Our project is a custom HTML mobile first online directory with several features that require significant technical expertise and creative problem solving. All aspects from client management on the business end to communication and project execution with Victor, team lead, was a model of efficiency.

I had successfully completed a 6 month project led by Marta when she was working with Empeek in 2019. When she announced she was launching a boutique agency with highly skilled partners on LinkedIn, I filed it in my rolodex for the next project.

virtualstorefront.co: The project is a Local Search Engine with significant development and development challenges. The app pins the user to a custom location. The app internally measures the distance after a single query to Google Maps API between the user pin and every business profile in the app data base. It's fast, effective and easy to use.

The Search Engine uses a keyword as filter search that allows for more refined AND searches. Keyword clouds, keyword links and keyword filters are used throughout the product in various ways, all well executed.

Front end layout design was provided, but HTML implementation solutions and mobile first UI that actually works in a web-based app were the domain of the team. They performed this challenging job admirably and were very cooperative in how they handled my direction as a client.

What was the team composition?

Account Manager, Marta. Project Manager, Victor. A development team of minimum 2 developers on front and back working in a scrum, I assume.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

It works. It works very well. Customers love their Storefronts. I can access and use the backend (Symfony) very easily.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Victor was such a seamless interface, I never had to work directly with the actual developers - an impressive feat for Project Management on a fairly technical project.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Small and powerful. I also like the name AreasCode. It's both quaint and professional. But at the end of the day, it's the people who are impressive. English is outstanding across the board. Translation from discussion to technical execution is outstanding. Timeliness and attention is excellent.

Within reasonable expectations, there is nothing I would change. Improvement for a company working at this level is maintaining this level of service past an early client.
