AOD.space created an online SAAS product for us. The product is created to help small shops have their own website without big efforts . They just have to choose the template they like, choose the subscription plan and fill in the content. Currently the product is not on live , but very soon will be possible to see it on live already.

After the kick-off meeting, the project was partitioned into deliverables. AOD team used scrum methodology to keep track on progress. Design was done as a first step, continued by development phase in parallel to testing. Now AOD.space team provides support on adding features.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

There is still no outcome as the project didn't go online yet. They provided very attractive and creative design , which was very important for us. Front-end and back-end was implemented using modern technologies, i.e. node.js and react.js

As mentioned before the tracking was done deploying scrum methodology. The communication was done with Slack/Google Meet. JIRA was used for task management. AOD.space team provided adequate experience providing deliverables in timely manner. They were also flexible on working hours.

The process was organized and fluid. The communication with the PM and the team lead on all the details and nuances was very productive.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They could increase their human capacity to implement larger projects.

We needed a system to help us with our internal tasks; we needed to manage our food archive, accounting, and billing, among other activities.

They built a CRM that works on web and mobile platforms to manage our intern processes. The tool is also backed on the cloud so that I can use it anywhere.

I did some research online and took some recommendations from my partners. We chose them because they were the ones that best fitted our needs.

We spent around $14,000 with them.

We work with them from July 2018–March 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our work became more accessible and fluent thanks to this system — that’s something I needed for my company. We have low statistics of losses, and we’re now able to keep track of the money that comes in and out and the food — I now have what I wanted, and I’m happy with the results.

How did AOD.space  perform from a project management standpoint?

They were very responsive and reacted to all of our requests timely. Also, we set a deadline at the beginning of the project, and they kept it. We communicated via email, phone calls, WhatsApp — it was easy to communicate with them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I haven’t worked with that many technology companies, but I can say that we got what we wanted with them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Maybe the only thing that moved a bit slower than the rest was the design. However, I’m strict with that, so I can’t say that AOD.space is weak on the design part; it was maybe a personal thing. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

The only advice I’d give for all development projects is to be clear on your requirements, needs, and what you might need in the future. Once you know that, you can understand what’s your best option.

I’m the assistant COO of one of the biggest postal companies within Armenia — we’ve been operating for over 100 years. We have offices worldwide, including in the US and Argentina.

What challenge were you trying to address with AOD.space?

We needed to have a better internal tracking system for all the parcels that were being shipped to Armenia.

As we just started rebranding our company and improving our facilities and projects, we decided this solution should be implemented to make the process easier. We wanted this tool to help us make a faster delivery to our clients, which was very important.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We provided AOD.space with a technical document that included all the requirements we had for the app. We also had to cover some special needs in the framework of it. After that, AOD.space developed the internal app for our international and private companies’ shipment departments.

What is the team composition?

Personally, I worked with up to 10 people depending on the period. The team included a project manager, a team lead, back- and frontend developers, and designers. I connected the most with the project manager, who organized all the work and team members.

How did you come to work with AOD.space?

We decided to make a tender to find a good company to partner with. This tender included a technical document of what we needed. Several companies applied to it, including AOD.space, and gave us their offers.

AOD.space project offered better solutions and pricing, and after a meeting with several professionals and experts, we decided to work with them. The decision was made by our marketing department.

We spent around $250,000 — we spent a lot of time and money on this project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from January 2019–December 2020.

As we’re launching a new project in the US, we’re planning to work with AOD.space again. We’re currently working on a new technical document to continue our partnership. We’re also considering giving them a new offer since our new project is better and cheaper.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

These tools helped us develop an internal system. From a business standpoint, this app was the best solution — it made the process 20% faster.

After this tool, our business changed a lot. Therefore, it helped us understand the team and professionals that we needed. Of course, it was a cooperation between our company and AOD.space — we knew the solutions that we needed, and they were able to implement them.

How did AOD.space perform from a project management standpoint?

The project management was great. I would’ve loved to headhunt the project manager herself. 

We communicated through emails, phone calls, and team meetings. As we live in a small country, it’s easier to get together for a team meeting, instead of just doing calls.

One very important thing for us was that they accomplished everything on time. When you ship something, people don’t want to wait for it, they just want to receive it — the sooner the better. In addition to that, AOD.space really understood the point of how we wanted to work and how fast we wanted the solutions. They were very responsible, which I really liked.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What we appreciated the most was AOD.space’s ability to meet all the deadlines — they were very successful in that.

Sometimes, we shortened the deadlines and asked for some changes to our tools. However, they were able to manage everything. The team, including the back- and frontend developers and QA person, worked 24/7 to accomplish all of that. AOD.space’s team was very good and worked pretty well, which I really appreciated.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything specific that they could improve.

Any advice for potential customers?

I recommend other companies that are interested in developing anywhere around the world take a look at AOD.space’s work.

You might want to go with a company that has a bigger reputation or a huge amount of money because you think that they may do a better job. However, don’t be scared to work with AOD.space’s team and give them a try. You will love the way that they work because responsibility and development are their priorities.

we have detailed discussion with the team, divided the project into milestones and sprints, have some plannings and discussion calls where the PM of the project shows me what had been done and what is in progress. So all the process of working was very simple and productive in my opinion.

As I am a non-technical person, for me was very important to get detailed information about all the processes in simple human language ) and while working with this company, I never felt, that I don't understand something technical.

Also, specialists provided very good solutions, made some really cool suggestions, which we also implemented in our app. I am very happy with the work and provided results.

They are working with Scrum methodology, they use Jira for task management (I also had access to there), sometimes they use Trello as well. About the other technical staff, I don't have information.

They are doing really good suggestions to make them productive and better than it is expected to be. They always try to find the best solutions.

I guess they could increase the team of designers and go dipper into the design as well, as they are more specialized in the development.

What challenge were you trying to address with AOD.space?

For my production company, we decided to develop a platform that offered web store templates for companies to sell online. Many people have stores but cannot afford to have their own website, so we wanted to create a trendy option with wonderful designs accessible via a monthly payment.

What was the scope of their involvement?

It was a really wonderful and creative process. The designers are great, and they understood what we needed and tried to get straight to the point. We started on the English version of the product and are now working on the Armenian version. The development is good so far, and we haven’t found any problems. It is built on React and Node.js on the backend.

What is the team composition?

There were around four people. I worked with different people on things like design, technical documentation, and content.

How did you come to work with AOD.space?

I’m planning to launch my business in regions like Georgia and parts of Russia, so I decided to work with a company that has international skills and experience. There aren’t a lot of those options around me, so I asked a few of my friends in this business and they advised me to contact AOD.space. I received offers from two other companies but AOD.space had the best one. We met, and they were inspired by my idea.

It will be around $18,000 to $20,000 in the end. It is the best price I saw.

We started working with them in July 2020 on the English version of the website, and the work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

There are now three versions of the platform, and we plan to work with around 200 online stores. We’ve already started reaching out to them and plan to launch the platform in the middle of summer. The landing page is up for our initial clients, though. We have 100 for the English site already, and I’m expecting more to come in for the Armenian option.

We still have a lot of work to do but the work to date has been on schedule and on time, so I like it. All the requirements have been fulfilled perfectly, and the design is really wonderful.

How did AOD.space perform from a project management standpoint?

They are always available, and we can always contact them. When we signed the contract, we had a strict point that investors are counting on the deadlines to be met and AOD.space has pulled through. They work very hard.

What did you find most impressive about them?

My colleagues and assistants work with them closely while I sign-off on the final result, and I have to say that their teamwork has been impressive from the start. It didn’t matter whether it was the developers or the designers, the creative group was together and deep in discussion. AOD.space understood the importance of the project and the details that were needed, which I appreciate. They are professional and the price is quite good as well. I love their company.

Give them a try and rely on their teamwork. I believe that they can succeed because I have seen it. They are quite a good company to work with.

The goal of my app is to help users easily find the car they’re looking to purchase. I hired AOD.space to help design and develop this product.

What was the scope of their involvement?

AOD.space created the design from scratch. Based on how their team created the app, users can enter the car model, type, year, and other details, and the app will collect all of the cars that match the description from the database. Users can then contact the seller directly to make any purchases.

Two people have worked on the project.

I followed a recommendation from one of my friends.

I have spent $6,750 so far. When the project is complete, the cost will be around $10,000.

The project began in May 2019, and the work is still ongoing.

I’m very satisfied so far; I’m amazed by the level of service they provide. The app will be live this month. 

How did AOD.space perform from a project management standpoint?

They always respond to me within an hour. We mostly correspond through Facetime, email, and text messages. Whenever I have an idea, they get back to me quickly to see if it’s a good fit or not. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Unlike other vendors that try to make their work easier and make money, AOD.space has its own unique approach. They come up with their own ideas and go the extra mile for our project. They treat me like an individual, not like just another client. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, everything is good and I’m very satisfied with them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’d recommend doing video calls and not only using emails or text messages. Get everyone involved in the task on the phone call so the discussion will be useful. This way, the information will go directly back and forth and avoid miscommunication.

They’re experts in PHP and JavaScript. I used their services for all the apps that I needed. AOD.space works with our e-commerce development projects. We provided all the wireframes; they only provide us development services.

They developed the dashboard, functionalities, a Chrome extension, and everything else related to our Shopify API.

Initially, tested them with simple bug fixes to evaluate their experience level. Once they succeeded with this, I engaged them on the e-commerce website.

Their JavaScript and PHP expertise was impressive. If I was stuck with something, they knew how to do the right research to find the problem. They were loyal to the work.

Each time I had to pay them, I had to use MoneyGram, which was inconvenient. We'd rather use PayPal because it’s much more convenient for us.

What challenge were you trying to address with AOD.space?

We needed a company to help with game development.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They helped develop a facilitator tool for our financial literacy simulation game. It’s a board game that has a facilitator. During the game, there are lots of options which players can take. Based on their decisions in the game, they get scores. Tracking those scores takes the facilitator an enormous amount of time.

To reduce this time, we decided to create a digital tool to help the facilitator to track everything that is happening on the board. The only thing the facilitator has to do is enter the decisions of the players into this tool, and the game calculates the outcome.

AOD.space developed the tool, which has reduced facilitation time. The tool is a computer-based app. It can also be used on tablets. After they delivered the MVP, we decided to add new features and change some functionalities. There were some minor bugs that they helped fix.

We had a project manager, a business analyst, a QA, and a developer.

We researched company backgrounds and asked for prices from three different firms. We made a comparison between the three, and AOD.space was the best. They offered to do everything very quickly, including the delivery of an MVP in three months. They offered the best quality over price.

We created a demo for Savings Day. The Central Bank of Armenia was amazed by the game and the impact it had on their population. They have taken it over and introduced it to their high school curriculum.

They were proactive and suggested what would be best for us. We were fine with them not providing documentation during the development of the MVP, but once they handed everything over to us, they provided all the documents. We’re very happy with their result.

They were as supportive as an in-house partner. We told them it was really important for us to have the product in October. They had been using some additional resources, but our budget was limited and we couldn’t afford that. They accepted and didn’t negotiate on that.

I'm the CTO of a software engineering company. We are based in Armenia and have some inverters in the US.

We are cooperating in frames of a SAAS product. The product itself is a shop for shop. Any user , that have a shop , can registrate to the platform , choose a template, customize it: upload their logo , choose the colors , add picures and fill in the information . Once user finished the customization process he/she can use the template as a separate website with it's own domain.

We found them on a platform and considered other offers from other countries too. After few interviews they clearly were better match for us.

They are creating a website and mobile apps for us using react, react native etc. We have a back-end team as well who are cooperating with them. Our back-end is running on AWS and some part of it is server-less.

There are 3 developers and plus a project and a tech-lead that is not full time allocated to us. Higher management is quite available as well.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We are working on our development environment which is not accessible from the internet. We have 5 internal releases so far and there hasn't been any delays or surprises yet.

They put all efforts to meet the deadlines even when we change the scope of the job. We use JIRA, gitlab and zoom for communication. We meet every other day.

This company is very reliable and the communication with them has been outstanding. We have issues before them with others who were not achievable most of the time.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They could add more automation around QA testing.
