Web Development for Manufacturing Company
"I felt like our website and our company was a priority, we weren't just another task to complete."

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the office manager of a Manufacturing company located in Northern California. We manufacture truck accessories and agriculture machinery.
For what projects/services did your company hire WP Pals?
We needed a listing directory put on our website. We have received lots of calls from customers trying to find where they can purchase our products locally to them, so we want our customers to be able to find the information they need without having to call us.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Well, we had hired another company to do a listing directory for us on our website and do some updating. After 6 months of failing to complete the project, I was looking for another company to take over. I think I posted about it online and Gerald and a few other people from other companies reached out. After talking to several different people, we felt confident Gerald was able to do the one job we needed in a timely manner at fair price without trying to get us to do more than we wanted.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
This was a fairly simple project. Gerald sent me over a listing directory he had done for another website, that was exactly what we're looking for. I gave him all the necessary information for him he needed and then he put it together. Let me give the final okay and the page then went live.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We only worked with one, Gerald.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The website looks great, and Gerald was very easy to work with. We have had customers call and say that they like being about to use the listing directory and how easy it is for them to navigate it.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Gerald was very easy to communicate with. I felt bad because I had taken a long vacation while he was working on it, so I wasn't able to get back to him right away and he was mostly waiting around on me to get him what he needed.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I am mostly blown away by the response time from Gerald. I ask a question and I get an answer quickly. Like I said we had an issue with the other website company we hired, and I couldn't get responses for weeks sometimes. I felt like our website and our company was a priority, we weren't just another task to complete. We like what the company has done so much so I have fired the other company and am working with Gerald to have WP Pals host our website and help complete the other things the last company couldn't deliver on.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
No, I think it went great.

I gave the company several car wash sites who were effective in their market. I also provided the team with a style guide and other guiding factors. Once I the mock-up was complete, we mediated the content through email, text and Google docs. After completion, I had an exit interview with one of the founders of the company.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I’m the founder & CEO of Truesage, a stress reduction, mental and emotional health, and wellness company for businesses that want to offer specialized help for their employees.
What challenge were you trying to address with WP Pals?
I have had a number of websites over the years, but I have been focusing on growing Truesage’s site because of our strategic partnerships with large companies all around the world. Having a top-notch website became very important to me, especially during the pandemic, because most of our work was being done online.
I needed a company that could build and maintain a simple, easy-to-use website for me.
What was the scope of their involvement?
WP Pals has built a custom WordPress website for us from scratch. The site allows us to reach employers and help their employees with specialized services that fit their unique needs and features all of the assessments, scoring, reports, and individualized training programs that our company offers.
As my company has grown during the pandemic, WP Pals has had to adjust and grow the site by adding more courses, books, features, webinars, and even an accompanying mobile app. The most difficult part has been to choreograph and execute my ongoing evolutions; every couple of months, WP Pals has helped implement more and more features into the site to keep up with our customers’ needs.
WP Pals is also responsible for maintaining the site.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked with a number of project managers. Designers, creators, and coders from WP Pals.

How did WP Pals perform from a project management standpoint?
WP Pals has performed incredibly well in terms of project management. I've worked with a lot of development companies, and so far, they're the best I've ever worked with.
We typically communicate through email and phone calls.
What did you find most impressive about them?
WP Pals is very responsive and can work at a fast pace, which we oftentimes need to do.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I have no complaints. If we have a problem or an issue, we always seem to be able to resolve it really quickly.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Stay in communication with them, and you won’t have any issues.

Are there any areas they could improve?
Our communication was a bit hard to understand at times.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Have a list of everything that you want done and send that list to your resource so they’re aware. They got back to me with a price after I sent the list and it was very helpful in figuring out my budget.

They’ve performed well. We communicate via email and text message.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their price is very reasonable, and they’re really committed to customizing the site according to what I want. Instead of telling me what they can do, they listen to what I want to see.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There’s always room for improvement. Perhaps they can add more animations to the web design.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Know what you want and have a thorough conversation with their team.

Web Development & Design for Byproduct Materials Company
"They resolved any issue quickly and were accommodating and flexible."

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder of Byproduct Connect. We’re a closed-loop marketplace for byproduct materials; we take materials from one manufacturing facility and find a market for them. We’re a small company with less than five employees. Right now, we’re feeling out our direction.
What challenge were you trying to address with WPPals?
We wanted to get our website up and running. We already had the bones of the site, but there were a lot of frustrating issues with WordPress and the setup.
What was the scope of their involvement?
WPPals helped us make the adjustments we needed and completed the DreamHost site. They also helped us with design and some of the other certificates we needed to ensure the website wasn’t encrypted or anything along those lines. The website was simple; it included services, about us, and contact pages. Its main purpose was to list our services and allow customers to reach out to us.
After they completed the initial services, there were some issues. WPPals stepped in and adjusted the code to help us out again.
What is the team composition?
We worked with Aaron (WordPress Consultant), the owner. He wasn’t performing the actual services, but he relayed what we wanted. We spoke to the team members once or twice.
How did you come to work with WPPals?
I made a post, and a friend shared it. A couple of different people replied to it. WPPals seemed like a good fit based on our initial reviews, so we gave them a shot.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent about $800.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in January 2022, and they completed the website work in April 2022. We haven’t ended the relationship, but we don’t need more work at the time. In the near future, we’ll look to get WPPals’ help to develop the site into an online marketplace.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We just needed to accomplish a couple of tasks, and they did what we listed out.
How did WPPals perform from a project management standpoint?
Communication was great. We couldn’t meet in person, but they were always very communicative and timely. They resolved any issue quickly and were accommodating and flexible.
We used email and Facebook Messenger to communicate. We started chatting through Facebook with the original point of contact.
What did you find most impressive about them?
After their affordability, their communication skills, flexibility, and ability to deliver were their best qualities. All in all, they met everything we needed.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I can’t think of anything off the top of my head.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
It’s easier to message them than chat. They address things better when they’re written down.
