Were there any software features/tools that you were really impressed by?
At the time, I was really into the site stats. They’re very basic, but as somebody who doesn’t have any access to site stats, it was nice to know what people were looking at, how many people were coming to my site, and where they were coming from.
Looking back, are there any areas of the software that you feel could be added or improved upon?
It comes down to the aesthetic of the site. At this point, that’s the most important thing for me. I’m looking at possibly changing things in my career, so I need to make my site more of a focal point of my work. I need something professional that people are going to look at and think of me as an established writer, which is something Weebly can’t give me right now.
What has been the process of switching from Weebly to Squarespace?
I started from scratch because I don’t know how to do it any other way. I copied and pasted everything into a Google Doc and pieced it together as I wanted it in my Squarespace page.
Have you had to interact with the platform’s support team or reference their support resources?
I use some of their tutorial pages. They were really helpful and answered all of my questions.
