We are the largest automotive manufacturing company in Asia. I head the connected and digital solutions for the company.

For what projects/services did your company hire YUJ Designs?

UX research, design and development of a solution for the connected electric vehicle, which would eventually become the highest selling electric vehicle in India (as of writing this review).

What were your goals for this project?

Ultimate goal was to have a connected and digital product out which would be a customer wow and will gel with the uniqueness and novelty of the actual physical product which it would tag along.

How did you select YUJ Designs?

It was through the process involving multiple evaluation criteria from functional to commercial.

Describe the project in detail.

The project basically involved a completely new product (vehicle) offering in the Indian market which would be connected in nature. People were to be able to effortlessly and intuitively interact with the vehicle remotely and derive benefit from such interactions.

Part of it was to create an app which will be provided as a digital and connected offering along with the vehicle and this app was to gel with the ethos of the product ecosystem in terms of design and capability. Had to be something absolutely new !

What was the team composition?

There were about 6-8 people I interacted with however, I believe there were many more behind the scenes

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The methodology of research, the scope and detailing which was presented even before the designs were to be developed gave immense confidence and we knew we were on a success path.

Must also say that the design when demonstrated to us, we absolutely had nothing to add, it was already top notch! It was first time ever actually, personally for me, that I had no feedback for a vendor partner first-cut produce, but just to say “looks great”!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The team was very responsive and supportive — we were able to get through with our views to them on how we wanted to see the end product.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I believe it's the proactive effort and the zeal to go beyond the typical requirement list from the client. That is unique and when a company puts their heart like this in the outcome, it sure will be a success.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Every team has areas for improvement and I am sure there would be some for Yuj design as well, however with this project we did leave no stone unturned and its evident in the outcome.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Product Owner for online e-commerce platform. We sell Commercial vehicle spare parts to our customers. The e-commerce platform is created to cater to this requirement of customers.

For what projects/services did your company hire YUJ Designs, and what were your goals?

Yuj Designs was hired to provide us the complete end to end UI/UX design creation for various stake holders viz; fleet customers, the channel partners (servicing the requirement) and the business Management portal.

We were facing issues in capturing the exact requirement of customers and wanted a solution so that customers can be served better. Through immersions, Yuj team was able to get us the exact solution which is under development .

How did you select YUJ Designs and what were the deciding factors?

Yuj Design has been associated with us for some time. In fact their work in Electric Vehicle is well appreciated. among our panel of vendor we floated the requirement and picked up Yuj, given their understanding of product and experience in creation of such web portals and apps. Also the Yuj team was able to show flexibility by engaging with multiple stakeholders which helped the team take a call.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The project was to design the complete front end customer interface, channel partner interface and Company interface. This is to be built on top of Solr platform, by linking the enterprise solutions.

This project aligns the portal to back end enterprise solutions system, and in the front end with payment gateway, electronic parts catalogue, fintech partners, other co-channel partners (through cordys), external APIs etc. A fairly complicated product to create and deliver.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Around 6 to 7 resources were deployed for this project with co-founder leading from the front with Director designs,Managers and field executives.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The solution is work in progress with back end data integration with the wire frames. However given the base product, the share of wallet at each customers is showing a positive trend.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.

the Project was completed well within the time lines. The Yuj Design team were using Jira for updates on project. There were also multiple exchange of communication over email, phones, regular meetings etc. etc.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The Yuj Design team was never getting influenced by whatever internal stake holders had to say. While they got the download from Business, the team went about, their own with customer interaction. The team was able to bring about customer pain points well and was able to design a solution around the same.

Are there any areas for improvement?

At this moment, can't think of any.

How did you select YUJ Designs?

After discussing with few agencies working in this field.and after few initial discussion and presentation from their team we decided to go ahead with YUJ after doing reference check.

Describe the project in detail.

The scope of the project to be performed by YUJ Designs was as follows:

• UX Design Strategy, Interaction design (UX), Visual Design, Usability Testing, UI Guidelines & Design specs
• Development - Technical Design, Code Development, Testing, API integration and UAT services.
• The mobile application will need to be compatible for all mainstream mobile operating systems, namely IOS and Android.
• OS Versions and devices sizes - for Apple minimum iPhone 6+ and for Android minimum device size is 5 inch with android OS 6.0.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Definitely effective, it is all part of one team with requirements flowing with UX teams involvement. Project management is one of YUJ’'s solid focuses. YUJ team leader was very good at running cadence and stakeholder expectation management.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their knowledge of UX Design and their ability to deliver solutions was impressive. Their expertise makes business sense and ROI for customers.

Everything seems fine.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the co-founder and CEO at a healthcare technology company based in the USA. Our company focuses on building a product which is basically a health communication tool for physicians with their own clinic to communicate within their organization or beyond their organization to other bodies. It is much like a web-based and mobile communication app, but more purpose-built to help with integration into information systems for physicians.

For what projects/services did your company hire YUJ Designs?

We are working on our company to stand out for more than 8 years now and in the past two years, we planned to go commercial. We required a native version of our app to be built.

What were your goals for this project?

Goal of this project was to bring a special feel to our app where it could stand for the choices of our target audience. Our target audience is mainly physicians where they have extra-ordinary expectations from such apps.

How did you select YUJ Designs?

One of the project managers at my company had a previous working experience with YUJ and based on his recommendation I decided to check for their work profile. Impressed by their clients and past projects, I decided to finalize them.

Describe the project in detail.

We had a hybrid application which was accessible from Android and iOS devices, however, the presentation and the overall feel wasn't there. Physicians, our objective segment, have better expectations, so we needed to include that extra clean feel onto our application.

So, here, we searched for a partner to assist us to get there. The project was fundamentally to remake the app to current specs. Since the project is reaching to an end now, we have some further development work that we will be drawing in with the YUJ team to upgrade the product on a couple of the last sprints.

The application was underway, I got some feedback from certain clients that it wasn't the place it should have been. We required it to have that versatile feel.

What was the team composition?

Initially, YUJ assigned us a UX manager and two UX designers for the project. Also for the final upgradation, they assigned one more designer to assist.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The application updates showed positive development, the metrics being a testimony to it. The addition of YUJ to our team also has helped tremendously with their creative inputs to the project, thus speeding up the development. The client research they did also proved fruitful in increasing the effectiveness of the application.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication is the best part about working with YUJ Designs. They made sure each and every issue we faced during the process was taken care of. The assigned team was extremely co-operative which is why the work division was very smooth.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The most impressive aspect of working with YUJ Designs is the ease of communication they provide. According to my team developers, at no point in the working stage, they felt that work cohesion was an issue.

The tasks assigned were duly completed and they even helped us in optimizing the development process. Creativity is another strong suit at YUJ. The designers offered us a unique perspective with the tasks in hand.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The performance of YUJ has impressed me a lot and I don't particularly think there are any major issues. One minor area they could improve is their price optimization but I don't see it as a major conflict.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

We are a leader in the oil and gas services industry serving more than 100,000 people in over 85 different countries. I lead our digital productivity studio, which does end-to-end digital work for mobile applications web applications, chatbots, and other automated solutions.

What challenge were you trying to address with YUJ Designs?

They provided expertise in the UI design of some of our mobile applications to make them more user-centric.

What was the scope of their involvement?

YUJ Designs worked with us to conduct user research and performing interaction design and visual design alongside our internal team. They were focused on creating an interface that wouldn’t require any training from a user in order to be fully understood, and on top of that was a catchy and beautiful visual for people to engage with.

What is the team composition?

We started out with just one member of their team, but based on the quality of their work we scaled to include a much larger group.

How did you come to work with YUJ Designs?

Our team was looking for a team that was also based in Pune, India, and found the YUJ team through the internet. We set up a meeting with them, went to their offices, and really got to know their process, portfolio, and personality. We met with several other teams as well but decided that they would be the best option for us.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them from around September 2016 and are continuing to partner together now.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

At this point, they are collaborating with a broad range of our teams on different projects, so it is difficult to measure the exact success of their work. However, everyone who has worked with them directly has been extremely satisfied with the quality and creativity that they delivered as well as their ability to interpret requirements and deliver results that complimented our internal team’s products well.

How did YUJ Designs perform from a project management standpoint?

Their geographic location and integration within the team required them to be very collaborative and very understanding of cultural differences between the teams. They did a great job of adapting to the requests and constraints that we gave them.

Our teams primarily communicated through Jira, Confluence, and other software tools, but we also use standard email and phone calls from time to time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their creativity and agility are definitely the strong suits of the engagement. We worked in some very hard-pressed timelines and with a lot of changing requirements, and they have been able to handle those conditions pretty much without any difficulty.

Are there any areas they could improve?

All of the individuals working with us did their jobs excellently, so I have no complaints there. From a management perspective, I think they could have done a little bit more in terms of looking at the big picture and suggesting directions that we could go or items we could add that we didn’t notice while in the thick of the development process.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They really are a great team to work with. They focus a lot on their hiring, so you can trust everyone that you work with as a part of your collaboration with them.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Email on 9/26/2018 Kranti, Please consider this email as the sign-off for the "User Experience Design for VirGo" project. The project started towards end of July 2018, and has run till today. We got to a good starting point for our product development and delivery.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the director of product management at a cybersecurity company. We develop cybersecurity solutions — a combination of hardware, cloud services, and software — that help protect customers from advanced threats  that target the network, endpoint and cloud.

What challenge were you trying to address with YUJ Designs?

The UX for cybersecurity is very complex and we realised that it had to be the backbone of everything we do. To help with that, we brought on a chief design officer and a few design staff members; but we realised that we needed more help. That's when we decided to enlist outside help.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We had them work on multiple design projects to help increase the pace of growth. We’ve finished two thus far. They’ve created designs for our new cybersecurity capabilities. Most of our work has been project-based. In the end, they delivered sketches and wireframes, but we had them join in on interviews with customers to identify what they needed for UX and usability.

What is the team composition?

In the two projects we had, they had two people each. Because we had more projects down the line, they had one person in charge of executing the project rather than creating the designs.

How did you come to work with YUJ Designs?

Once we realized we needed the support, we shopped around for different vendors. My boss had experience with YUJ Designs from a previous company. We looked at their work and experience and determined they’d be the right fit for us.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $150,000 and $200,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The projects started in May 2019 and ended in October 2019. They worked on two projects in that timeframe.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve been very satisfied with what they’ve done with us. Understandably, there were some challenges associated with first-time engagement, but once we got the ball rolling, it was great. The designs were well-received internally and externally. Design is subject — someone will always say something — but we’ve implemented the design and we’ve gotten very positive feedback.

How did YUJ Designs perform from a project management standpoint?

During the design phases, we spoke every day so we didn’t have anything go wrong. Our company had never done anything out-of-house, so we had some hiccups initially. However, we set ourselves on the right path early on.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

Design is a unique space with niche skills, especially user design. YUJ Designs’ staff were young, but their creativity skills were amazing. They did a lot of research on our industry and found recommendations for what needed to happen. Overall, their folks were fantastic.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing that comes to mind at this time.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Even though they’re really good at design, don’t expect them to be great in your domain. You, as the product manager, need to decide whether a design is fit for your industry. They only know so much about the business.

I’m the director of development for a product development company. We build products that help retailers operate their stores better.

What challenge were you trying to address with YUJ Designs?

We needed help with platform development and hired YUJ Designs for the task.

What was the scope of their involvement?

YUJ Designs did the UX design and interactions part of our platform, giving us screenshots and everything. They used HTML and React to create workflow, scheduling, and task management features, among others. We went through a few iterations with them before finalizing the product.

We also worked on AB testing the system for the retailer. In the offline world, when you want to test stuff, different challenges arise, so it was part of our initiative to create offline tests to run them and learn from them.

YUJ Designs came up with the whole UX for that. Another thing we created with YUJ Designs was a real-time scheduling platform to help users incorporate data from various systems in the store. It allows people to visualize data and plan ahead.

What is the team composition?

There were four people involved, including a project manager that was constantly working with me, a UX designer, a UI specialist, and an HTML/JavaScript developer.

How did you come to work with YUJ Designs?

When I was doing my research, I selected a few companies out of Poland and I liked YUJ Designs the most. We started off with some work to see how they did and we continued from there.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $30,000–$40,000 on this project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in September 2017 until April 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our product is on the market and we have a few big customers. The platform's UX is one of the best things about it. YUJ Designs did a good job. We’re currently going through the challenges of getting more customers, but we do have people using the platform.

How did YUJ Designs perform from a project management standpoint?

YUJ Designs does a fair job with project management. We had some time zone related challenges, but they did a good job overall.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’ve interacted with YUJ Designs’ top management if any issues had to be escalated. They addressed any concerns we had and we knew we could count on them to fix things.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We could have saved some time while they tried to understand our domain. They’ll never get the full domain knowledge.

I’m the senior vice president of Datamatics, a technology solutions company.

What challenge were you trying to address with YUJ Designs?

We were developing the next version of our product and needed someone to help us build the UI.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started by showing YUJ Designs what our business is all about and had a detailed discussion regarding our product and all related questions. Then we highlighted what our expectations of them were, which basically encompassed ease of use. We wanted our targeted customers to have a fantastic user experience.

We interacted a lot with YUJ Designs when they came up with the prototype. We then brainstormed again about the colors, the flow of the screens, and layout, and had whole-day workshops. We then arrived at a certain baseline for the UI. During the process, there were a lot of iterations from our side to get it exactly how we wanted it to be. Our product was mostly created with the Microsoft Stack. We used other plugins as well and C# as the development language.

What is the team composition?

There were 4–5 people actively involved in the project, but I don’t know how many there were in total. There was one key person, a next-level technical architect, the creative people, and developers. The development was done remotely, and when it was required, they came and worked with us here.

How did you come to work with YUJ Designs?

I was exploring around for a good partner and my colleague recommended YUJ Designs since he had used their services. We shortlisted them based on some initial screening we did.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $25,000-$50,000 on this project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in August until October 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The experience with YUJ Designs was fantastic and we’re very happy with what they delivered. I also really appreciated the back-and-forth process between us. When new stakeholders came in, there were certain changes needed and YUJ Designs addressed them. Our new clients say that the new UI is really easy to use.

How did YUJ Designs perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management was very good. YUJ Designs was available almost 24/7 and was flexible and accommodating. We had regular communication of timelines, challenges, and follow-ups. It’s what has helped us to complete the project with an aggressive deadline.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The key thing was their creativity and the ease with which our ideas became reflected in the design.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We could’ve avoided certain iterations on our side. From their side, there’s nothing I’d have them improve. They came up with great designs pretty fast.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Doing your homework, in the beginning, will help cut down the end-to-end cycle. That way, YUJ Designs will get to know your expectations more clearly in the first instance rather than having subsequent discussions.  Also, do some brainstorming together to get their ideas.

I’m the VP of Products for DataVision. Our company has been providing software solutions for the banking and financial services industry for over two decades.

For what projects/services did your company hire YUJ Designs?

We wanted our core banking product to have a visually appealing new design for the global market.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was to create a more attractive design and better user experience for our site. 

How did you select this vendor?

We found a couple of companies on the web. After narrowing down the options to two vendors, we selected YUJ Designs based on their proposal, presentation, and project approach based on studying our product. We engaged them for our website project once we agreed to a timeline.

Describe the project in detail.

YUJ Designs redesigned the entire UI/UX, including all the user screens. The delivery included wireframes and HTML code. We also engaged with them on the Website design for our Latin American market.

What was the team composition?

Three UI/UX and Three HTML developers including the lead worked on our project. I'm not sure exactly how many teammates were involved.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

YUJ Designs conducted a lot of research before providing us with a solution. We had a good experience overall. 

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

YUJ Designs was always responsive. Despite some initial hiccups, but the management team’s timely intervention smoothed out our interactions during the later stages. 

What did you find most impressive about this company?

YUJ Designs provided several iterations for each solution. They have an excellent and professional approach.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We did not face any issues during the website design stage. One thing they need to look into is planning the deliverables.
