Web.com is a straightforward and easy website to use to develop/create your website.

Experience

I was looking to create a website for my family - to privately share pictures, updates, conversations. I chose to host a private website rather than a site through social media because I have little trust and confidence in their privacy rights and security. I am happy to use encryption, individual user login, and management features to ensure our family has privacy - literally, figuratively, and digitally. I have been cautiously optimistic thus far - web.com has provided the assistance and support I needed and seems to be working well.

Pros

I was very impressed with how simple and straightforward the web design tools were and continue to be very happy with the range of customer support.

Cons

I have been a Web.com customer for a short time and do not have anything negative to discuss.

You should go with it if you feel like you are out of your element with making a website, or you are in a hurry.

Experience

Web.com had been around for a while and had tools to use that were easy to understand. We needed a website made quickly, and it allowed us to do that. We like the domain name, and the 24/7 phone support offered. The service has performed adequately. It's about what you'd expect: it gives you the basics of what you need if you are in a crunch/unfamiliar with companies that allow you to build a website. The 24/7 phone support is nice, and handy, and we do have our a website that is up and running.

Pros

It's easy to use and has 24/7 phone support. It's a simple way to go if you need something quickly or you are still learning how to build websites and the companies that help.

Cons

They don't offer a lot of things that other companies offer. There is no dedicated hosting, VPS hosting, or quality browser-based customer service. And outside of the 24/7 phone support, there doesn't actually seem to be other good ways of contacting them for help.

Experience:

This was and still is the best (in my opinion) free website builder service around. Easy to navigate and easy to build a website. I didn't run into any problems and it was my first time ever making my own website. I use the pages area, as my business has seperately areas of sales. Web.com has performed flawlessly for me and you can see the benifits in my profit margin.

Pros:

Very easy to build websites and is so simple, that my 12 year old son has added other sections for me, without my help.

Cons:

I don't dislike anything about Web.com and nothing needs improvement.

I have no particular advice.

Experience

I chose it for ease of use as I had never done this before. It was very easy to research and learn. I use it for traffic info, emails, full name and address. I like to know if there are repeat custom. I've gotten many more customers. I handle unique vintage items, so just having my business come up in a search is great.

Recommendations:

I'd offer alternatives, such as free widgets, but let them know that Web.com has minimal problems and works hard to keep everything updated and fresh.

Experience:

I used Web.com for the convenience and easy building tools. I didn't note many noticeable problems, other than having to pay for widgets, but that's relatively new. I love its easy website building, photos, descriptions, and font colors. I'd say it's pretty good, other than what I mentioned beforehand about having to pay for widgets.

Pros:

The easy to use tools and fonts.

Cons:

Nothing in particular. It's a little bit difficult to move photos around, but other than that, nothing.
