I’m the founder of Medina Coffee Company. Our brand has two locations in the US and one in Oman, where we bring the coffee from. We also offer online workshops that everybody has access to, and we teach the history, rituals, and the ceremony of serving Arabic coffee.

Each market we operate in is very different, so we pitch our product in each location is diverse, so we needed a well-thought branding and social media strategy.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Creative Shock Marketing has helped us with our value proposition, branding strategy, and social media strategy. We defined the language we use to talk to our customers and create content for social media. We’ve also had several meetings to understand our market and what message we wanted to get across to our target audience. 

Additionally, they helped us phrase our strategy and product description. We’re currently launching a campaign with them, and they’ll be running our social accounts for another four months. Overall, they’ve produced all our brand strategies, including documents, leaflets, and other promotional materials such as our packaging.

Furthermore, Creative Shock Marketing also created the entire structure and design for the website.

I’ve worked with two people there. About 90% of the time, I work with their founder and a graphic designer who helps us create leaflets and brochures.

They helped us create our brand and find a way to approach our customers. There are still things to be completed, but everything is clear, and people are happy. Creative Shock Marketing has also made it all very clear for customers to know what they’re buying, why, and who they’re supporting.

They surprise us with everything; they’re reachable 24/7, even on weekends. They’re also flexible, efficient, and stick to their deadlines and promises. We have a big time difference between us, and they always find the time to chat with us — I’ve worked in e-commerce for over ten years, and when it comes to digital marketing, they’re one of the best, if not the best. 

We communicate through Upwork and Zoom. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The most remarkable thing is their understanding of our product and market; they know how to create a product and for which audience. It's challenging to understand the market needs and how to reframe and change the product according to its trends, and that’s their biggest strength.

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on — all our work together has been outstanding.

Find time to be detailed and explain exactly what you need — most people don’t take this into account. Also, if you want the marketing strategists to create something valuable, you need to be involved.
