Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder of the eData Enterprise, and we are a conglomerate owned company that manages IT for other products.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with 75WAY TECHNOLOGIES PVT. LTD.?

We needed some IT infrastructure programs created for our various customers that are used to managing or controlling their IT shops. We hired 75WAY TECHNOLOGIES PVT. LTD. to accommodate that need.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

All of their work is custom programming, and a lot of it is web-based. They program both the front- and backend of our customer-facing web applications. The frontend technologies used in that will vary depending on the client’s preferences, but we use a primarily PHP-driven tech umbrella, including NodeJS, AngularJS, MySQL and Java infrastructure. The developers that we work with from their team are proficient in all of those languages and have employed them on a variety of projects for us.

What is the team composition?

I have one main contact who manages the project from their side, and he is the only person I’m ever in contact with, but I know they have 15–20 developers handling different aspects of our projects behind the scenes.

How did you come to work with 75WAY TECHNOLOGIES PVT. LTD.?

We were looking for somebody outside of the US who would be flexible to work with us on a variety of changing needs without racking up huge costs over time. 75WAY TECHNOLOGIES PVT. LTD. was recommended to us by some other professionals who have used them in the past, and we decided to go for it.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent close to $100,000 in total so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

I believe we started working together in June 2015 and are continuing the engagement.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The quality of their work far exceeds what we expected from them in the beginning, and they’ve maintained that high level of quality all the way through our engagement with them. Every product out of the gate has been 90% complete when delivered to us, and we’ve barely needed to make modifications to any of their work.
Whether it’s been because of a change in our customers’ needs or an insight we had over the course of the project, they are always willing to make the modifications that we need, and sometimes will do it without even adding to the total cost of the project. Fundamentally, every time we’ve rolled out a product it has delivered everything that we originally requested.

How did 75WAY TECHNOLOGIES PVT. LTD. perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management has been really important to our partnership. Everything has gone well for us, but we do have to be careful about really specifying our expectations for them. They deliver 100% of what you ask for from them; that said, if there are gaps in your request, they won’t fill in the blanks for you.

Since they don’t have the same vernacular as we do here in the United States, they don’t necessarily understand some of the in-between steps that might be clear to another team. Fortunately, that hasn’t caused us any problems since we have been able to provide them with explicit instructions for each project we do.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their communication back and forth and delivery of the product from start to finish is more consistent and reliable than you will find from almost any non-US company, and their execution is faster than any company in the US. 75WAY TECHNOLOGIES PVT. LTD. really is the best of both the domestic and the outsourced worlds.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I believe all of their developers are based in India, but I’m not sure. It might be helpful for them to make that clear up front so that if a dialog issue comes up, people will understand that it’s because of that and not a refusal to complete any of their requests.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be as specific as possible in your descriptions of your requirements and how you would like them to be executed so that they can deliver as quickly as possible for you.
