What was the scope of their involvement? 336 Productions produced a video that was around two and a half minutes long. The video was a hybrid of a branding video and an explainer video about how to use our mobile app and robotic delivery service. We provided 336 Productions with our existing footage, and the team focused on editing the video and creating 2D animations.
What is the team composition? We worked with three teammates from 336 Productions.

I found 336 Productions through word of mouth because they were a reputable production agency in Orange County. I came across the team when they did a project with the Orange County Health Care Agency. I liked the corporate videos produced by 336 Productions and their personable and professional team.
What is the status of this engagement? We worked with 336 Productions from late 2022 until March 2023.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We provided a robotic delivery service out of our white-label mobile app, and for the longest time, we had a lot of problems since our core audience didn't know how to download the app or place their first order. 336 Productions delivered a video that helped increase usage in college campuses that had adopted our robotic delivery service. The engagement and adoption of the service among students improved, and the final video exceeded our expectations.

We communicated through email, phone calls, and virtual meetings. 336 Productions stuck to the project's budget and delivered the product on time.

The project wasn't very complex compared to other videos 336 Productions had produced, but they were very accommodating and professional regarding deliverables and editing. When I worked with other production companies, they had strict rules around how many times we could request edits. 336 Productions took the time to understand our situation, which was helpful. The team was easy to work with and drew out the project plan from start to finish.

I can't think of any areas for improvement.

We searched for a production company that was in close proximity to our headquarters, that could provide studio space for the video shoot, and would oversee production logistics including hiring and managing talent, creating pre- and post-production schedules, and everything else in between. After our initial introduction meeting, we worked together on an AV script, reviewed the creative direction of the project, and made casting decisions. 336 Productions took care of everything else from pre- to post-production.
Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?
I worked directly with Josh and Marlowe Stone. The feedback process was simple and streamlined. They sent a Vimeo link for each video cut where I could make notes directly. Both team members were also very responsive over email and always communicated in a clear and timely manner.

Our entire team was very impressed with how the video turned out. We are all proud to launch the brand campaign and are looking forward to seeing the results.

I’m working for Stem Ecosystem, a manufacturer of audio equipment for musicians, professional spaces, and conference rooms.

What challenge were you trying to address with 336 Productions?
We were trying to film a customer testimonial video.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
336 Productions provided full video production services. They helped us with our pre-production needs such as creating interview questions and identifying the right candidates for our testimonial video. On top of that, they assisted us in mapping out our audiovisual (AV) script, and we did a site walkthrough so we could identify what we really wanted to capture.
Once everything was finalized, they started filming. After that, they integrated animations on top of the video to show some of the features of our products. I gave them examples of graphics I wanted to see and they replicated them to finish the animations we needed.

We worked with Marlo (Co-Founder) and Josh (Owner).
How did you come to work with 336 Productions?
I asked our production coordinator to search for 3–5 production companies on Google. After that, I interviewed them. Since I had some unpleasant experiences with previous companies I had worked with, I was a little apprehensive to start fresh with a new production company. However, 336 Productions looked like a company we could trust to produce an amazing testimonial video.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent over $10,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our collaboration ran from August–October 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
From pre- to post-production, 336 Productions’ work exceeded our expectations, and they worked with us every step of the way. On top of that, we had a fantastic production schedule and every single scene was accounted for.
The team truly made our job a thousand times easier because they went above and beyond for this project. Overall, they were incredibly professional, and our customers and entire organization were thrilled with their work. We would like to use their work to run our ads in the future, and we’d consider that as a metric of success in our project, too.
How did 336 Productions perform from a project management standpoint?
336 Production was on top of everything. We mostly communicated through email where they’d send me Microsoft Word documents and other files.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I loved that they had everything figured out before we started filming. Then, once we filmed, I saw that their equipment was top-notch. In fact, they brought a monitor so that I could see their progress during filming.
Additionally, I saw that they had a true passion for their work, and they were invested in telling great stories. The fact that they had provided additional interview questions for filming showed that they were committed to our project. I truly couldn’t wait to work with them again.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, they had no areas to improve.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
If you have any questions or concerns, just talk to 336 Productions. At the end of the day, you need to work with a team that would invest their time and would go the extra mile to tell your story. 336 Productions could be the right company for you because they truly care about their clients.

I’m the brand content manager for Ace Exhibits. We sell trade show and retail displays, such as backdrops and banners.

What challenge were you trying to address with 336 Productions?
A lot of our clients don’t understand our products. We were trying to create instructional videos that would visually show our clients how to put our products together. We also wanted to use them as a sales tool so the client feels confident going into a purchase.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
They created about 90 product videos for us. We gave them a list of products and the steps for putting each item together. Then they wrote the script. Once we approved that, they created the shot list. They set up production and we had many long days of shooting.
Then they would edit the videos together and send over the files for us to look through. Depending on if there were changes, they would put some final touches on them.
They screened voice actors, and then we selected who we wanted. Then they recorded and added the voice over to the file. Then our team reviewed the final product.
What is the team composition?
For preproduction and postproduction, we worked with Josh and Marlo. Then for shooting, there was the DP and three other people assisting.
How did you come to work with 336 Productions?
They focus on product videos for companies and it was helpful that they were local to us. It was a fairly easy decision. There weren’t a lot of companies that were local and focused on what we were looking for.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent a few hundred thousand dollars.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in October 2013 and we made all of these videos over several years. Although we haven’t worked on any videos recently, we will probably work with them again.

We’re happy with what they produced and the process was easy and professional. They definitely help the customer clarify what the product is and how it’s assembled before and after purchasing.
How did 336 Productions perform from a project management standpoint?
In 2013, we didn’t have Asana or Slack, so we used spreadsheets and email for most of our communication. We also used Google Docs and stuff like that. They did respond quickly.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They have a lot of knowledge and experience in this type of video production. The flow of communication was easy and natural. Sometimes working with vendors can be a struggle, but working with 336 Productions felt like a smooth process. There are a lot of things that don’t even need to be discussed because they just handle it.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Nothing comes to mind. We’ve been happy with their work, which is why we’ve invested so much money and time working with them.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Let them do their job, and don’t try to overstep. They’re experts in video production and I trust them to handle what they need to do.
