Scope of Work
Aeliasoft developed a comprehensive digital solution for Altakaful Insurance, consisting of a WordPress-based content management system (CMS) integrated with a React.js web application. The goal was to build a robust, scalable, and user-friendly platform that empowers the client to manage their content easily, deliver online services efficiently, and enhance user engagement.

1. Content Management & Website Development
Aeliasoft implemented a custom WordPress CMS enabling the Altakaful team to create, edit, organize, and publish content effortlessly. Core functionalities included:

• Dynamic page and post management
• Media library for file uploads and image optimization

Aeliasoft demonstrated excellent project management and communication throughout the engagement. The team followed a structured Agile approach, managing all tasks and progress transparently through Jira, where sprints, priorities, and milestones were clearly defined and tracked.
Regular meetings and discussions were held with our team to review progress, address feedback, and ensure alignment with business goals. They were very flexible with changing priorities, often adjusting sprint plans when new requirements emerged or when timelines needed optimization.
Each sprint was well-planned, with clear deliverables and review sessions to validate results. Aeliasoft’s team took feedback seriously and implemented requested changes promptly, ensuring that every detail met our expectations before moving forward.
They always maintained both a Plan A and Plan B approach, anticipating potential challenges early and offering alternative solutions proactively. This made the entire development cycle smooth, predictable, and risk-free.

At times, some project requirements were not fully defined from our side at the beginning. In those situations, Aeliasoft was very helpful and supportive, working closely with us to clarify, refine, and finalize the requirements, rather than blocking progress. However, this became an obstacle to sticking to the project's timeline. This flexibility occasionally meant spending extra time discussing details.

I’m the CTO of Mashvisor, a real estate investment data analysis platform. We use AI and machine learning solutions to provide analysis for US real estate investors.

What challenge were you trying to address with Aeliasoft?

We ran our startup for a year without a QA process. We were focused on building the MVP very quickly, but we received a huge amount of feedback about bugs in our software. We decided to bring in outsourced QA services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Aeliasoft performed annual testing at the beginning. They later built a core for our QA automation framework using Microsoft MVC, along with a UI that lets us configure and run the test cases automatically.

They’ve also used multiple technologies like Selenium, Node.js, and Protractor. They created the Node.js features using JavaScript on top of Selenium. The interface uses Angular.js.

We integrated Aeliasoft’s resources into our internal process. We have an internal development team focused on the main features that we provide to our customers. That’s our core that we can’t outsource—we have to build it in-house. 

What is the team composition?

We worked with three junior resources. One senior QA at the beginning built the infrastructure for us and managed the junior teammates that joined later on.

How did you come to work with Aeliasoft?

We have some R&D resources in Aeliasoft’s area, and we’ve worked with their time zone difference, communication fluency, and skill level. We interviewed a lot of companies and agencies, and multiple local people recommended Aeliasoft to us, having worked with them before. After meeting them a few times, we checked a few projects they’ve done locally and globally as well. We were satisfied and confident about starting the partnership—albeit slowly at the beginning.

We spent about $30,000–$40,000.

We worked together from March 2018 until July 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our developers and business leaders disagreed about where QA should get involved in the development process. Our developers wanted a QA team to check their work after it’s complete, while our leaders and I wanted checks in place during the development process. 

The business leaders’ position won out. After integrating Aeliasoft, we were able to reduce 60% or more of the bugs. By focusing on ongoing development, Aeliasoft made sure to catch everything earlier before we went live. That made an immediate impact.

How did Aeliasoft perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve integrated Aeliasoft’s resources amazingly well within our process. We worked in two-week sprints. During the sprint, they delivered the QA as well as the ongoing testing for the features under development. Aeliasoft was responsible for overcoming the challenges that come up and communicating them with the project manager and Scrum masters to make sure the delivery came on time. They succeeded with this. 

We used Slack, Skype, Jira, and email. Aeliasoft was very good at using management software like Jira and Google Sheets. Their level of collaboration was very high—we could communicate easily with them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Aeliasoft’s quality compared to their prices was impressive, as were their fluency and experience.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t know what Aeliasoft could have done differently.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I advise everyone to work on a scrum model. Aeliasoft is good at this. Have them work your internal team to maximize the benefit of collaborating with them.

I am the founder and CEO of a company that builds computer vision tools and services for robotics and autonomous vehicles.

What challenge were you trying to address with Aeliasoft?

I’ve worked with them in multiple capacities, starting when I was at Google for handling spreadsheets and information portals, and since then on iOS apps and other development projects.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The first app we worked on was for an AI model that we had developed on android but wanted to expand to iOS. The app allows the user to take a picture of a piece of clothing or a person wearing some clothing, and then our AI model finds the closest clothing articles to what is in the picture and offers options for buying those clothing items.

We provided design mockups based on our work, but essentially everything in the iOS app — from the APIs connecting our AI model to the links and image connections outside the application — was coded and implemented by their team.

What is the team composition?

We generally handled project management and would work directly with about 5–6 developers from their team.

How did you come to work with Aeliasoft?

When I was working at Google, I actually posted on a Facebook group that I needed some outsource work to be done, and one of their guys contacted me about it. He happened to have co-founded a startup with someone I knew, so I decided to meet with him, and their team really exceeded my expectations. I liked their work a lot, so we’ve had a good relationship since then.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent somewhere in the tens of thousands with them, but I don’t have an exact number in front of me.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our most recent engagements lasted from about 2015–2017.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re a very technical team, so we always had code reviews and used a bug tracking system to find any issues with their deliverables, and we never received something from them that needed more work than a little bit of nitpicking or a couple of iterations of feedback.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve worked with other outsourcing companies and received a product that took more time to fix than had we simply built it ourselves. The fact that I can trust the quality of the product I’m going to receive from Aeliasoft is a huge credit to their skill and attention to detail.

How did Aeliasoft perform from a project management standpoint?

We took care of project management for the most part, and they always did a good job communicating around deadlines or issues and questions that they had. Our team would basically give them the deliverables and milestones that we wanted, and they would go and get it done.

They are extremely collaborative and upfront about their capabilities. They’ll never mislead you about what they’re going to be able to accomplish, so you always have very realistic expectations when working with them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The ability to give them specific work and be able to trust that they will ask detailed questions if they have doubts and come back to you in the end with exactly what you wanted is an unbelievable quality in an outsourced developer. At the end of the day, they deliver on budget and without causing you any suffering, and that’s what really matters.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They’ve improved over the time since we’ve been working with them and always worked hard to implement our feedback. Once we told them that the code they’d given us wasn’t following our style guidelines, and the next day all of the code was reformatted. I don’t think there’s anything that I think they need to improve at this point.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be open and upfront about what matters to you. There are always certain success metrics that some companies value more than others, but as long as you communicate clearly about what success looks like to you and what your ideal experience is, they are going to be able to provide that for you.

We wanted to create a new functionality based on Selenium JS and couldn't find a relevant developer anywhere, until a poc contacted us with Aeliasoft

What were your goals for this project?

To create a new sub-product to be sold together with our subscription based product, that uses Selenium JS to process orders for our customers.

How did you select this vendor?

We got recommended by a POC of ours and then interviewed Aeliasoft and once they passed the interview stated workign with them

Selenium JS development, 8h per day, 5 days per week. The service was provided fully by them, we had a dedicated developer which they took care of all of his needs from workstation to holiday bonuses.

The Selenium JS developer worked directly in front of our CTO as this was a side project

We managed to stay competitive, and sold the product very well for about a year until it was deprecated due to irrelevancy for the market

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Via Jira, our CTO created the tasks and the developer worked on them Agile style.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I loved how they took care of their team and their communication with us as customers. We also met on their visit to Tel Aviv.

I think they can price their service higher, they did a very good job :)

We worked on augmented reality mobile applications using iOS, and we used some seed money to bootstrap a company. I'm co-founder and vice president of product development.

What challenge were you trying to address with Aeliasoft?

Another company built version one of our iOS app and the CMS. Some of the work didn't meet client standards, so we needed a new partner.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Aeliasoft built upon the existing work and got us to versions two and three. For the mobile app, we used an AR library and were doing some fairly unique things at the time. This was before ARKit came out for iOS. The app had image overlays, GPS, databases, and custom interfaces. We also used the Google Maps suite in iOS, and they sorted out a lot of bugs left by the previous developers.

On the CMS side, we dealt with sophisticated database structures. It was built well, and they built on top of that work. They segmented the database and updated things on their side with MongoDB.

What is the team composition?

We worked with a project manager, a design consultant, a systems and database lead, and an iOS developer.

How did you come to work with Aeliasoft?

Through cold calls and recommendations, I was determined to find a good development partner. I ultimately found them through an alumni network. We were introduced to their founders, and we felt they had the capabilities to take on these projects.

How much have you invested with them?

Our agreement was based on the work completed. Our client didn't make their final payment to us, and Aeliasoft offered us a tremendous discount in solidarity.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together at the beginning of 2016. The project ended around November 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

In the end, the client didn't renew our contract, so the project was not completed. All the work that Aeliasoft did for us was excellent.

How did Aeliasoft perform from a project management standpoint?

They delivered everything on time, as they said they would. We tracked the project using Jira. We communicated through email and WhatsApp, and they were always clear and to the point. We had standup calls with the project manager and the rest of the team. They always let us know right away if something was beyond their capabilities, but that that was rare.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I've used a wide variety of development firms, but Aeliasoft came the closest to being a true partner. They were committed to the work, and they believed in a strong collaboration. They treated us nicely, communicated directly, and delivered on all their promises.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don't think they should do anything differently. As far as improvements go, the iOS space is very competitive, and they could take time to study the newest updates.

Set up a WhatsApp group with the project manager and team members on your side. They're also extremely efficient in Jira, so you can expect them to perform as well as any local team.

Developing a Letters & certificate module where a templates of company letters can be created and employees of the company can request the letters. The manger will receive a notification that an employee has requested this particular letter which has all the employee relevant information generated from the system. Also, there is a workflow embedded in the module so the letter can be approved by multiple managers.

Project manager and a Senior PHP developer.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Till now we are still using the Module and we have no done any modification on it. Also it is the least module with Bugs as the code quality was excellent.

The project was designed by myself but the management was developed by AileaSoft based on our requirements.
