Design and Develop an App
The journey from foodiebay to chaknaboyz has been quite a thrill.
Designing an app for cloud kitchen is not easy. It has to be elegant and fast because
the clients visiting a food app carry very low patience level. They reach to an app
like this for celebration and the app has to complement their event and celebration
as a true partner. ChaknaBoyz caters still even more sensitive user base who place
an order on the app to initiate their drink party. Team at Yugasa knew this business
criticality and could successfully design and develop an app which satisfied the client.

Desktop & Mobile App Dev for Cleaning Machine Manufacturer
"The project was handled with utmost care and responsibility through and through."
the reviewer
the review
The client submitted this review online.
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am Co-Founder of a company called Delta Solutions. We are affiliated partners with some of the global brands who manufacture heavy weight cleaning machines to be used in factories and industries spread across multi thousands of square feet areas. We rent these machines and sell the cleaning solutions and chemicals to our customers on regular basis.
Large manufacturing units in Food and beverages, hotels, pharma and more require automation in their cleaning practices. Big premises can not be cleaned manually by humans and some industries have very specific instructions around the use of cleaning agents and chemicals as per the industry directives. We provide the required solutions to such customers and I have been instrumental in doing this through Delta Solutions since many years now.
For what projects/services did your company hire Yugasa Software Labs, and what were your goals?
We are a B2B company with very loyal clients using our products. They need cleaning machines on monthly rental along with the servicing and maintenance support from us and buy chemicals and liquid solutions on regular basis as per their needs. Reaching out to our team for refills or enabling payments for the services and items consumed is such a repetitive task which can be performed through automation without the need of any human intervention. We wanted all this to be automated. But unlike latest tech trends, we needed all this to be through desktop application.
Mobile apps were not required because none of our clients’ procurement team members would ever place an order on the move or while he is not at work. Hence desktop application supporting on Windows and Apple was required to let our existing customers place orders for renting of the machines, buy small service equipment and buy cleaning solutions and pay us online. Apart from this we needed a customer support ticketing solution with in the same platform so that our customers could keep themselves connected with us for any grievances.
Our aim was to reduce human intervention by at least 30% in our repetitive activities like payment collections and support practice. We got this automation done by Yugasa for us.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We found Yugasa through Google Search. Their online reviews and our first few meetings with them brought our enough confidence in them for making this solution for us. Their previous work in building desktop applications was also another deciding factor which none of the other vendors, competing with Yugasa, could show us to our satisfaction.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
Our team comes from a completely non tech background. We just knew what we needed to solve at our end. How would that be done and the feasibility of achieving the same was not at all sure to us. When we reached out to Yugasa and discovered that they understood this to be a basic eCommerce website and an app kind of requirements. But we never wanted this to be an online solution ever because we did not want this to be a public platform for anyone to come and shop with us. The existing set of customers who have multiple reasons to do business with us would only use this platform. A lot of relationship building happens between our customers and Delta Solutions before we start doing a business with any customer. Hence together we concluded that it should be a desktop application.
We had multiple rounds of discussions and a proper SRS document ready before the actual development started. The project development was divided into milestones which were set against certain payments schedules. Team Yugasa started working with us after the contract was mutually agreed. They built the product on a technology called ElectronJS for making the application compatible for Windows and Mac OS. Their deliverables included the design files, an instruction manual on how to install the app on desktops and the desktop app itself. Application was continuously demonstrated and tested while it was under construction and we were kept informed of the progress during the development cycle.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We had 5 members team working on our project. PHP Developer, ElectronJS Developer, UI/UX designer, QA Professional and a Project Manager.v
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We do not require to chase our customers around payments now. They pay us upfront online for machine renting and for buying the chemicals. This has improved our payment pipeline by 80%. Around 40% of our staff now is available to work on other tasks rather than attending the customers calls or informing them about our inventory or for chasing them around payments.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Their communication channels are wonderful. We were shown the product during weekly demos over Google calls. They were highly responsive over emails and Phone calls. The project was handled with utmost care and responsibility through and through.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their ability to understand the real problem and suggesting the perfect solution was most impressive about Yugasa. I loved the way they understood our business model and guided us to build what could actually add value in our operations. While with the other competing vendors we sensed that they were trying to convince us do what they could do best without giving any attention to what we actually needed.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We are an old school team. LoL. Hence felt the need of meeting the development team face-to-face at times during the project development. But team Yugasa was very particular about doing things online. That raised a little discomfort in the beginning but later we also learned the art of doing meetings online most of the times.

Marketplace App Dev for Locator Service Company

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am co-founder at LetMapIt, a brand aiming to help offline businesses create their online presence locally. We aim to empower the brand’s performance through organic online marketing which its needs to succeed. To achieve this, we deploy multiple automation through third party tools as well as our own state of the art IT products like managing reviews on multiple social media platforms from one place and maintain their GMB accounts or by sending businesses’ deals to the local customers with in a radius of two KMs over their phones in an automated way.
For what projects/services did your company hire Yugasa Software Labs, and what were your goals?
In an endevour to help offline retailers search for the intended buyers with in their vicinity and help buyers access the local deals over their phone when they are inside an offline market, we needed an O2O hyperlocal marketplace app from Yugasa. Before Covid India had 93% buyers shop offline. After Covid this strength has certainly dip but still around 85% buyers enjoy offline shopping. Our goal was to help offline retailers get business from these offline buyers with ease and let buyers enjoy offline shopping with a blend of rewarding online medium.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I and Ashish, the founder of Yugasa, met at a networking event where we exchanged our coordinates to meet again to discuss my app idea. After a month of our that first meeting, we met at Yugasa’s office, where the complete idea was explained to Yugasa development team. Yugasa’s enthusiasm and consultancy approach in polishing the business idea inclined me towards them.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
Meeting at Yugasa’s office for discussions around my idea filled me with enough confidence to pursue it. I wanted the app the previous day and felt like I was already late in launching it. Hence hired a dedicated team from Yugasa who sat with me at my office and participated in drafting the requirements phasewise and parallely started designing and developing it. I must confess that we did not follow the most formal way of software development, though I knew about that, but my aim was to produce something tangible at the soonest.
Scope of the project majorly included developing a platform where the hyperlocal merchants could upload their daily deals through a web platform and the offline buyers would access those deals on their mobile phone as they reach in a diameter of 2 KMs of that particular merchant who was selling deals. As soon as a customer reaches inside a market, where our registered merchants are present, the app will send notification of all the deals inside that market. Customers can just click on the deal of their choice and follow the path to reach to that merchant. Avail the deal and pay through the app wallet. We did this platform on NodeJS, Android SDK and SWIFT. Frontend of the web platform was done using HTML, CSS and JS.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
The team comprised of 4 members at any time (Web, Android, iOS full time and Frontend Developer / Designer / Tester on partial basis)
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Almost 70% of our customers at LetsMapIt buy our monthly retainer package because of our lead generation platform for them. They simply love it and I am glad that with the help of Yugasa Software Labs, I could add value for the offline merchants and offline buyers.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
I enjoyed the sincerity of Yugasa developers. We worked in a closely knit environment. Everything we were doing was recorded in Black and White over emails and the progress was made to my satisfaction.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They were humble, result-oriented, and a deserving team. I liked the way they absorbed my requirements. I never felt the working team as a third party team. They were always LMI’s team and even now, when I connect them, I can sense their connectivity with the product.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I am super impressed by them and can’t find any area where I would suggest any changes. Though I am aware few of the members who worked on my project have moved on in their career now. Retaining talent should be practiced but that’s Yugasa’s own call and I cant comment on it.

Mobile App Dev for Solar Engineering Company
"Their capability, integrity, and proactive communication were impressive."

The client submitted this review online.
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the founding director at Darsh Renewables Pvt. Ltd, a company that deals in solar engineering and implementation of solar panels for industrial use pan India. DRPL group is actively pursuing alternative energy initiatives in solar sector for providing solutions for both Thermal and Photovoltaic technologies in India and expects to be at the forefront of the solar revolution in the country. Through its own establishments, channel partners, and associates, DRPL has its products at 2000+ sites and help significant Carbon Emission savings.
For what projects/services did your company hire Yugasa Software Labs, and what were your goals?
We have a large bunch of ‘Feet on Street’ man power for new implementations and maintenance of the existing installations. Our employees travel on daily basis in different parts of the country for their allocated assignments. Scheduled maintenance on different client sites and SoS maintenance requests from our customers had always been a pain in the neck until we decided to digitise our whole process. We approached Yugasa for building a digital platform for us where we could receive sos maintenance requests from our customers or may keep a watch on pre-scheduled maintenance activities and assign those tasks to our employees.
These employees would use the platform to look at their daily assignments and act accordingly and also put requests for their re-imbursments within the platform against their travel, lodging and per-diem for disposing of any assigned task. All this digital transformation was done by Yugasa through mobile app platform on Android and iOS for employees as well as our customers. Our aim was to streamline and digitise our post sales support through mobile apps and to achieve contended customers by providing them ‘on time’ servicing facility.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We found Yugasa through our online research while finding an appropriate vendor who could understand our requirements, justify their experience in designing and developing such enterprise level apps and establish enough confidence about their capabilities. We discovered their capabilities after they demonstrated few of their previous works around such large enterprise applications. Their first document, explaining their understanding of the requirements, satisfied us about their knowledge and keen interest in doing the project with us.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
Project required Android and iOS apps for employees to look at their daily assignments and sos calls from the customers. There was an app for customers on both Andorid and iOS platform to raise new requests or get notifications about scheduled maintenance or for approving the work done by any DRPL employee at their site. A web super admin was required to keep a watch on all the daily progress of employees, work rendered and client tickets handling.
Employee app would also automate the reimbursement requests for employees’ travel and lodging. There were far more features and functionalities which were done around the app other than achieving this main goal. Yugasa prepared a ‘Scope of Work’ document for us and divided it into phases and execute the project development according to those phases. There were stages when we added more requirements during the project execution but I am glad that they could embed those in their plan since they were following a special practice of software development which they called Agile method. Apps were built using Java and SWIFT and customer app was done on Flutter. Backend was done on Laravel.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Following team worked on our project.
- Two Laravel Developers
- One Android Developer
- One iOS Developer
- One Flutter Developer
- One Software Tester
- One Project Manager
- One Graphic Designer
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Client satisfaction through on time servicing has raised by approximately 35%. On time employee reimbursements with complete transparency has been achieved 100%. We are feeling highly benefited by using the platform which Yugasa has done for us. I would personally recommend them for developing custom enterprise level applications.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Yugasa is highly professional and very clear in all their communication. We communicated over phone calls, Whatsapp, email and Zoom meetings. They managed the project on Google Doc Sheets and were always active in replying our queries. During launch of the project they were highly instrumental in implementing the new platform on our customer sites.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their capability, integrity, and proactive communication were impressive. The best thing I observed was their far sightedness while building a particular feature. They made things scalable to accommodate our mid way requirements.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
They charged us for writing the ‘Scope of Work’ document also. As per my understanding, we were finding few vendors who were ready to do that understanding with us free of cost. I raised this point infornt of them few times, but I am happy that my payment to Yugasa was fully justified.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am Key Accounts Manager at 47Billion, a US based hi-tech agency providing custom software solutions. I am responsible for Inside Sales, Client Acquisition, Project Deliveries and vendor development. I primarily look after Europe, USA, Canada & UAE markets.
For what projects/services did your company hire Yugasa Software Labs, and what were your goals?
We hired Yugasa for one of our Canadian clients who needed a challenging eCommerce web platform from us. Since our in-house team was preoccupied with other projects, we decided to outsource this whole assignment at a fixed price to Yugasa. Our goal was certainly to have the platform developed and delivered to our client’s satisfaction.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I knew the top management of Yugasa Software Labs myself. Since we were looking for a third party vendor to take over one of our prestigious works hence a trustworthy, proven tech partner was needed. We reached out to a few vendors through references and Yugasa was one of them. Their competency in eCommerce was remarkable.
Online shopping apps on Web, Android and iOS; they have done it all many times for various business domains. Their cost was also competitive and they took our load of understanding client requirements since the very beginning of our interaction with them. This was the time even before they got onboarded. Their dedication towards the work was a deciding factor for us to move with them.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
A high level information about the project which we got designed and developed from them is mentioned below. It is a web app for selling computer hardware, software licenses and IT gadgets from different brands and sellers.
The platform includes three user roles:
- Admin can add the products of different type: Simple, Configurable, Bundled, and Subscription. Multiple Payment methods were implemented. Platform intended to maintain sales reports, information about business inquiries, orders placed, Inventory status, rewards and coupons, active and inactive subscription plans, reports around users who have subscribed for monthly deliveries on the platform, category management, products management, Abandoned cart and many other similar features. Users can be sent invitations with referral codes, they can collect loyalty points which can be reimbursed by shopping special goodies on the app.
- Sellers have similar features like those of Admin with a limitation to have an access to their own inventory and customers only.
- Customers on the other hand can login, shop online, buy subscriptions, manage their profile, see their purchase history, cancel or repeat orders, track their purchase status etc.
There were multiple other features and it is difficult to narrate the whole scope here. We built the platform using technologies demanded by client himself. Those were Laravel, HTML, CSS, JS, MySQL. UI / UX was designed in Photoshop and Illustrator.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
A team of around 6 people from Yugasa worked on it for around 9 months. Post delivery support continued for a month or two after that. We had a:
- Sr. Backend Developer
- a Sr. frontend developer
- UI/UX Designer
- Software QA
- Project Manager
- Key Accounts Manager.
An additional Project Manager was deployed in the project from our company.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We have earned a client for years through Yugasa’s help. Our customer launched his product within time and could start marketing it also well in time. Glad to share that he reported that he is seeing good traction on his portal already. My company and I are thoroughly satisfied with team Yugasa and are discussing multiple newer business opportunities with them now.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
They were prompt in communication and managed the whole project on Google sheets. Every one had sufficient rights on the sheets to keep monitoring the project development progress. After the team started working on the project, all the functionalities and deliverables were assigned delivery dates and those were followed throughout, except few variations in the project beginning. The overall delivery was achieved a week ago indeed.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their commitment to delivering despite all eventualities was impressive and their being highly sensitive towards the project quality.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Yugasa deserves to start using good project management tools. They are grown up and mature enough for that. I understand that using freemium tools of Google Sheets or Clickup saves some money but using professional tools for project management can help them more.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am Founder Director of a 5 years old successful digital company SocialVive. We provide digital transformation services to our clients which include designing and development of web and mobile apps and doing SEO, SMM and Digital Marketing for our clients.
For what projects/services did your company hire Yugasa Software Labs, and what were your goals?
We were working on a challenging multivendor eCommerce web and mobile apps system for sports industry. Unlike a common marketplace, this platform involved a concept of Fit Coins. Users who would do exercise, walking, running using Google apps would earn fit coins in this app, which they could further spend in shopping on the platform either for the whole cart or for partial cart. The platform offered web, Android and iOS for customers and web app for vendors and Super Admin. There is a wallet for customers to keep it topped up with money for quick checkout.
While we are capable of making simple websites and easy hybrid apps ourselves, for doing complex projects we require tech companies to deliver complex projects. Our aim was to build a quality product for our client and that involved UI / UX designing of the apps and implementation of required functionalities in a scalable manner and then perform digital marketing for their brand to make them a complete success.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We found them through one of their social posts. It was a blog which showed in my LinkedIn feed. The article mentioned their experience in the eCommerce industry and mobile apps for online commerce. It was an impressive read and I contacted them through their website after reading that writeup. Their extensive existing portfolio in eCommerce web and mobile apps encouraged me to give them a serious thought. Yugasa was not the only company I was talking to for my tech needs.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
It was an eCommerce platform to be supported on web and mobile phones with multi vendor functionality, discount coupons, cart, checkout, fit coins, implementing Google Fit APIs and collecting data from Google Health Cloud to the app and generating coins out of those points and offering discounts on the cart using these coins. We started with giving a brief of the requirement and after enough confidence in Yugasa, we shared a detailed RFP to them. Yugasa estimated the project and after a few negotiations, we closed the deal with them.
They started with distributing the whole platform in smaller milestones of deliverables and by sharing an architectural diagram of the platform. We were informed about the preferred tech stack with reasons and then the designing and development was started inline with the milestones agreed. They used Laravel in the backend, HTML, CSS, JS in front end of the web apps and used Kotlin and SWIFT for Android and iOS respectively.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked with UI / UX designer Ashish, Project lead Dhananjay, a tester, an Android app developer, an iOS developer and a Laravel developer.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We could deliver the first phase of the project well in time. To test their capabilities, we started working with them for mobile apps only initially. Later we asked them to start working on a Web app also for the customers. They designed the UI of the app to the customer’s satisfaction and the future scalability has been kept into consideration. In time quality delivery, customer satisfaction and post delivery support could help us win customer’s confidence and win more business from them. The customer will soon start the next phase of the project.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
They were clear in their communication from day one. Communication over emails and weekly demos kept us informed about the progress updates. We were also watching the Milestones deliveries and were performing testing at our end along with the customer. On time delivery of the project reveals good project management.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Vendors go unresponsive at times. But unlike such service providers, Yugasa was active in their responses. Their proactive communication and tech consultancy added immense value to the project.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Being subject matter experts they should also suggest clients about OPEX so that he should know about his investment other than software development.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am now the Founder of a Digital Marketing agency based in Delhi NCR helping businesses to get online and generate higher revenues. I handled a prestigious position in a large corporate before starting my own venture.
For what projects/services did your company hire Yugasa Software Labs, and what were your goals?
We were working to implement digital transformation in my employer's company, for online sale of our different brands. Our work involved designing and developing of the website, integrating the website with POS on our different retail stores pan India, increasing lead generation, managing the leads, and increasing ROI through reducing investments in sales and supporting staff members.
Automating business communication over digital touchpoints was one of our targets and we aimed to introduce an omnichannel chatbot on their Whatsapp and Facebook Ads. We knew that this could uplift promising leads in our funnel.
Yugasa Bot seemed to be perfect for our requirement, as it is an NLP-based chatbot with multiple capabilities we needed like the facility to transfer the chat to a real agent as per the customer's need, Multilingual support, excellent integration with our newly developed e-commerce platform by yugasa and Hubspot in the backend. We were aiming to increase lead generation success rate and to reduce the pilferage of all kinds through automation thus resulting in higher RoI for our customers.
During discussions with multiple vendors, we discovered yugasa could help us build a custom e-commerce platform, as well as AI, an enabled chatbot. This was a unique proposition to have both our requirements fulfilled under one roof. The project finally involved designing and developing an eCommerce website, along with implementing an AI-enabled chatbot.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We found them through one of their online ads which pitched that they do simple websites to complex mobile apps and everything in between :) .
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
They handled the complete designing and development of the ecommerce portal, and AI chatbot integration over WhatsApp, and Hubspot. Their team understood our requirement very clearly and we got our website delivered within the expected deadline.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
My main point of contact was CTO, Mr. Shobhit. We had their project manager and head developer in all of our meetings with us. The team further comprised of a few junior developers, designers, and testers. Any time I had a concern or request, they were prompt and helpful in accommodating our changing needs. I also thank Mr. Dharmesh, who catered to our chatbot needs and requirements whenever needed without any hesitance.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Our conversion rate for potential customers rose from 60% to 84% with improved UI / UX of our new website and by using a chatbot on our digital touchpoints. These stats were captured by comparing conversion rates of six months of data before and after implementing the new work. Apart from increased lead generation, automating the customer support helped us to reduce our expenses on customer support activities by 20% - 25%.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We had bi-weekly meetings with yugasa and we established a very good bond with the team. They were willing to do some extra work to ensure that the final deliverable was what we needed. We used Microsoft teams and Zoho, and they used GSuite, however, we didn't face any communication gaps or deadline issues anytime during our projects.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their responsiveness and availability have been great. We had many amazing experiences working with them. We’re most impressed with their solution-oriented approach, they handle every setback with ease and speed. Their capabilities in building flawless IT products are really amazing. Another best part about them is their after-project delivery support, I was able to connect and get our issues resolved after the project completion as well.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
B2C startups and Consumer obsessed brands seeking IT solutions from a third party would always require 24x7 IT support post their launch. I would recommend Yugasa to enter into that segment as well. Performers like them are needed in this field.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am heading Indian operations for a Danish company which provides digital transformation services to its clients through its state of the art SaaS product or through designing and developing custom enterprise applications.
For what projects/services did your company hire Yugasa Software Labs, and what were your goals?
We needed an enterprise level SaaS based solution for a big conglomerate in the domain of Oil and Energy. The application was required to be built on web, Android and iOS for enabling automation of machine servicing in the manufacturing business.
Apart from Web Admin, we needed apps for
- Mobile Oil Distributors and Partners
- Service Engineers
- Factory Owners / End Customers
Lot of brain storming was required to ensure seamless automation for managing prescheduled machine maintenance and new machine maintenance requests. We hired Yugasa for designing and development of this complete platform which involved one Web Admin and Android & iOS apps for all the users roles of the platform.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We searched for appropriate tech partners in Ukrain, Vietnam and India. Yugasa was one of the options who qualified in top three selections on the basis of their project understanding and eagerness to work on the project. We kept budgets and communication skills as the next set of parameters to decide the final tech partner for us. Their past experience of working with Nordic clients was one of the biggest reasons for selecting Yugasa for our project.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
The platform was built using NodeJS in backend, Angular in Web Frontend. Mobile apps for were built Distributor and Service Engineers were done on Native (Kotlin and SWIFT) and app for the customers was for review basis and small and hence was done in Hybrid. We shared our requirements spec with Yugasa, which was a basic rough draft through our understanding from the client. Yugasa did a discover phase with us on paid basis. That resulted into a well established Requirement Spec. On approval from the client on Specs and Budgets, the team was deployed by Yugasa.
We kept weekly review meetings initially to monitor project progress. Tester wrote acceptance test cases which were approved by us. Whole project was broken into milestones and corresponding timelines. Agile methodology was followed to keep a watch on timelines and quality of the product. Every milestone was delivered and reviewed the work through functional test, integration testing and code review. On approval of every milestone, the next MS was started for newer development. Product ran under hyper - care for 2 months after delivery and is now under AMC with Yugasa.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
A team of Android Developer, iOS Developer, Hybrid App Developer, Backend and Frontend Developer, Tester, UI / UX designer and Project Manager together formed a team of 10 people. All of these were senior staff members with an experience range of 3 - 5 years.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We have a great product and a happy client with us with the help of Yugasa. They are doing an amazing job. Lot of Distributor Partners, Services Engineers and Factory Owners use the platform on daily basis for scheduling daily maintenance tasks. Yugasa also takes care of the servers, cloud and hosting and is responsible for new enhancements in the platform during AMC period.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Their proactive approach through out proved our decision just right. Not only the communication, but also their technical acumen and consultancy approach made them a perfect fit for us. We managed the project over JIRA and their documentation was very strong through out. Communication over email or during review meetings kept us informed through out our engagement with them.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their Technical competency, their strong communication. Their ability to find a mid-way to bottlenecks was remarkable.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
While we understand that software is all about abstract work, but I would recommend Yugasa to always keep buffer in their budgets. Their conservative estimates at times disturb the future budgets. But I am glad that they always found solutions to such situations whenever we encountered such necks.

Mobile App Development & UI/UX Design for Medical Tech Co
"We feel like we’re in good hands."

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the managing director at Bond Tech, a medical tech company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Yugasa Software Labs?
We needed someone to develop our mobile app.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Yugasa Software Labs has developed our Android mobile app; they've developed the second version of it, a more advanced version and competitive with iOS. We shared the requirement document with them and the wireframes on how our app would look and the user flow. They also built the backend and the UI/UX design and development.
Currently, they continue to help with enhancements for the product.
What is the team composition?
They started with three people for the requirement discussion, but it can grow to ten members depending on the task, including a project manager.
How did you come to work with Yugasa Software Labs?
We chose them because they’re in our same location, and they had the technical skills we needed. So far, we’ve been in touch with them for ten years, and we know their capabilities and experience.
How much have you invested with them?
We've spent $40,000 with them so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2018, and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The main success is their technical expertise in interfacing with our hardware, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi — that’s a real advantage they have. Additionally, our clients say that our product is easy to use and very informative; users don’t have to go to multiple menus to operate it because Yugasa Software Labs made it very straightforward and handy for our customers.
How did Yugasa Software Labs perform from a project management standpoint?
Due to COVID, there were some delays, but they usually deliver on time. Overall, we feel like we’re in good hands. In terms of communication, we use Google Meets, WhatsApp, and video calls. We also used to go to their office to give them our hardware to do testing.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re very responsive and available; I can call them at any time, and they always respond.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They can improve in maintaining their skills in terms of their workforce; some members are leaving the organization, and new ones are coming, so retaining the resources is one of the challenges they face.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be clear on your requirements and understand what you want to make.

Please describe your company and your position there.
We are a software development company providing custom IT solution to enable automation of all kinds in our clients' businesses. We do so by developing new software solution as per the client needs and deploying such solutions on premises or into Clouds basis the customer preferences.
Through BHT, we also provide necessary hardware to the clients and aim to deliver turnkey IT services. I am Mukesh Bansal, the founder of Bansal HiTech. I founded my business almost 20 years back and is serving the industry with newer solutions since then.
For what projects/services did your company hire Yugasa Software Labs, and what were your goals?
A large South Asian telecom company venturing into digital payments and O2O shopping required a turnkey solution of scalable mobile apps on Android and iOS and needed on premises hardware infrastructure to ensure total security.
Our objective was to partner with a potential software development company and arrange a robust, scalable software solution which could satisfy the expectations of our customer to their best, while we provide all the IT hardware to the customer in consultation with the software development company.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Finding Yugasa was not difficult. A simple Google Search helped my team contact them. But selecting a development partner for a large valued project like this definitely required more vigilance and checking. We talked to a couple of their existing customers and discovered them to be satisfied with their services.
Later we found one common referral contact also who had all praise for Yugasa and their competency. We then shared the requirements with their team and asked for their relevant experience.
This was a deciding factor for us that Yugasa had an excellent experience in developing an O2O platform in past and had worked on digital payments too in a different project. My team was not required to explain them too much about the project and they understood the requirements well in advance just through our basic introduction about the projects needs.
Team Yugasa worked aggressively for the next scheduled meeting. I was amazed by the document they had drafted for the first client meeting. Not only did they talk best about the client requirements but also enhanced the features right then in that meeting itself by sharing more possible features for better consumer experience.
While we were sure to work together even earlier also but this meeting was a confirmation that no one but Yugasa will work on this project with us.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We had multiple rounds of project discovery meetings with the client to finalise the project scope and define the phases and milestones of the whole project. While the software development was one very important factor, there were other multiple points to discuss and decide before hand around OPEX and Hardware infra.
Team Yugasa participated patiently into all discussions and added value during every meeting we had in those days.
A high level overview of the final scope of work which was finally worked on was developing mobile apps for Android and iOS enabling One to one chat Group Formation and moderating the groups file sharing in 1-2-1 chat and groups transferring payments through the app in 1-2-1 relationship Looking at transactions history (Debit and Credit of the money)
Searching for the local merchants for different commodities with in an area of 2 KMs Looking at offers and deals with on 2 KMs area of the user's current location Clicking on the deal to see deal details and following the path to reach to the outlet through Google Map
Paying the local merchant through the app A separate Merchant App on both Android and iOS where they would see their earnings and manage the offers. Merchants could also see the no. of consumers near their shop at any given time What all third party APIs were required and what would be the OPEX cost.
We also estimated the hardware costing for enabling the complete solution. There were multiple other features around the same After freezing the requirements and formalising the contract around payment schedules and everything else a skilled team from Yugasa was deployed to start designing and developing the apps.
There used to be 1 meeting per week for sharing the project progress week on week. Project as developed using Java and SWIFT for Android and iOS apps respectively and required NodeJS in the backend and APIs.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
A total of 11 members team worked on the project. This team comprised of Android Developers, iOS Developers, NodeJS developer, Graphic Designer, Software Tester, Project Manager. Experience of the team members ranged from 3 years to 9 years.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The project was done well in time and with in the assigned budgets. Client had a concern of IT agencies asking for Change Requests every now and then for even the obvious features too but after working with Yugasa, we as a client partner and end client both realised that there are companies who deliver more than commitment.
The client is using his existing app and is derailing his existing consumers to the newer version in beta phase and we have heard positive feedback from 90% beta users of the new version of the app.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Yugasa's pro active communication and excellent project management were the most important practices which helped us achieve success in delivering a quality project in set time and budgets. Right from the discovery phase to all mid deliveries milestone wise, their project management was simply excellent.
They did not follow much heavy tools to manage things. A detailed project plan in Google Doc sheet from the day one was what was followed religiously and worked best for us. Apart from this, their weekly demos (which turned into 2 demos per week in the last stages of the project deliveries) kept everything crystal clear till the end of the project.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their UI/UX sense, the consultancy approach and proactive communication impressed us the most. When we met them for the first time, they said during their introductory meeting, that they do not work like coding robots but act like consultants.
And that's exactly what we experienced with them. They acted like Devil's advocates at some times which resulted for us in taking right decisions at right time.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
While acting like Devil's advocate was a good thing but at times we feel that to be an overdo. Too much of paper work at their end in order to keep everything in B&W also pinched us a bit at times.

For what projects/services did your company hire Yugasa Software Labs, and what were your goals?
WE NEEDED COMPLETE IT SOLUTION TO ENABLE AUTOMATION IN OUR HOSPITALS. RIGHT FROM GOOD WORKING WEBSITE TO INVENTORY MANAGEMENT AND CRM, WE NEEDED ALL THIS TO MANAGE OUR MULTIPLE CLINICS TO BE MANAGED THROUGH A CENTERLISED IT SYSTEM. YUGASA DID ALL OF THIS FOR US AND IS NOW MANTAINING IT FOR US.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I got to know about Yugasa through a reference. My friend had all praise for them and introduced me to the founder of the company. We are basd out of same city in India and I found him convincing during his first consultation to me when Ashish told me how I was being exploited by my previous vendor.
Out that first meeting was the deciding factor too for me to give a try with them. We started with some fixes in our corporate website initially. They complete dedication for that small task gave us confidence around their capabilities and willingness to work.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
They are now mantianing and continuously developing newer features in our website, inventory management and CRM system. We are also planning to now deploy an AI enabled chatbot through them to automate communication with our patients through this chatbot. They understood my actual pain point and suggested us the immediate fixes to the urgent problems.
Yugasa has always been a consultant than just being another IT vendor. I am not sure about technologies though, but they are probably using PHP and HTML, CSS for all our work.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
1 Web Developer 1 Backend Developer 1 Graphic Designer 1 Tester
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
I have observed a saving of around 30% in our annual spending which includes our expedentiture earlier towards day to day operations management and mantainence of our previous investments in IT over all. With Chatbot in coming times, I expect my expense to further reduce in our support staff.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
They are super active in response. I never feel that I am not working with my own team. I get timely status reports, one weekly meeting to let me know the progress achieved in that last week. Timelines are compromised at times, but I am okay with that if I am getting quality delivery.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their consultancy and caring approach are impressive. They think through the lens of the customer and never let you feel that they are different from you. I appreciate their honesty and dedication to their work.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Not really. I throughly enjoy working with them and wish them a great success
Yugasa Software Labs improved the client's pipeline by 80% and freed up about 40% of the client's staff so they can work on other tasks. They paid attention to the client's needs and acted on them instead of showcasing their own skills.
