I’m the co-founder of a company that sells retail, classical, and western clothes for ladies. We have an e-commerce platform, and I handle the technical aspects of our business. My partner, on the other hand, manages our supply chain and retail-related operations. We are located in India.

What challenge were you trying to address with Zennaxx?

We hired Zennaxx to help us develop a website and a mobile application for our clothing retail company.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Zennaxx developed a website that could load our stock’s SKUs very quickly. This function was important since we were expecting around 500,000 inventories to come in every day after lockdown. Their team got to it quickly as well because we wanted to have the site ready as soon as possible to make the most of great timing. 

We already had a light, mobile-friendly wireframe, for which Zennaxx built a single infinite scrolling function. Their team also took care of the UI/UX design.

We were initially just planning to make a website, but their team advised us that it would be good to build an application as well. An app would not only add value to users but would also attract a wider audience. Once we agreed, they went into developing the Android and iOS apps as well. 

The website has been launched, but the apps are still being built out.

How did you come to work with Zennaxx?

My friend, who has worked with Zennaxx, referred them to me. We got in touch with them, discussed our project with their team, and ultimately decided to try them out.

How much have you invested with them?

Thus far, we have spent $45,000–$50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began this project in June 2021, but it formally took off in December 2021 once we had agreed on the expectations, design, and budget. After that, it took around four months for Zennaxx to get the project into the Livestream. 

We’re now currently working on the mobile application.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve just launched the website, so we have yet to gather any metrics. However, there are a lot of comments and evidence that we are selling, so that’s a big win for us. We also consider it an achievement that we were able to have a fast turnaround.

How did Zennaxx perform from a project management standpoint?

Zennaxx performs well in this aspect. They’re exceptionally flexible, and they always try to deliver within the agreed timeline. They’ve also accommodated our all of requests and content, and we’ve never had the need to follow up on their progress.

We use Atlassian Confluence, Jira, and Trello as project management tools. For communication and sharing designs and images, we use Skype.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re getting good value for our money with their work. Their uncompromised design services are within pocket-friendly rates, and we get more services than we bargained for.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’ve had a little issue with communication; sometimes, they don’t understand an instruction clearly, and we will need to call them to clarify things. They also need to polish their QA process so we can spend less time refining one item. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Listen to their team because you never know when a gem of an idea can come out in your regular conversations. Be open to trying out the ideas that they share as well.

I'm a co-founder of Plegium, and I currently work as head of sales and business development. Our leading company Plegium AB is in Sweden, and we have a subsidiary in the US called Plegium Inc.

We've developed the world's first smart pepper spray, which sends location text messages and makes phone calls to emergency contacts whenever you spray it.

What challenge were you trying to address with Zennaxx?

We hired them to help us in developing our company's mobile app.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Zennaxx built and maintained our mobile app for both Android and iOS from scratch. The app connects via Bluetooth to our smart pepper sprays and our smart emergency button, which are connected. When someone uses the pepper spray, it sends a signal that raises the alarm that creates location text messages and automatic phone calls to the user's emergency contact.

Currently, Zennaxx is implementing other designs to the platform, and the new version will be released in January.

What is the team composition?

Our developer and architect have been working with Kunal (Founder) and a developer from their side. That's great for us because working directly with the developers means we don't have to go through a project manager.

How did you come to work with Zennaxx?

They were recommended to me by a local IT firm.

How much have you invested with them?

We have spent a bit over $500,000 with them so far.     

What is the status of the engagement?

We began our partnership in March 2018, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They perform well and take overall responsibility for the project. They don't finish the work and leave it at that; they go the extra mile to tell us when something needs to be done.

How did Zennaxx perform from a project management standpoint?

Currently, we have weekly meetings and Skype calls with our architect.

What did you find the most impressive about them?

I like their scale because they engage with our company to understand our product. In addition, they're easy to communicate with and have kept the same developers, which is convenient for us because we work with the same people all the time.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They should improve their project management.

Ensure to give them all the details needed, and they will deliver.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am working as a co-founder for the U-Hop taxi app. I am responsible for executing the project on time. Tasks and responsibilities involve coordinating with vendors, reviewing the progress, and alerting the sales team to start with app surveys and give feedback to vendors to work on it.

For what projects/services did your company hire Zennaxx?

We hired Zennaxx for the U-Hop taxi app development. The main goal was to develop an uber-like app for the locals here in Utah while staying competitive, especially for long rides.

What were your goals for this project?

The primary goal was to have a user-friendly app in place. The great UX should blend in to provide enhanced UX. Also, the other goals involved better design, small download size, and faster implementation while being agile.

How did you select Zennaxx?

My other colleagues and I reviewed a lot of companies before narrowing them down to Zennaxx. The key differentiator was the expertise they demonstrated in giving us intuitive yet straightforward wireframes. Their technical documentation of previous projects helped us navigate their way of work. It was exactly what we were looking for.

Describe the project in detail.

The project was a simple one – creating an intuitive taxi booking app. This involved giving dashboards to drivers and us. Simultaneously, passengers can have frontend engagement on an interactive platform to meet their taxi requirements. The passengers will request the ride, and drivers in the nearby vicinity will accept it. On top of that, this app will have features such as loyalty bonuses on rides, discounts on everyday commute, shopping voucher redemption after collecting specific points. These features will eventually shape the future of our U-Hop app that involves group excursions for travelers in Utah. The project's scope is wide, but for now, we are preparing an MVP for investors.

What was the team composition?

There were dedicated developers assigned by the Zennaxx. Involved three of those plus one designer. Also, since the project is in the final stage, we are dealing with one more person from the QA dept.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project is MVP-ready, and our sales team is conducting surveys. The following month will have our investors meet, and hopefully, we'd onboard a few of those.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very smooth. Everything was on skype with scheduled meets, and all lined up beforehand. Since one more person from sales and I were directly in touch to review project progress, I'd say it was very fast and efficient.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Three things – competitive pricing, expertise, and zero compromises in quality. They adapt well to our changing needs and have been handling arising issues during the agile app implementation. They provided us with the necessary technical inputs wherever necessary such that those inputs enhanced our app.

What challenge were you trying to address with Zennaxx?

Our client needed an app for a product they developed.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The product is an innovative Bluetooth device for the security business. It’s a pepper spray that activates when you fire the device and then activates the Bluetooth to send out the GPS coordinates. It’s both an Android and iOS app. The function of the app is that it goes along with the safety product. We used Amazon Web Services and it’s a SQL-driven database. We also used Facebook, Google, and Google Maps APIs for GPS-driven data. We used Bluetooth technology for the devices. It was native development in order to get to the most detailed part about the Bluetooth. One of the complicated challenges was the background modes on Bluetooth and how to access them.

What is the team composition?

Kunal (Founder, Zennaxx) was our project manager.

How did you come to work with Zennaxx?

I heard of them from a business colleague that had previously worked with them. They were happy and pleased with their performance, cost, and quality. We hired Zennaxx because they had the skills to master the complicated technology behind the product.

How much have you invested in them?

We’ve invested around $10,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them on this project from April–August 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We finished the app and the client is extremely satisfied with the results. They confirmed that satisfaction by ordering more versions and features from Zennaxx. The app was cleared for both the App Store and Play Store. We are currently doing further development of the app. It’s in version 1.3 and still going strong. The prognosis is great.

Kunal was forthcoming in every way possible in order to make the app a success. A great deal of the success of the app can be attributed to good communication with the team and how they are able to process our requests.

How did Zennaxx perform from a project management standpoint?

They perform especially well. Delays were only because of us or my client due to some scope and feature creeping. They perform excellently in keeping the schedule and budget. We use a basic Trello function and Skype for communication. We found the most effective way to communicate is to have ongoing contact with Kunal.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They go above and beyond in every aspect. We always feel like we get the most value for the money we invest. We feel secure with the developers, and the service they provide is excellent.

Communicate openly with the team about the specifics. If you have questions, feel free to ask; they are competent at explaining the technical details.

They’re very friendly, and always responded directly when I contacted them. Technologically speaking, they’re very good.

We used a project management tool, along with Skype for communication. Zennaxx’s team talked directly to the end-client.

Is there anything that the vendor did well or that you would consider a strength?

Their communication was very good, but they didn’t maintain a good pace at times.

They always tried to challenge what I want.

What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?

They have good UI/UX design skills, so I would refer them to others.

I am an independent IT consultant and I assist my client to develop web & mobile applications by forming an offshore team and making sure that it satisfies my clients' needs.

The goal of the project is to meet develop mobile apps as per the requirement and continuous improvement and developing new features.

Whenever I have any need of selecting a vendor in the project, I make a list of vendors who have done similar work in the past and I did the same with Zennaxx. In the next step, I took a call with one of the representatives from Zennaxx and he was impressive. He explained everything in detail from onboarding to project execution and support.

It was a mobile apps development requirement and I wanted to hire dedicated full-time Android and iOS developers. I had an initial set of requirements for the beta release and then I needed a continuous development for improvement and support. It was a year-long project.

What was the team composition?

As I had a requirement of dedicated Android and iOS developer and I was provided with one Sr. Android and one Sr. iOS developer. I was also provided with a team leader for planning and managing those resources.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I am very happy with the outcome of this project. The developers are very knowledgable and executed the project very subtlely. They have adopted the idea quickly, provided consultation on technology stacks and developed applications exactly as per the specification.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was very effective and I had no problem coordinating and communicating with Zennaxx team.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I am very impressed with their quality of work. The developers have very good knowledge of the required technology and are able to work on fairly simple to pretty complicated tasks too.

I do not think that I have anything to suggest to them at this moment.

Zennaxx provides a monthly basis developer service to us. Their developer will based on our requirement to work on those tasks. Also their developer will be provided professional opinion if there are better solution

What were your goals for this project?

The goals of those project would be like to transfer all our system (ERP, HR or other system) into mobile platform

How did you select this vendor?

We select this vendor because they provide professional solution and have a great system analysis team. Also, they will advise many different design model for us to be more easy to use for the app.

We will have 1 week 1 meeting to see the timeline and discuss how the target task of each week. Then we can deliver the app on time. Also, their management team will have once a month per meeting to review the developer's performance.

What was the team composition?

Initially, we were assigned a project manager to support us and serve as the main point of contact throughout the project. I only spoke with our project manger, but I was made aware that there were 2 frontend and 2 backend developer, as well as a QA resource working behind the scenes.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The first version can be launch in 6 months. Afterward, we have launched phase 2 in the next three months. We received much positive feedback and hope us to enhance more function into the apps

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The project manager that we were assigned was east to communicate with and provide us frequent updates. We connected over Skype at least once a month and used Jira for all other communication. Overall, I was impressed by the timeliness of the team.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We learned much more than we thought possible, and we appreciated that they were patient and thoughtful while we came up to came up to speed. We have worked with other agencies for different area of the company, but this was a particularly collaborative and positive experience. I will certainly engage with this company again for any mobile app needs that we have in the future.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Everything can always be done faster, but we were very satisfied with their work every step of the way. In the end, quality is more important than speed and we ended up with a beautiful product.
