Custom Software Development for HR Services Company
"They've met my expectations and can self-manage themselves."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm an executive at an HR services company. We focus on building SaaS products.
What challenge were you trying to address with WTT Solutions?
We were looking to build all-connected, integrated, automated, efficient, and cost-effective software.
What was the scope of their involvement?
WTT Solutions is doing IT development for us. There are around four different products, ranging from 5–6 revenue streams that we are looking at. These elements work as microservices in the modules or microapp that we can bring down or keep up and running. They are all FRAME cloud-based products using a lot of different services that are available in the market.
We told them our requirements and tools, and we started defining sprints. We had detailed requirements for what the product should look like and designed things that we shared with them, like wireframes, mock-ups, and other things based on the product owner’s thought process and things like that. We also leveraged WTT Solutions for one of the assessment modules; we like their work, and I will give them another module in the upcoming days.
Currently, we have the project on hold due to some political issues they have going on in their country.
What is the team composition?
We've worked with project managers, consulting experts, developers, QA testers, and architects, but Serge (CEO) is my main point of contact.
How did you come to work with WTT Solutions?
We found them through Upwork. We went through the work they had done in the past, and we figured out that they could meet our needs.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in November 2021, and the work is still ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
There are checkpoints where we evaluate and review the work of each development team and the detailed set of requirements. If there is no clarity to the conditions, we let them work on it, but we define how the sprints are planned, and there are measures within the sprints that tell us whether the team is not going to meet our expectations.
Overall, they've been professional and ensured to meet our goals. I've been so happy with their work because they have a very good team, and I appreciate the things they do — we think they are very well aligned with our needs.
How did WTT Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?
I wanted them to run agile methodologies, and they have followed it pretty well — it's a complete scrum with sprint planning. We also have daily stand-ups, demos, retrospectives, and they have contributed to all of those. I had some great expectations and held the bar pretty high, which they've met.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I have worked with other teams from different regions, but Serge and the team are the most professional. They have a good understanding of the technology stack we're looking at from a cloud standpoint. Also, when we screened them and showed them the requirements, they could immediately connect the dots with their experience. It resonated well because we focus on high-end and cutting-edge technologies and don't look at traditional legacy infrastructures.
I was very happy to find a company where I don’t have to babysit and cover several areas with their work.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don't think there's anything they can improve on — they've met my expectations and can self-manage themselves.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
They come with so much expertise, and if the clients know their requirements and are running scrums, meetings, and statuses, I think it will be good. Even if you leave them to it, they will do it because they are self-sufficient.

Software Expansion for EdTech Platform Company
"The communication between their team and my team was exemplary."
the reviewer
the review
The client submitted this review online.
Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the COO/CPO of MuchSmarter, an American ed-tech platform designed to show students how to approach learning as a game that they can master--and enjoy!
For what projects/services did your company hire WTT Solutions, and what were your goals?
Our original platform was built to host only our first course, and we needed to expand our system to be able to host multiple courses (and all the material therein) at once.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
WTT actually reached out to us by cold email, and because we were having some difficulty finding the right fit during our own active search, we took a meeting with them. Their team took an in-depth look at what we were currently providing and gave us some excellent ideas on how to improve our site, rather than simply attempting to sell themselves as developers. It was a difference-maker. They instantly became our first choice for the project.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We provided them with an RFP in two stages--the first as a test case to give their developers an opportunity to familiarize themselves with our system (and work out the kinks in communication between our teams), and the second as the main bulk of our required work. They delivered our required code on our required platforms (NodeJS and AngularJS) on time and accurately.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We had a project manager as our main point of contact, as well as a lead developer whom I interacted with directly on several occasions. Sergey was also in contact over Slack as needed.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We are now able to provide multiple courses pointed at multiple nations' worth of students, with the same backend accessibility that our original developers gifted us with. We're very pleased.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Their project management was on point. When Victor (the project manager) or Dmytro (the developer) had questions, they asked me directly, and we were able to resolve any issues that came up with the work with relative ease. The only real complication in communications was the seven-hour time difference between Kyiv and New York, but using Slack to keep everyone informed and connected mitigated that nicely.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The communication between their team and my team was exemplary. Having a team full of confident idiomatic English-speakers halfway around the world made an enormous difference in my comfort level, particularly because my understanding of the technical/coding aspects is so limited. Not having to have my requests lose any accuracy in translation saved us a lot of time and headaches!
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I have no such complaints.

"They’re flexible and responsive, and they jump into the work right away."

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and CEO of ScrAppBook, a SaaS company.
What challenge were you trying to address with WTT Solutions?
We needed help with product and custom software development.
What was the scope of their involvement?
WTT Solutions has developed an online gallery software.
It’s a cloud-based storage site with several features. Photographers can upload their images and send a link to their customers. Then, customers can view the pictures, share them with friends, and download them. Also, there’s a shop functionality where the photographer’s customer can purchase physical goods, like wall art or prints.
We use JavaScript for the back and frontend, React in the frontend, Node.js in the backend, and Express and MongoDB.
What is the team composition?
We work with a frontend and a backend developer. We’ve also had a part-time product owner; they manage the developers, lay out some features, and create tasks.
How did you come to work with WTT Solutions?
Their CEO contacted me on Upwork when they saw our job posting. He showed me some of their work, which was great. Then, their developers got on a call with us.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $40,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in February 2021, and our relationship is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’re happy with the quality of their work. The feedback from our users is great. Overall, their service is a five-star rating.
How did WTT Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?
At the start of our contract, I did all the project management, and we worked with the product owner for 3–4 weeks.
Communication is excellent. We use Zoom and Jira, and they’re very responsive. We can reach out to the CEO and the developers directly on Slack.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re flexible and responsive, and they jump into the work right away. One time, I told the CEO that I needed more developers and he introduced me to some of them.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The development is swift, but sometimes it’s too fast. They should take more time to make sure everyone is on the same page. There have been some times when I’ve felt we should discuss more.

Mobile App Development for Educational Nonprofit
“They understood our needs and never wasted our time.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of a small social enterprise registered in the UK as a nonprofit community interest company. We’re mathematical scientists working in education and development. We do software development, data analysis, and research method support — pretty much the whole spectrum of the natural sciences.
What challenge were you trying to address with WTT Solutions?
We were building an app and we had an urgent deadline. Our team needed additional capacity to make sure we’d meet that deadline. As a result, we hire WTT to expand our capabilities.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We mostly needed WTT for frontend app development using JavaScript and Angular solutions. Our team worked on the backend infrastructure of the app, although the WTT team also had small contributions on that aspect. Overall, their task was to make sure that our frontend designs were implemented on time.
In terms of documentation, we already had an active code base, which was still under development. This necessitated some hand-holding as their team came up to speed on the way we were developing the app. Meanwhile, the app itself was intended for low-resource environments, so our main deployment was on Android. However, we intended to also release the app on iOS eventually.
Moreover, the system needed a flexible content authoring system. The no-code authored content would first be translated into JSON format, which would then be interpreted for the app’s display. WTT was in charge of implementing this component of the app. Their team also made choices on how the technologies they were using would help our frontend implementation.
What is the team composition?
Throughout the course of our interactions, we mainly worked with three people. Our team interfaced with two core people for much of the time and worked with one part-time teammate for less than a couple of months.
For context, we initially worked with one person from WTT. When there was more work than he could handle, we expanded the team and brought in a second developer. Later on, we went back down to one; the first developer left and the second one stayed. After that, another resource joined us to work part-time on specific tasks on the server for less than two months. Then, WTT expanded the team again and assigned another teammate on the app’s backend.
How did you come to work with WTT Solutions?
We interviewed many teams, and WTT was the best fit for us for broad reasons. First, they were straightforward in our interactions. Since they were a small team, they were straight to the point; we didn’t spend a long time going around in circles. On top of that, they took the time to look at our code before the initial interview. They explained to us what they understood and asked questions. In other words, they showed that they were genuinely interested in what we were doing.
Moreover, many of the other groups we interviewed were much bigger than WTT. Unlike those groups, WTT was comfortable with the fact that we only needed one or two people to add to our team. They were happy to give us a developer who could contribute to our project and integrate with our team quickly. Overall, hiring them was a smooth process.
By contrast, many of the other groups looked for something that was much more formal; they also let us interact with their salespeople who didn’t have any technical understanding of the project. As a result, it didn’t take time for us to realize that WTT was the perfect match for us.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around £26,000 (approximately $37,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
The partnership lasted from March–July 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Given that we had urgent deadlines, the fact that WTT filled the gaps in our capacity and helped us meet our deadlines was great. In other words, we received what we needed. Other teams didn’t know how to get up to speed quickly. By contrast, we had a truly straightforward relationship with WTT, and it worked out well.
How did WTT Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?
We were in charge of project management, and they fit right into the team; that was truly impressive. Our team assigned them tasks, and they did what we needed them to do. Most of the tasks were managed, viewed, and reviewed on GitHub.
In terms of admin load on our side, WTT was highly responsive. Unlike our experience in other subcontractors, we never had any difficulties with them. Moreover, they didn’t introduce any complications to the project. They understood our needs and never wasted our time, which was highly appreciated.
Much of our communication also happened on GitHub. On top of that, we had daily quick check-in meetings with the developers. On the admin side, we used emails and quick calls to sort out any and all issues.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The best part of working with WTT was how simple and straightforward it was to collaborate with them.
Are there any areas they could improve?
At one point, there was an opportunity for WTT to step into a bigger role in the project. However, they didn’t have the right person for it. Meanwhile, if I had things differently, I’d have kept the first developer that they assigned to us. From my perspective, the first developer was better than the second one.
That being said, these were minor issues. The difference between the two developers wasn’t substantial enough to be a big issue. In addition, we still had the manpower we needed, and they ensured that our needs were met.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make the communication clear and straightforward. Be clear in your communication because the WTT team takes time to look at what you send them. They’re a pleasure to work with, and they exert effort in understanding your needs. If you communicate with them clearly, they’ll do the same.

The client submitted this review online.
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the founder and CEO of Lynxit LLC. We are a company that is looking to create a new type of affordable and accessible digital marketing platform.
For what projects/services did your company hire WTT Solutions, and what were your goals?
We hired WTT Solutions for our mobile development and high-fidelity front-end design screens.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
They came highly recommended to us. After we met with the CEO and a few key developers we asked them if they used the node.js framework and Flutter sdk, they did use those and so we went with them.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We meet every Tuesday and Thursday to discuss the features of the app being coded in the following week to make sure my vision for the app matches the efforts they are putting into its development. They have excellent communication with our team through slack or zoom.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
My main interaction is with the senior software developer. We would also meet up with the main screen designer to make quick screen improvements.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
I initially hired another design company here in the states to create the high-fidelity screens of the app, but they were so slow and put me on the backburner. For example they would take 2 weeks to create 10 new screens. Switching to WTT Solutions graphic designer was the best decision. They crank out 10 new screens a day and make screen adjustments overnight. I am very happy with their graphic designer.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
As noted before, we meet two times a week and use zoom and slack from day to day. Im very happy with their communication.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their work ethic is most impressive. I have access to the Figma page that lists every user looking at the page. Exactly at the beginning of their workday all the developers are working on the page together. They do not drag their feet getting started or working till the end of the day.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
No improvments I can think of.

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a co-founder and the acting CEO of an ed-tech startup.
What challenge were you trying to address with WTT Solutions?
Our goal was to develop a custom platform with marketplace insights for college students and prospective students.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We provided the UI/UX design for a responsive web platform and they developed the front- and backend.
Search data is split between customers and providers so customers can find the right providers based on the data they entered. The results then appear based on the data that was entered in the search and hierarchy. Customers and providers can also create and share their own itineraries.
We also have a custom calendar and a platform for training videos. In addition to implementing a tracking solution to monitor how many videos are being watched, they added a Twilio integration for video communication.
Finally, they developed integrations for different payment methods on the backend.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked with the CEO, a project manager, a business analyst, one backend and two frontend developers, and a QA tester.
How did you come to work with WTT Solutions?
A friend of mine in the digital gaming industry recommended WTT Solutions to me. They stood out from other providers for several reasons: they were timely, professional, and attentive.
They listened to us and were able to tailor the solution to fit our goals. They provided a timeline and detailed budget, which made us feel that we could trust them.
It was clear that their CEO actually had a background in software engineering and a wealth of experience. Unlike other providers, I felt like he could offer deep and thoughtful solutions when needed.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent a little more than $60,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with WTT Solutions in September 2020 and the partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’re launching the product in a couple of weeks. We tested a pilot with 16 students and 16 prospective students, and the feedback across the board was extremely positive. Although a few things didn’t work properly, WTT Solutions came up with a few revisions that we’re looking to implement.
How did WTT Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?
The project management was great. I met with them every morning, and they went over the status of each item on their to-do list. They give me updates either through Jira or Google Docs.
Occasionally, the language barrier made it difficult to communicate what we wanted, but they eventually understood what we were looking for. If anything, I liked that they were diverse and provided a different perspective.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Unlike other providers we’ve worked with, WTT Solutions paid attention to details. Most of their first iterations were very close to our intended designs. Consequentially, we didn’t have to do a ton of revisions in the QA phase.
I greatly enjoyed working with them. The team is smart, creative, nice, calm, and professional, and they are problem solvers.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I want to be involved in every little detail, but that’s just because we’re a new company and I want to make sure that everything works well.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
I’d recommend new clients check in with them daily and provide the UX design and content early on in the process. We were planning to do this, but it took longer than expected to provide visual designs and content. That’s something we could’ve done better on our end.

Custom Portal Dev for Healthcare Analytics Company

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the CEO of a Healthcare Analytics company headquartered in Livonia, Michigan. Our company is a startup that serves the Primary Care Physicians and Practices in the US.
For what projects/services did your company hire WTT Solutions?
We wanted to build a portal that allows our users to access analytics and dashboards through a secure way and our environment is hosted on AWS. We needed expertise to help us embed dashboards into our portal.
The challenge was to be able to bring together the infrastructure for building and deploying the front end and back end that is secure and protected. As with any startups we are limited in resources and needed the help to build and deploy in a very tight timeline.
What were your goals for this project?
We wanted to deploy the solution faster that allows our users flexibility to be able to access the platform from anywhere. We wanted to open our platform to small to mid-sized practices in order to help practices leverage analytics at an affordable price.
How did you select WTT Solutions?
My team searched online for full stack developers and given the urgency of the project we need somebody we could trust and also know that they can deliver.
We were impressed by Serge’s commitment to quality and Serge spent significant amount of time with us to get a better sense of the requirements and also made recommendations based on our deliverables. We were impressed by the time Serge was willing to commit to better understand the requirements.
WTT Solutions went above and beyond to deliver us the POC. Our biggest concern was around embedding the dashboards and WTT Solutions even delivered the POC with a test dashboard we built.
Describe the project in detail.
Once we select WTT Solutions as a vendor, we met with the delivery team and every one of them were professionals and hungry to deliver on their commitment. The entire WTT Team has been really efficient in providing solutions and delivering them on time and mostly on budget.
WTT Team raised clear expectations around what was due, what was at risk and why and they continue to provide great support and the engagement has been really critical for the success of our project.
What was the team composition?
We were assigned a project manager to support and is the main point of contact. We are able to meet with the entire team when necessary. We were assigned a front end developer and a back end developer.
The PM continues to provide us an update every week with the status, hours spent and where the variances are and the drivers that is affecting the timeline or the estimate.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Within 3-4 months we have been able to launch the beta platform for our users and we are planning an official launch in mid January. The feedback from the beta users have been mostly positive and we continue to add enhancements to ensure that our platform is intuitive and easy to navigate.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We receive an update every week from the PM that provides details around the tasks. They remind us if there are open items that they need a response from us. They stay on top of things and we know exactly what the status of each task is every week.
If and when needed, WTT Team is available to jump on a call to address any issues or concerns.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
We were really impressed by the knowledge of Serge and his team, their focus on quality of delivery. They are a true partner and they want us to succeed and I believe this is what separates them from the other vendors we reviewed.
They are honest and communicate effectively and just like all partnerships they are able to provide honest feedback and recommendations when they see risks in something we want to deploy. They are prompt and very professional.
Are there any areas for improvement?
can provide an update when we see that there are areas of improvement. I do not see one right now.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am a Engineering manager at a Marketing agency.
For what projects/services did your company hire WTT Solutions, and what were your goals?
I needed 3 websites built. They are all the same website, but I needed the website built in Angular, Vue and React. WTT solutions was able to quickly and gracefully take on this task for me.
How did you select WTT Solutions and what were the deciding factors?
WTT Solutions stood out immediately because they have excellent reviews and track record and the talent to tackle all three of my projects. I did not have to hire multiple contractors to take on the task.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
I supplied WTT solutions with static HTML/CSS/JS markup and they were able to build the websites for me from that markup.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
I mainly worked with 1 person, his name is Serhii and it was a pleasure to work with him.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
These are demo sites, so there are no metrics to measure at the moment.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
We communicated through upwork and github. Serhii was always available to answer scoping questions or anything else.

The quality and timeliness of the work were most impressive.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Not that I can think of.
WTT Solutions' professionalism and solid team have been key to meeting the client's expectations. Their ability to adapt to SCRUM methodologies and communicative approach ensure great project management. The team also praises their broad knowledge and areas of expertise.
