I’m the founder of a unique pillow company called Sleep Crown.

What challenge were you trying to address with Bare Bones Marketing LLC Texas?

I hired Bare Bones Marketing to help prepare my online presence before I launched my company. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

In the beginning, Bare Bones Marketing did SEO tasks for me. Before I launched the website, they searched and created a list of 30 keywords that we targeted. Our main goal was for my website to pop up as the top search result when people Googled “Sleep Crown.” 

From there, they’ve done many things for me, including the creation and maintenance of my e-commerce website. Katharina (Owner) is an expert in using Ecwid, which does the e-commerce functions of my website. For its design, we use Wix. If I’m doing a special promotion or collaborating with another person, her team creates landing pages. Overall, she and her resources handle everything that’s related to my platform. 

Bare Bones Marketing also handles my printing needs from business cards and product inserts to banners for conferences. On top of that, we work together on digital marketing as they create newsletters and email blasts for me. They’ve also advised me around using social media platforms, such as starting an Instagram account.

What is the team composition?

I only work with Katharina, and she works with assistants and SEO specialists. I don’t work directly with those people, but they help Katharina as a team. 

How did you come to work with Bare Bones Marketing LLC Texas?

I found Katharina in Austin, Texas, where we both lived before they moved to Dana Point, California. We also had friends in common, so she came highly recommended to me. I liked the fact that she could design a website from the ground up. From there, we talked about the look and feel that I wanted for my own site, and then we started the partnership. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $25,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in March 2017, and the partnership is ongoing. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Most of my success metrics are subjective because Bare Bones Marketing’s work is creative design and branding — it either feels right or it doesn’t. If I don’t like their output, we step back and make changes. Meanwhile, I check whether the deliverables show up correctly and on time. I have no metrics other than that.

So far, Bare Bones Marketing has met all of my criteria, and I’m happy with everything they’ve done. In terms of the website, I love what Katharina has created; it feels so special and accurate for me. 

Likewise, our SEO campaigns have been successful. I’ve spent a little bit of money and effort, but Katharina’s team has delivered quickly. The website is at the top of search results, and it’s been sitting there this entire time. It’s so self-sustaining that we don’t even have to do much SEO work anymore. As my company grows and people continue to search for and click on the website, our platform builds on itself. 

How did Bare Bones Marketing LLC Texas perform from a project management standpoint?

Bare Bones Marketing has excellent communication skills, and they always meet deadlines. We’re constantly in touch with them; not a week goes by without communication. We text, email, and talk on the phone with each other consistently every week — Katharina is always on time and available for me. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Katharina is the perfect blend of creativity, technical expertise, and professionalism, and it’s great to have all of these in one person. Creative people aren’t always detail-oriented, but Katharina has all of those things, making it pleasant to work with her. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any.

Contact Katharina herself because she’s great to talk to, and she can make your vision come true. She loves designing websites, and she’s extremely good at it. Simply communicate your vision and needs, and she’ll take care of them.
