I’m the owner of The Healthy Place. We have a website called findyourhealthyplace.com, where we sell supplements, vitamins, and nutraceuticals. Our purpose is to help people battle stress, anxiety, depression, and sleep issues to give them a better quality of life, more energy, mental clarity, and focus.

We offer a consultation type of service, but we also function as a retailer, so people can simply buy what they need. Our difference makers are our knowledge, our education, and the quality of our products.

What challenge were you trying to address with AlchemyLeads?

We have four brick-and-mortar nutrition stores in Madison, Wisconsin. When COVID-19 hit, our in-store traffic lowered, so we had to shift our focus to the online market. Having that loss of revenue put a lot of pressure on getting more traffic to our website, and we wanted to find a way to do that quickly.

We discovered that SEO was one of the most powerful efforts we could implement, so we hired AlchemyLeads to help us with that.

What was the scope of their involvement?

AlchemyLeads helps us with our website’s SEO, improving our keywords positioning and getting us backlinks. Their strategy is to take all of the keywords we have on our website, which are around 12,000, and prioritize them by the lowest-hanging fruit first. They want to take the keywords that already place us on the second page of Google search results and try to get us to the first page with them.

Initially, we had conversations with them about our business model, and Sean (CEO) had a lot of questions about our focus and other things like that. These questions helped him have enough clarity to ensure that he had a good plan.

AlchemyLeads offers various other services, but we already have those efforts covered either by our internal teams or by other agencies, so we only use them for this specific SEO strategy.

They contacted me. I had been searching for this niche service over the last year, trying to put together all of the pieces of building a website, so it became obvious that I needed help in this area. They happened to send me an email, and it turned out to be what I was looking for.

During our conversation, Sean demonstrated to be an honest, family-focused, and smart person. I could tell that he was an expert in the matter, and I thought that it was worth the try.

Our conversation started in July 2021, and our engagement is ongoing. This will continue to be an ongoing project as we keep growing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Initially, I didn’t know where to start, but AlchemyLeads helped me get a battle plan. The whole idea of getting the second-page keywords to the first page has been more powerful and beneficial than trying to work on all of our other thousands of keywords.

I’ve already seen positive movement from those low-hanging fruit keywords and an improvement in our website’s traffic overall. For example, one of our blog posts for a specific topic is on the second page of searches, and it is getting around 5,000 visits per month.

Getting that post to the first page is going to take double or triple the amount of visits, but it is still a high volume of traffic nonetheless. Additionally, our conversion rate is 5.24%, which is very strong. I decided to leave this review with a lot of confidence, and I’m excited to keep working with AlchemyLeads.

How did AlchemyLeads perform from a project management standpoint?

AlchemyLeads’ project management is really good. Their team is quick to respond whenever I have a question or concern, and they’re always willing to help with additional tasks related to writing. They’re very generous beyond their scope of work, and they’re very responsive, too.

In addition to that, AlchemyLeads is very good at explaining. I don’t pretend to understand the space very well, so I’ve had a lot of questions for them. They’ve always been very good at taking the time to explain everything, even if they have to explain two or three times. We communicate weekly via Zoom calls and use Basecamp to manage the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

AlchemyLeads accessibility is impressive. Other providers that I’ve worked with take a few days to get back to me, whereas AlchemyLeads has a very quick response time, usually within the same day. Additionally, they have a great ability to communicate and explain everything thoroughly, and they achieve great results.

Are there any areas they could improve?

During the scope of work, they promised to get 20–30 healthy backlinks per month. They’ve delivered on that, but I was more interested in knowing how many users would go to my site and what would be the conversion rate of those users.

AlchemyLeads is a great company to work with; they’re worth it. You can be sure that they will follow through on what they promise.

The scope of work is entirely based around increasing keyword rankings for industry specific terms. We're looking to increase organic traffic to our e-commerce website within 3-6 months. Deliverables include 25-30 links per month in addition to 4 blog posts and a host of content geared toward getting our brand on publishers sites.

He has really gone above and beyond to make sure we're getting every bit of value out of our time with Alchemy Leads and is giving multiple updates per day on every step of the process. Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

So far, we're just a few months in and we've seen a considerable jump in organic traffic, as well as keyword search rankings.

Communication is very simple and is primarily done either via email or on Basecamp. In addition, we typically speak with Sean at least once per week on a team call where he fills us in on any pressing updates we may need to get into a bit more detail about.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

This is clearly a transparency first agency with solid case studies. We've had some terrible experiences in the past working with agencies but we were drawn to Alchemy Leads given their proven experience that they were actually able to show as opposed to just talk about.

We were hoping our experience would end up positive and we have been pleasantly surprised. Keeping us updated every step of the way while delivering results is all we can ask for.

They’re pretty much doing everything. We came to the conclusion that all of our previous work needed to be cut. We started from scratch using WordPress and a variety of plugins and the backend is MySQL.

The frontend is a shopping platform. The backend is a lot of database stuff. They also are working on SEO, but right now they are focusing on developing our platform.

I’ve been very happy with the results so far. We’ve made more progress in the six months working with AlchemyLeads than I had with all my other vendors over several years. We don’t have a beta version yet, but I’m hopeful we will in the next month or so.

We have a partnership. We have a point person and they always share deadlines at the end of every phone call. I always know what they’re focusing on each week. They keep marching forward. Their responsiveness is great. I can always email them and they address it by the end of the day.

They’re the first team who understands what I’m trying to do. Other programmers just fix the bugs and do what I ask, but they know what we want to accomplish. I think part of that is because of the marketing background our contact has.

On top of that, they showed me how easy it is to use WordPress and all the plugin options.

Basic communication can go a long way. They knew what my frustrations were versus what I wanted to avoid.

Our web conversions have increased by around 300% and organic traffic is up 70% in just the last year of working with them. We have been really satisfied with the results of the project so far, and I really enjoy working with them.
