I was actually surprised with how much effort YYC3 Marketing took to truly understand our company. The thing is, a lot of my work is regulatory, so it’s very hard to market and there’s not a lot of people that are aware of our services. YYC3 Marketing does a great job of truly showcasing our company and offerings in a way that aligns with our identity.
In terms of quantitative metrics, we’ve seen a significant increase in our sales, site traffic, and the number of calls we receive. I’m really pleased with the results I’ve gotten so far, considering how little I paid for their services.

YYC3 Marketing has performed well in terms of project management. We primarily communicate through texts, phone calls, and email.

I’m impressed with the fact that I don’t even have to worry about digital marketing anymore. I also really like their attitude and strong work ethic. YYC3 Marketing is a small firm, so they’re very personal in their approach. We’re not just another contract for them — they really make an effort to engage with us and show that they truly care about us, which is something that’s hard to find these days.

Other than the fact that they should be charging more for their services, I don’t have any complaints — it’s been such a great experience for us.

I am one of the owners of Mountain View Building Materials, located in Calgary Alberta. We are a family owned and operated boutique contractor and retail exterior building materials supplier.
For what projects/services did your company hire YYC3 Marketing, and what were your goals?
We reached a point where we needed to transition our business from the successful “mom and pop” shop it was to a bigger operation. We needed to hire more people to help us reach our goals, and to do so, that meant narrowing our job descriptions to focus on what WE were best at, and hiring out the things we weren’t.
We hired YYC3 to overhaul our website, and digital marketing. We knew who we were as a business, and YYC3 saw and understood our goals, together we worked together to develop our unique marketing content and website.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We interviewed a number of companies, but it was YYC3’s honesty, enthusiasm, and quite frankly lack of knowledge of our industry that lead us to hiring them. They were the type of client we were trying to access, so it really helped with developing our marketing strategies that they were learning about our industry at the same time.
They asked questions frequently that we just assumed people knew the answers to. So our posts were very topical, and well received. It was a perfect match, we knew little about what they could do for us, and they knew little about our industry. We trusted each other and jumped in with both feet!
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and marking tools used.
We have them full creative authority over web design digital marketing, with one caveat, everything had to be consistent. Consistent branding, messaging, and frequency (but they knew that already). There was ample back and forth but we trusted their suggestions and they supported our feedback and requests. Work was done timely and organized, and the posts are great!
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked with a number of the YYC3 team, as well some of their contractors.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Our contractor and retail traffic has increased significantly, same with our phone in traffic. We can always tell when a post hits the mark by the amount of requests we get for the specific products we talk about and share.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Excellent communication on their behalf! Always. If anything slowed progress it was on me not replying and providing feedback in a timely manner.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The amount of work their small team can produce. They always put in the work for us, which is something I value deeply.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Align their web design talents with a web developer to ensure their beautiful website ideas work well with google and other search engines.

It is impossible to predict every challenge a new company might face so there were a couple of unexpected challenges however YYC3 would make it their top priority to troubleshoot and address any unforeseen challenges and ensured we earned from them as a team to avoid similar challenges in the future.

YYC3 Inc. came up with a marketing plan that organized our social media and helped us to move forward. Their team gave us good guidance on our direction so that I didn't have to navigate our marketing efforts blindly.
They also helped us with an online learning platform using Teachable. Their team put that together and helps us stay on a timeline for content. They've also helped with content, but I usually create it. Their team got us organized in a way that I wasn’t capable of doing by myself.
