Can you provide a brief description of your company?
Our company provides financial services software. We focus on investment management, asset management, capital markets, and risks.
What is your position in the company?
I am in charge of our company's digital marketing: social media, PPC [pay-per-click] campaigns, editing our website, and using marketing automation tools.
OPPORTUNITY/CHALLENGE
What was the business challenge your company was facing that initiated the need for this platform?
We wanted to get our content out in a simple and efficient way. We were also interested in looking at the results of our digital marketing efforts. We wanted to measure how many leads we received from social media, and how many of those we converted into sales. Oktopost seemed to be the best choice for us to use in our B2B [business-to-business] digital marketing.
SOLUTION
How does your company use this platform or software?
We have integrated Oktopost into LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+, Facebook, Marketo, and Salesforce. Once we have created our content, we set it up in the automated scheduler and Oktopost takes care of the rest. Then, we look at Oktopost's analytics, which let us know how much engagement each post got in each social media channel. We can then track those leads and see if we converted them into sales.
Was your company considering other platforms? Why this platform?
We spoke to quite a few social media management tools. We spoke to Hootsuite and Sprout Social among others. At the time, Oktopost was new to the market, but they had great online reviews. We didn't have a large budget, so we had to pick a great tool that was within that budget. We set up a trial with Oktopost, and the platform does exactly what we needed it to do. So, we decided to stick with it.

We are on Oktopost's Business Plan.
RESULTS
Can you share any success, metrics, or overall results of your use of this platform?
Oktopost has had a huge impact in our numbers. We had about a 50 percent growth in the past two years. We attribute a lot of that to Oktopost. We've more than doubled our conversions. That's because now we able to track our leads and follow up on them.
FEATURES
Were there any software features or tools that really impressed you?
The recent feature of the social advocacy board is very good. It's perfect for a company our size. It's very simple and easy to navigate. It makes the marketing team and the sales team able to share our content in an easier way because they can do it from Outlook or straight from the phone. Oktopost's interface and user experience are great, too. It's geared toward campaign management, which exactly what we need.
Looking back, are there any areas of the software upon which you feel could be added or improved?
They've got some new features coming up, which probably address these issues, but there needs to be a bit more on the reach of the visibility. It'd be great if we could track how our following is growing and what kind of reach our activity is getting. I think they're addressing that in their next release.
Have you had to interact with the platform's support team or reference their support resources?
Oktopost's knowledge base is very good. I haven't had any issues with the platform. They do have resources about social media marketing in general, not just their software. They've been really helpful with the Marketo integration also. We had a coding issue with the way we were tracking conversions. They were flexible, got to the root of the problem, and came up with a solution that they hadn't applied to anybody else. When I've had to use them they've been exceptional.
