I am a small business owner providing recruiting and staffing services nationwide since 1982.
For what projects/services did your company hire Zen Small Biz?
My website was 20 plus years old and did not reflect my current business practices. It needed updated and more representative with my current services and markets.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I researched local companies as well as some recommended by networking affiliates to determine what was available and the associated time and financial commitments. I felt Zen understood what I wanted to accomplish with the updates and moreover my business services that I wanted to focus on.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
After a few meetings and exchange of ideas, they came up with a concept that seemed to fit and then I gave them rough drafts of what I wanted to feature and general information regarding the tenure and evolution of my business. We fine tuned the services and overall layout until we both felt comfortable.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
My primary point of contact and communication was with their owner, Elyse.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The process was very user-friendly and as they host the site, I am able to concentrate on the leads generated and not bogged down with maintenance issues.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Communication was easy and very open as is our continued relationship that includes ongoing updates. I am very pleased with their follow-through and responsiveness.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
For me, it was their willingness to explain very technical information in terms that I could easily understand. What seemed to be an overwhelming task was completed allowing me to dedicate my time to my business activities that generate income.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Nothing major but perhaps a step by step questionnaire as a blueprint to what needs to be done to complete the design phase.
