we’ve had regular meetings. They’ve been clear and precise about what they need from us — it’s not just about them. They’ve given us a timeline and we’re usually the ones not providing necessary information on time. They deliver everything on time and on budget. We always know where they are, what they’re doing, and when they’re doing it. We’ve used Google Meet and Zoom to arrange meetings. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're wonderfully honest and upfront and provide incredible customer service as well. They go above and beyond; when one of our customers went bankrupt, Browserbite OOD helped us get through that. If anyone needs help with anything technology-based, I always put them in touch with Browserbite OOD. They’re very knowledgeable.

Since we have not always had a clear vision, Browserbite OOD has consulted on the direction of the project in addition to developing the app. When we’ve had uncertainty, they’ve been great advisors to us.

No, they're great.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Be sure that you’re clear at the beginning of the project about what you want. Browserbite OOD will give you amazing service if you have a good understanding of what you want. We weren’t quite as clear as we could’ve been so they ended up consulting as well as providing technical advice.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Within 3 months we executed a live proof of our concepts and reached valuable insights into our business model. We started into the next project phase fast and will further develop our product.

The communication and bilateral understanding were superb. We share the same understanding of getting a mvp fast into a working product.

Lean & fast approach in combination with effective and effort-reduced communication did the trick.

Higher frequency of report and feedback meetings could be good to rise the cooperation onto an even higher level.
