They also created ad visuals we used on Instagram and other socials — with great photos, simple copy, and our branding. They explained how we could run the ads too.

I’m the product manager for Appflow, a subscription analytics platform that analyzes mobile apps for working with monetization systems of subscriptions.

What challenge were you trying to address with ALMAX Design Agency?

We’re developers, and we outsource our design work to ALMAX.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, we had a discovery phase where we discussed our challenges with ALMAX. They helped me create user stories and research some of our competitors’ examples, telling us where we could improve or do better. We first did a small test project with them before starting on the main one.

After that, we did several projects with ALMAX. For example, we created a UX flow for an app gallery. It had some tools that could be converted into HTML systems. We also used Timify, which could bring us more attention from web app owners. ALMAX created designs on Figma, but they converted them into Adobe XD files for our in-house layout designers. 

What is the team composition?

I worked directly with Max (CEO & Founder), Alex (Senior UI/UX Designer), a project manager, and another designer. 

How did you come to work with ALMAX Design Agency?

I’ve known Max for a long time even before I came to my company. I knew his team was great at designing prototypes, so we engaged them.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested between $10,000–$25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our projects lasted from June 2021–February 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our main product has yet to be released, but we’ve had internal users. We did close testing for it, and our marketing team said we’d get around 30%–35% user engagement and growth with the product. Unfortunately, there were some bugs, but they came mainly from our side — I needed to clarify my user stories more. ALMAX helped me redo some of the UX designs within our budget. 

How did ALMAX Design Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

ALMAX did everything on time. I had some challenges on our side, delaying some requirements. However, their project management was great. They had a simple communication style alongside a ticketing system. For project management, they used Basecamp. We communicated through Google Meet and Telegram.

They had great communication — the team quickly understood our goals and suggested some unique design features.

Are there any areas they could improve?

ALMAX didn’t have a structured portfolio that could be used to show specific projects they’d done. They had a portfolio, but it needed to be more organized.

Engage with ALMAX. They’re a team that allows you to be open-minded. Additionally, be direct about your budget, and they’ll do their best with what you have.
