Depending on the membership, our customers can upload a specific amount of photos to their portfolios and respond to different casting calls and jobs.

They always deliver on time. Regarding communication, we use Skype and Google Meet. We also use Lucid Charts, where we create the flow diagrams, and Trello for agile project management.

We like that they aren't motivated by money, are very hardworking, and always complete their jobs on time. Also, they go above and beyond the scope to ensure that we're satisfied with their work.

We initially used Aqualeaf on a small website development project. From there, our engagement started snowballing. So far, we’ve done 6–7 projects together. We engage them on a project-by-project basis, but we also use them if a certain project requires maintenance on a yearly basis.

To provide an example, one of the projects we’ve done is a digital archive system. The product stores the data and content of one of our clients. Aqualeaf has helped design this system. In terms of features, the system allows the end client to log in and upload documents to be stored within it. End users can access the archive based on their clearance level. The files can be confidential or public.

We’ve also done two mobile development projects. One project has been for the tourism sector; it’s an app that helps people set up restaurants and bars. It also helps them show information about shops and the events that are being held in certain provinces. Restaurant owners can update the app for the current events that they’re holding. The second mobile app is for an e-commerce site. It hasn’t gone live yet; we’re still working on it.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

For success metrics, our end clients normally set criteria, which we then relay to Aqualeaf. Normally, the feedback we get from them about the team’s work is positive. For the digital archive project, our end client has been happy with the system. Our timeline for that project is 90 days, but the Aqualeaf team has finished it in 70 days.

How did Aqualeaf IT Solutions Pvt Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve had no problems in terms of communication. Although our teams are in slightly different timezones, we manage to speak to each other at least once a week. When we’re not doing any project, we still communicate once a week; when we do have a problem, we talk almost every day. We use WhatsApp and Skype to talk. 

In terms of timeliness, all of Aqualeaf’s deliverables are on time. We usually have a timeline in mind, and we present that timeline to them. Their resources then tell us whether they can make it or not. So far, they’ve agreed to the timelines we’ve given and managed to hit every deadline; we’ve never had any delays. 

We don’t use any special project management tools on our side. Rather, we use Excel Spreadsheets to present the clients’ timelines. We then send the documents to Aqualeaf. Nonetheless, in some of our projects, they’ve invited me to use Trello, where I can see what they’re currently working on, what has been done, and what will be their next steps. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I haven’t met their entire team yet, but I believe they have a substantial number of members. Each of them has a strong quality; they always have members who can deliver based on the requirements we provide. On top of that, they always meet timelines. In fact, that’s one of the biggest reasons we keep coming back to Aqualeaf; if we need something done in two months, I know that they can do it within that time.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We communicate with our main point of contact, but we sometimes want to talk directly with the person who’s in charge of the project. It would be better if I can communicate with their technical specialists instead of only the account manager.

Communicate well with Aqualeaf. Define the scope clearly early on, and discuss with them how you can achieve your targets. If you communicate clearly with them and define a clear scope, the engagement will be great.

They’re very flexible and are quick to give results, keep up with updates, and accomplish just about every task I’ve thrown their way. There were many things we were sure how we would get it all to work together but they surprised us and got it all to work seamlessly.

We had a ton of offers on the table but after talking with Aqualeaf they were the most reasonable for what we asked for, and we’re able to complete the project in a reasonable time frame as well while updating constantly on the progress.

We had a lot of designs in mind, and I worked with the developer to get everything to look and work just the way I wanted it too. Slight language barrier given the different countries but even so with some explaining we were able to get things covered.

They produced designed color flow coding for the page flow, their developers scripted custom things for us as well as customized several plugins we found elsewhere to get them to worn the way we needed them too.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Very pleased over all with the design and the way things work, and still have more work yet to be done with these guys in the future!

Communication is mostly through Skype but phone service is optional, they respond quickly and work on issues promptly as well.

They were competitive in the market and can deliver quality when you work with them and give them enough detail for what it is you’re after.

Other then needing to clarify more on the start time work time etc because of the time difference in different countries I can’t think of anything.

I worked with them on two projects. Both the projects were business directories where business owners registered and created their profile and buyers/customer can find the business names as per the category they are looking for. The process was really very good.

Yes, the portal is https://pickatradie.com.au/ We are still developing the portal to add more functionality to it.

Their team was very active. I was able to get support from them during weekends as well in case of any emergencies and the delivery was completed on time. The main thing which I liked the most is they provided free technical support even after our contract was over. Not many organizations offer this.

Dedication to work and the director of the company deal with me directly and listen to my questions and implemented them in the work.

We haven’t always met deadlines, but we’re not too far away from them. This is partly because I’ve suggested that they alter the functionality of the site. We’ve changed it a couple of times to meet my standards.

Because we’re working in a really unique way, and not like other companies that get rates from other suppliers, we decided to build our own system. This system will feed all of our rates from all of our suppliers, so we can basically build a custom reservation system with the help of Aqualeaf.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We basically built a portal that has the frontend interface for the agents, and back-office support for the management. We connected the two APIs from suppliers like TripAdvisor and currency exchanges.

Afterwhich, we built the mechanism that takes all of our contracts and put them in the system so that agents can see it the same way. You can see everything down to the smallest detail like flight dates, and hotel types and features.

The project was only for two months. However, we really liked the results they delivered so the company decided to invest in them and the partnership has been ongoing ever since.

I deal with the two owners on the commercial side, and I also have a developer that’s working for me full-time. Sometimes when we do special projects like building landing pages, we use their designers to help us with our WordPress site. I can say that we deal with 3–4 people from that company.

Basically, whenever there’s a new development, we check with our QA team to look for bugs and issues. If we find something, they’ll fix it right away. 

How did Aqualeaf IT Solutions Pvt Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?

In terms of communications, they’re really good and they speak fluent English. They are always available to answer any questions, even in crazy hours and on the weekends. If I need something urgent, they’ll always be available on the phone and Skype.

And because it’s a full-time engagement, we don’t really have any time frames for deliveries. I’ll send them what they need to do and they’ll give it back to me after 2–3 days. We’ve never had the issue of waiting too long for something.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I worked with many IT companies and this system is the first experienced I’ve had with almost no bugs. It’s unbelievable and I’m shocked about it because I can’t get rid of the bugs from the previous companies I’ve worked with. However, with Aqualeaf, it’s almost nothing.

I’m really happy with them and I don’t have anything to say that they should improve on. They’re honestly one of the best companies I’ve worked with.

I would say to be upfront with your budget, how much you’re willing to spend, and your time frame. No matter how long the project is, they will always commit to the agreed-upon price. If you have ongoing projects, like mine, you can always negotiate with them on a monthly basis.
