Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Director of Marketing and Communications for an eCommerce order fulfillment company. We pick, pack, and ship online orders on behalf of major retailers and brands in the fashion, footwear, beauty, CPG, and jewelry industries.
For what projects/services did your company hire WrightIMC, and what were your goals?
We hired Wright IMC to help us with our SEO and Paid Search campaigns. Our team had limited knowledge of SEO concepts, and needed an expert in the field who could help us navigate how to improve our organic search rankings. Everything from how to set everything up technically, as well as the strategy for content creation. We also were fairly new to PPC campaigns, and needed help with full execution and strategy.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
This was a local vendor (down the street from us) that we actually heard about on the radio. After the initial call, I was impressed with the website audit that the founder conducted and sent to me. It included a lot of insight that we did not have. I also liked the flexibility they have with their contracts. I'm able to use whatever services they have in a given month as long as it's within my hours allotment.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and campaigns.
We began with a full site audit that came with technical and content recommendations. We completed those as well as set up the PPC campaigns. One of the recommendations was to sunset our UK site due to low traffic and content that was not different enough. We are working through this plan as well as an overall site re-structure to ensure we are optimizing our site to the best of our ability. We also did a major site re-direct when we sold a portion of our business and consolidated it into 1 global website.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We typically work with 2-3 ongoing. Our main account manager (who is the SEO expert), a PPC lead, and 1 additional support person. Others depending on the expertise are brought in as needed (content, implementation, etc.).
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
I cannot share specifics, but the recommendation plan that was given for the redirects allowed everything to run smoothly when we shut down the original website. PPC campaigns continue to outperform our previous provider, and we can more easily tweak the campaigns as needed.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Very collaborative. Very insightful. They are clearly experts and will give their opinion, but also listen to us when we explain business challenges that might prevent us from doing things exactly as they recommend.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They are a team of friendly experts who want to help us succeed one step at a time. That's a good summary.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
None come to mind

Please describe your company and your position there.
I own Optimus Business Plans LLC. We write business plans for startup or existing companies, primarily for the purposes of seeking capital.
For what projects/services did your company hire WrightIMC, and what were your goals?
We struggled with other companies to property manage our PPC campaigns, which have proven to be best in our industry at attracting the right clients. It's an expensive industry to market in, and we needed a company to get creative, evaluate what worked and what didn't, and develop a strategy to drive traffic to the site at a reasonable cost.
How did you select WrightIMC and what were the deciding factors?
I interviewed several companies and reviewed a number of proposals. I had a close contact at WrightIMC and it just seemed like the best fit to help us achieve our goals.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and campaigns.
We started with a kickoff meeting to better understand our company and where we were trying to go. We talked a lot about the competitors, what they did well and didn't do well, and how we could separate ourselves from these competitors.
Then, we went to work on the website. WrightIMC did a total re-design of the site to bring it up to the proper level of professionalism. We worked together to develop content, and their insight into specific terminology that drives buying decisions was very helpful. We then moved to the PPC strategy, which we are still tweaking to this day!
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We have worked with a couple of team members during the site re-design. Today, we primarily work with David. His knowledge about maximizing PPC campaigns has been invaluable to us.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
When the pandemic hit, we lost about 80% of our business overnight. We met and regrouped and adjusted our strategy to focus primarily on new business owners. Since that point, our marketing spend is down 50% and our sales are up YOY. 2020 is on pace to be our most profitable year in business, an impressive feat considering the nature of small businesses right now.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
David and I have planned communication to review specific numbers twice per month. If I ever need anything in between, he's just an email away. He always addresses any questions or concerns I have and gets back to me quickly. We have never had any communication concerns with this company.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The communication is ideal. If I send an email asking a question, I expect a timely response from a vendor. I always get that here.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We have been working constantly to drive down our marketing spend. We are at a great place now (of course, we can always do better!), and my biggest regret is that I wish we could have gotten there sooner.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the president of Number 1 Auto Transport, a nationwide car shipping company.
What challenge were you trying to address with WrightIMC?
We get most of our customers through Google search, so ranking highly was our primary goal.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We had an outdated website that was done on PHP. It was hard to make changes, and we felt we were better off switching over to WordPress. We had them rebuild our entire site from scratch and convert over to WordPress.
I showed them a couple of examples of sites we did and didn't like, and we went from there. They built it and then we made modifications. It is a team effort to build a website.
They've also done keyword research and figured out which keywords to go after. They create content, help with backlinks, and they help with SEO strategies.
What is the team composition?
They had a team of seven people but John (Principal) is my go-to guy.
How did you come to work with WrightIMC?
Originally when I was doing research to find an SEO company, I went to Moz and they had a list of companies they recommend. I went down the entire list until I found a couple based on the description. I had a call with a couple of companies, and I knew what I wanted to look for.
How much have you invested in them?
I have spent around $50,000 over the two years.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started in January 2018, and I am still working with them daily.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Organic traffic has increased by 266% and overall traffic has increased by 90% in the two years since we've worked with WrightIMC. Our organic goals have increased by 233% as well. As a result, we were added to the Inc. 5000 list.
We've received feedback that the site is very easy to use and straight to the point. Consequentially, people don’t get lost on the page and it's easy to find information. People come to our website and find the exact information they need.
Users are able to easily get a quote, or they will just call us directly. When they come to the site, they usually put their information in right away and someone from my company is able to call them back within seconds.
How did WrightIMC perform from a project management standpoint?
I talk with them on a daily basis and it is almost like we work together. Communication is everything. They explain everything and are willing to tell us anything we want to know.
I am very hands-on because I've realized that I will get better results if I am more involved. They're very accomodating to that need as well.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They always meet goals and always do what they say they will. I never have to double-check that things are done. They won’t be done the exact second that I email them, obviously, but they've never forgotten anything. It always gets done in a timely manner.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Not really. I'm very happy with their service.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Ask as many questions as possible so you understand the process. People who don’t understand the process might not know where things are going. Ask about the process so you know what to expect. The more you are involved in the process, the more you will like the outcome.

Web Dev & SEO for Swim School
"Their team was always honest and cared about the success of our business rather than just making money."

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the general manager and co-founder of Jim Montgomery Swim School.
What challenges were you trying to address with WrightIMC?
We used WrightIMC to get our website launched and to help with SEO as we started our business.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They built the whole website and optimized it for SEO. They also integrated the software that we use to make bookings so our customers could make reservations for lessons online. They used WordPress.
They set up Google Analytics and showed us how to track what was being searched so we could better target our audience.
What is the team composition?
There were three people that we worked with. John (Principal) was our main point of contact, but we also worked with someone that did graphics, and another teammate that managed the layout of the site.
How did you come to work with WrightIMC?
We found them through an online search of companies local to us. We interviewed three vendors in person, and we felt like they understood our vision the best.
How much have you invested in them?
I think we spent around $40,000 in total.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in October 2015. Our business opened in January 2016. We finished the development aspect of our engagement, but they still provide maintenance and hosting services.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
When we first opened, the traffic on our website went up based on the strategies that they implemented. Our business has grown tremendously since we opened, and that is in part due to the work of WrightIMC. We started with seven students, and now we have 1,200–1,400 students each week.
How did WrightIMC perform from a project management standpoint?
They do a great job and keep us informed. If I want something changed, they’re very accommodating. We had in-person meetings, and also communicated over the phone and via email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They do well with clients that aren’t technologically savvy. They were friendly and explained things in layperson’s terms. Their team was always honest and cared about the success of our business rather than just making money.
They also had a quick turnaround time which we really appreciated as a small business because it gave us a competitive advantage.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Organizationally, they could make their progress more clear by using a project management tool where they can track all the tasks they’ve done.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make sure that you know what you want and what your vision is for your company. We went in and didn’t know what we wanted. WrightIMC was helpful, but the project would’ve been even easier if our ideas were better flushed out.

Please describe your company and your position there.
VP of Sales for a semi trailer and container leasing company in the Texas market.
For what projects/services did your company hire WrightIMC?
We hired WrightIMC to take to redevelop our website, and focus on building our organic search presence.
What were your goals for this project?
To stop paying a large amount of money on Google Adwords, develop our local search presence, and increase our organice search ranking.
How did you select this vendor?
Tony was a friend of mine from high school. I'd seen his posts on Facebook, and found his posts to be knowledgeable concerning internet advertising.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
Took back our website from Dex media. Redeveloped it and gave us complete ownership. Created our local search listings. Improved our organic search ranking.
What was the team composition?
We dealt directly with John Confer who is one of the principals of the company. He then deployed his team accordingly to manage our site.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
We've been able to save a ton of money while not decreasing our website traffic by a significant amount.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
John had monthly calls that kept us up to date on the progress.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
They were extremely responsive to all of our needs. Having the a direct point of contact that is one of the owners of the company allowed us to move fast.
Are there any areas for improvement?
We did struggle a bit to duplicate market success in other markets. That being said, that was also the case for our very expensive PPC campaign we had before. So may have just been due to market factors more than anything else.

SEO Services for Tea Subscription Service
"They put together a package that handled our needs, on a scale that we could put to full use."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
We are a direct-to-consumer tea service. I'm one of the founders.
What challenge were you trying to address with WrightIMC?
We were looking to get our SEO in order. We were doing a pretty good job, internally, at following best practices. We hired WrightIMC to take care of it in a more professional manner.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The first step with them was getting our site up to best practices within the SEO industry. There were a lot of behind the scenes cleaning up, in terms of where we were hosting the content, the site speed, and all of the elements that go with that. They also did a light brush up on copywriting and content. We wanted thought leadership from them, since we didn't have the knowledge to do it properly. We also wanted very clear and concise reporting, so that we could look at the information and understand it. Finally, we do a little bit of PPC, and they're leading the way with that.
What is the team composition?
I work with three different people from their team including an account lead, someone who handles the website changes, and a PPC contact. We also have a separate later of 4-6 people working on development.
How did you come to work with WrightIMC?
We went to an SEO referral site and we narrowed down their referrals to the best 10 that fit the size of our company and the size of our needs. After doing interviews, WrightIMC ended up being the right fit.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working together in March 2019, and our engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They're great. We went from asking them to do one blog every other week, to four blogs a week. Another KPI we've been looking at is traffic; we have 37.6 times more traffic.
How did WrightIMC perform from a project management standpoint?
Their reporting and communication have been excellent. The team has been very responsive and the leadership of the company has been very available, in light of everything that's been going on. We used Slack, Asana, phone, and email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The biggest reason we were able to work with them is because they were able to offer a package that was small enough to fit our budget. A lot of the companies we were looking at were on the scale of enterprise size companies, and we're not that. They put together a package that handled our needs, on a scale that we could put to full use.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, nothing I could say right now. As a caveat, we do have a new, more challenging phase of work coming up soon.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
A good description of your company's internal assets is crucial. It's important for them to know what they're working with. Make sure you know what you have available to you and what you can provide.

Digital Marketing Campaign for Baptist University
"The team has deep expertise. We rely on them for implementation, as well as their feedback and advice."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the digital marketing manager for Hardin-Simmons University, a liberal arts university in Abilene, Texas. We have online programs and as well as a physical campus, and we're affiliated with the Texas Baptist Convention.
What challenge were you trying to address with WrightIMC?
The university got a new administration about two years ago. Before the new president and other administrators came on board, we’d not undertaken any sort of advertising or marketing campaigns. The new marketing manager realized that we needed to do some digital advertising in order to meet our goals for the number of applicants.
What was the scope of their involvement?
WrightIMC was engaged to implement and manage various digital campaigns. These include: video advertising on Facebook and YouTube, retargeting, PPC, search engine marketing on Google and Bing, and display advertising. The engagement is set up as a strategic consulting agreement, which means we have access to any of the services they offer. We have recently engaged them for SEO as well. We’re about to launch a new website, so they'll be helping us with the optimization of the new WordPress site.
The goal for all of the campaigns is to create the lead funnel for applicants. We hadn’t done much previously to set the strategy. WrightIMC helped us identify our target market, which is 16–18 year olds. As minors, there are rules to protect them from being targeted in advertising. There are some avenues available for us as a legitimate higher education institution. WrightIMC helps us set the strategy, target the right people, and implement the digital campaigns across the various platforms.
What is the team composition?
We work with the PPC and digital advertising manager, as well as an SEO specialist. We’re also directly in contact with the CEO.
How did you come to work with WrightIMC?
Some of our new administrators had worked with WrightIMC in the past. The principal at WrightIMC attended a Christian university, so it was a good fit with both their background and capabilities.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project began in August 2016 and work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The freshman class for 2017–2018 was about 20% larger than the class from 2016–2017. We're on pace for the same increase for 2018–19. So we’re expecting an increase of 20% year over year, after an initial 20% year over year increase. WrightIMC had a lot of influence on that, as did our Admissions/Enrollment team, which does our email marketing and recruiting.
How did WrightIMC perform from a project management standpoint?
They work very closely with me on a weekly basis to monitor and report on our campaigns. They’re quick to implement any of our requests. They make any necessary changes very quickly, and that's important to us. We like to change our campaigns frequently to stay fresh. They’re great; there's nothing to complain about.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The team has deep expertise. We rely on them for implementation, as well as their feedback and advice. They provide a really good value. We’d have to pay a lot more to get something significantly better. If we paid any less, we wouldn't be getting the kind of expertise and service that we require.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Please describe your company.
Our Law firm is located in Lewisville, Texas. We do have other offices around the Metroplex. We’ve been in business for more than 30 years.
What is your role and responsibilities?
I’m the accounting manager and office manager.
What was your goal for working with WrightIMC?
We hired them to do our SEO [search engine optimization] work, as well a little bit of PR [public relations] work, just to keep the law firm up in organic and PPC [pay-per-click] ranks. We also had them do a brand new website for us.
Please describe the scope of their work.
It was a combined effort to design the website. We had an idea of what we wanted the website to look like, but actually had designers that put everything together and made some suggestions.
What was your process for selecting WrightIMC with which to work?
We interviewed several different SEO companies and Wright was one of the ones that we interviewed. We had it narrowed down to three. A lot of our decision was based on the meetings we’ve had with the different SEO companies, reputation, and what they said they could do. It has been proven that they were the correct choice.
Can you provide a ballpark dollar figure for the size of the work that they’ve done for you?
They are a big portion of our advertising budget. I don’t know how many hours they work because it’s an agreed flat fee, but they have never done anything that they dropped the ball on where we had to go back and fix things. We’ve been very satisfied with them.
What were the results of the project?
The work is ongoing so there aren’t final results available. However, it has been a positive engagement.
Do you have any statistics or metrics to track improvement from the project?
We have seen an increase in visits to our website and in phone calls. The majority of our clients are referrals or past clients, so it’s hard to measure the financial affects of their SEO efforts. I would say maybe a fourth of the new clients come from the online marketing campaigns.
Is there anything unique or special about them that really makes them stand out, compared to other companies?
We’ve dealt with other SEO companies in the past. Something I have noticed, besides having a specific contact, they actually do have teams assigned to our account, so we’re always working with the exact same people. Anytime we’ve had to make a change, they have done it instantaneously especially if it was something broken or a bad link, it would be fixed within just a few hours. Their response has made them stand out more than some of the other SEO companies we hired in the past.
Looking back on the work so far, is there any area that you think they could improve upon or something that you might do differently?
No. Not really. They’ve been one of the easiest vendors to work within the last few years.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Please describe your company.
We’re a design build farm.
What is your role and responsibilities?
I am the owner.
What was your goal for working with WrightIMC?
We were looking at getting aggressive with our marketing. We used to do a lot of newspaper ads and did a couple of publications, but felt like we needed to gain a presence on the Internet, so we started working with them. We actually looked at a few other SEO [search engine optimization] companies before, but ended up meeting them at a network marketing meeting and got to know them for a period of eight months. We have been with them for nearly three years.
Please describe the scope of their work.
We’re doing both organic SEO work and paid advertising online. There’s a monthly retainer. Part of it goes to SEO, and the other part goes to pay them. They’ve been real instrumental in helping us gain a presence. They redid our website and worked with us as far as the gallery and a little social media marketing. If you look our website, the pages that get the most hits are the galleries.
We do landscaping and concrete work, so pictures sell. We require monthly meetings with them to see what’s working and what’s not working. As president of the company, I was getting all the phone calls, so I knew what kind of traffic we were getting. We required their help with the analytics, where we can track our calls. We have different phone numbers and different Web addresses for different campaigns. If we think we want to try something, they’ll tell me why we should and why we shouldn’t. The ultimate decision is mine, but we have a good working relationship.
What was your process for selecting WrightIMC with which to work?
I met them at a SEO marketing meeting and engaged them eight months later. Their CEO spoke one day about back links and I just enjoyed listening to him. I called him and we met him. We didn’t jump right in with him immediately. The main reason was because I had dealt with three other SEO companies before. There’s so many people doing this and everyone thinks that they’ve got a magic formula and are experts.
I came to realize after spending a lot of money with other companies, there are a lot of companies that don’t know what they’re doing. They’re dabbing in it, and they’ve learned one or two tricks and they stick with it, but it doesn’t get around all the bases. We talked to them about a lot of different things for eight months and finally decided to engage, and I’ve not looked at doing work with other agencies because I’m happy. If there were ever a time that I wasn’t happy about something, then I’d just let him know. The big thing is communication and I think that monthly meeting helps a lot.
Can you provide a ballpark dollar figure for the size of the work that they’ve done for you?
The total spend for our work with WrightIMC is more than $200,000.
Do you have any statistics or metrics you can share about the success of the project?
They’ve been real successful. We spent a lot of money with them last year and the other marketing we have done through high-end publications, which has contributed to about 92 percent of our sales of a total of about $3 million last year.
Is there anything unique about them that really makes them stand out, compared to other companies?
I think that Tony [Wright, CEO of WrightIMC] has surrounded himself with individuals with talents in their specific areas. We usually have one person that we meet with, but we may have two or three other people that come to the meeting dependent on what we’re doing. I think it’s good that they have a lot of in-house people that they’re actually utilizing. They know our business, which was important to me before we decided to engage them. I told them that I needed somebody that really understood our business. I think they’ve learned the industry pretty well and what we’re really trying to accomplish.
Looking back on the work so far, is there any area that you think they could improve upon or something that you might do differently?
For the first 18 months of the engagement, I felt like we got lots of attention, but I think that they’ve grown like our company and everyone else. I loved that attention, and they’re still giving it to me, but I felt it more at the beginning of the engagement.
At first, they were all over our projects and that felt good, they had that vested interest in a small company like ours. They still care about our business and helping us grow, but it’s not quite the same as a couple of years ago. I don’t have any issues with it because it doesn’t affect the quality of work.
