The cooperation started with a project to redesign and rebuild our website. Wozify also moved our web-based assets to a fast cloud-based server and continues to operate it to this day. They helped us digitize and automate several of our business processes. They introduced digital signatures into our organization, automated workflows that saved substantial manual labor. 

We provide executive coaching services to our multinational corporate clients, where 10-20 coaches work with 50-80 of the client’s employees per project. The Wozify team developed a web application to streamline the coach selection process. 

The coach profiles and intro videos can be uploaded via a user-friendly web-based interface, and the participants can select their top three coaches in order of preference. The system takes the preferences and the coaches’ capacity into account and does a semi-automatic matching.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

All the projects were completed on time and minimal budget overruns. Since the launch in 2018, the website has been stable and fast. (We might not be able to attribute all the sales numbers to the website, but since then our revenue has doubled) 

The business process automation project immediately started saving us 10s of man-hours every week, making it an extremely fast return on investment. The coach selection app received all-round positive feedback from the clients, they praised its effectiveness and the smooth user experience.

In the beginning of a new assignment they start with asking a lot of questions to make sure they understand what we need and what the priorities are. We have an ongoing cooperation that results in continuous release of new features and bug fixes of the our job board software since the takaover of the project. As well, a new custom made employment software was born based on our specifications and design. Users love our products based on their feedback and come back with pleasure.

The project management provides a smooth, flexible, and constructive cooperation between our staff and the developer team. The briefing as well as the communication is continuous and transparent, coupled with patience and problem solving attitude both from the PM and the developers. Energet Group is a platform that aggregates pre-vetted building maintenance service providers and connects them to customers. We are a one-stop shop for plumbing, electrical, and HVAC services. I am Director of Business Development.

We needed a central piece of software that acts as a middleware and facilitates data exchange between different software systems, allowing them to work together seamlessly. Our goal was to automate our manual data entry processes.

We needed a service provider that was proficient in the technologies required and in addition understood not only the systems that needed to be integrated, but also the business logic.

Before this development project our platform consisted of several siloed software systems (e.g. CRM that acted as a database, Google Workspace, Viber/WhatsApp). The scheduling of the service providers (plumbers, electricians, etc) and the fee calculation were done manually.

After a longer period of discovery and specification, the team built a web-based interface through which our operators and the service providers could exchange information. The functionality was built in an agile way (when something was completed, we started using it immediately).

The main functions included:

1. Google Calendar Integration (checking availability, scheduling jobs)
2. Reporting by the service provider
3. Financial calculations (e.g. material costs, service fee, commission of the platform)
4. Financial reporting and projections (by area, by service provider, by type of service)

We worked directly with the CTO and a project manager, and at least two other developers worked on the project that we did not have too much direct contact with.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Implementation of the system immediately saved us several hours each week (as our business grew it was more than 50 hours per month). In addition, automation eliminated the vast majority of administrative human errors on the side of our operators and the service providers as well. This resulted in better user experience for all parties involved (clients, service providers, our own employees).

Dr Volom Dental & Medical distributes dental and medical devices and accessories to dental practices. In addition, we educate dentists and dental technicians via online and offline courses. I am the owner and CEO of the firm, also a leading expert in cutting-edge dental technology.

We needed an e-commerce store. The challenge was that the store needed to be built for great performance in spite of the complexity of our product portfolio with multiple category tiers and the sheer number of products (several thousands). An additional challenge was that the store needed to be integrated and back-and-forth synchronized with our custom ERP software.

Also, we needed an event management function via which we could publish our learning courses and accept registrations and payments from participants.

They were recommended to me by my daughter, who worked with Wozify to her utmost satisfaction. In the beginning the deciding factor was that they seemed reliable and honest, and eventually they did not disappoint.

In the beginning we - together with the Wozify team - compiled a detailed specification. It contained the default functionality that every e-commerce store has and also several extra items that needed to be custom-built (for instance the event management functionality). The next stage was the UX and graphic design phase, after the approval of which the actual development started.

The team worked tirelessly for months until the official go-live. Afterwards the continuous development, maintenance and operation phase began that lasted for years. During this phase they continuously monitored the application, fixed bugs, and developed extra features per our requests.

We worked with several people over the years. In the first, intensive development phase the project team consisted of a project manager, a UX/UI designer and two developers. Later, when they were operating and maintaining our store, the main contact person was an account manager and we worked directly with one developer on the issues that inevitably arose from time to time (they always fixed everything on short notice)

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

After the launch, the e-commerce store immediately started generating revenue. Automations and UX efficiencies saved us a lot of time compared to the previous version of the webshop.

The workflow was excellent throughout the project. During the initial development phase, we had regular demos with deliverables to demonstrate (and incorporate our feedback into further development). In the operation and maintenance phase we did not have so frequent contact, but in case we found a bug or there was unexpected behavior on the side of the software, they reacted quickly and efficiently.

When we hired Wozify, we already had a partially ready platform that was abandoned by the previous developers. We tasked them to finish the development and help us go live.

Our founder had known Wozify’s founder from startup incubator Demola. The deciding factor was probably the startup mindset that both companies shared.

The very first step of the project was migrating our software from one cloud-based infrastructure provider to another. This immediately halved our monthly hosting expenses. The next step was to prepare our software for launch. This required completing some unfinished critical features and building some new ones, in addition to fixing a lot of bugs. The grand launch was a success, and the Wozify team worked alongside us for years, providing maintenance and support. The end of our shared journey was in 2022 when we raised a large investment round and started building up our in-house developer team, so we didn’t need their services anymore.

After almost a year of stumbling about with the previous developers, Wozify finished our software with extreme speed, in the timeframe of 6 weeks. After the grand launch we almost immediately started generating revenue. Also, their continuous support for years was necessary for us to get to the point of raising our follow-up investment round.

The majority of our communication took place through a project management software and it was extremely effective.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Software development for non-technical entrepreneurs is a little bit like a maze where you can get stuck for a long time. This is why it was important for us to find a partner that knows the necessary area inside out, takes us by the hand and brings our product to market (and not to another dead end). With Wozify, we experienced a never-before-seen precision, expertise, and speed of execution. While we were working with them, our minds were always at peace because we knew that our platform was in the best possible hands.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

During the long maintenance/support period we found that they were sometimes slow to accommodate our requests (probably due to our project being smaller than their other ongoing ones). Also, their pricing was a bit higher than we were comfortable with.

We hired them for a continuous web development project that was complemented with IT infrastructure maintenance and business process automation.

We got to know them through a personal connection, but the selection process was objective. We shopped around and got proposals from several service providers, and theirs was the one that fit our needs most.

We started with a simple web development project back in 2018. We needed to rebuild our WordPress website using the new templates sent from the US center. It was quite straightforward, our graphic designer designed the assets and the layouts, the Wozify team implemented them in practice. They also moved our web presence onto a high-performance, secure server.

It was easy to work with them on this project. We also wanted to introduce automations on our site, e.g. rapid tests with automatic evaluations (that functioned as lead magnets), channeling the interested visitors into our marketing funnels, handling event registrations, handling customer orders etc.

In 2021 we worked together with a university to provide soft skills competence tests to their students. Wozify built a web application for us to let the students register and take the test, and send the automatic evaluations to them via email. We also tasked them with another automation project.

We are providing adult education services and as per government regulations, we need to have all training participants sign a contract, collect their data and upload it to the government admin system. They helped us set up a digital signature system via a 3rd party service, so having the participants sign contracts and fill in their data, instead of us doing it manually, printing, signing and posting.

The next stage of this project is ongoing, where they are automating this process even further: the system they are developing is collecting the data from the filled-in contract and makes it ready to upload in the format required.

Over the years we have worked with four developers (usually one at a time), a project manager and the managing director himself.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

It was easy to work with them on each project. The first web development project was completed on time and on budget, without any roadblocks. The new site went live and our sales funnels started working well. Our website works great and loads faster.

Since then there hasn’t been any security breach or any incident that made our site go offline at any time. If we had a change request, it was also resolved immediately. The web system’s performance is consistently excellent that positively influenced our SEO ranking, too. Also, the automation project immediately started saving us several working hours per week as soon as it went live.

They were recommended by a mentor of mine who has worked with them. This was enough for me to select them.

Swappis facilitates the circulation of used (but high-quality) clothing items and accessories among its users. To achieve this, we designed a point system in which customers hand in their items and receive points in exchange. The points can be used to purchase items with 50 % discount that is deducted from their points.

The customers are also able to log in and view their current point balance. The website also needed to be integrated into a marketing automation platform. The project was executed in the following manner: we talked a lot about our needs and the Wozify team came up with some ways to implement the system as simply as possible in forms of drawings. I myself coordinated the graphic design aspect that was running in parallel with the web programming.

After the website was ready, they did not let go of my hand and provided ongoing support.

The project started out with focus on a web-based manufacturing planning and supply chain management application that would have been complemented with an e-commerce storefront for the end-user. Going deeper and deeper into the project we discovered together that the most value would be created if the focus shifted to the e-commerce part and that’s what we did. We started the project with a deep dive workshop where we explored together our organization’s challenges, needs and problems to be solved (focusing on how we can provide the most value to the end users, our customers).

The next stage was UX design, where they created wireframes, based on which our in-house graphic designer could create the layouts. Afterwards the development of the software started and it was executed in bi-weekly sprints and frequent demos, where we could give feedback. After the majority of the development finished and the application went live, Wozify continues to operate the infrastructure and provides continuous support and maintenance.

The communication flow was perfectly smooth. We used a project management system through which we could track bugs and feature requests and they were also really responsive via email and phone. They reacted to our requests and changing business requirements with extreme agility. When we asked for something that would have been disadvantageous for us, they were not afraid to say so.

There are few companies out there that are so specialized in working with startups. I believe this is because the CEO was an experienced startup entrepreneur before founding Wozify, and the startup mindset is in the company’s DNA.

The Regional Centre for Information and Scientific Development (RCISD) is an innovative SME, founded by scientists and R&D managers to carry out scientific research but also to manage R&D projects and to participate in coordination & support actions.

Our goal was to build a new website for programme organisers of the Hungarian Researchers' Night, at the same time to offer a UX-friendly website for the audience - visitors, where they can browse, search from the programmes and register for the programmes where it was obligatory on a website that is visually attractive, fast and runs safe.

At the same time, we wanted to make sure, the partners offering programmes can create, edit, and publish programmes easily on a platform that is user-friendly and bug free.

SOLUTION

How did you select Wozify and what were the deciding factors?

Wozify was recommended by one of our main partners. The deciding factor was that they have dealt with similar needs before, understood our goals quickly and were able to develop a website with such needs.

Moreover, they understood that the timeframe of the project is rather short. Also, they offered to work with us step by step, support our work by advice and explain the functions, process in a way that one without speaking the IT terminology could understand!

First, we discussed our goals and went through our specification, then the website and platform were created with our continuous involvement and feedback. Then it was tested, finally handed over to the partners and made public to the visitors.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The teamwork and communication were outstanding, the new website was created, we have received many positive feedbacks from the partners and visitors.

We communicated online, using Google Meet; at the beginning 1-2 times in a month, later if necessary, more times a week. The communication was effective and good. The timelines visioned were not precisely met, and the main challenge was reshaping the project because of covid19.

They are ready to solve anything :) Also, they think ahead, they have valuable feedback, a great amount of lessons learnt from previous projects, so they can help with constructive & practical advice.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

A website always brings up new problems, bugs, challenges that need to be solved, you have to plan the processes, routes, design, functions very carefully. There are so many things to consider; I would have planned it more thoroughly.

Sometimes tasks were left without a responsible colleague, so was left unsolved and later we realized, nobody took care of it and we had to solve it very quickly. From Wozify's part a main developer dropped out halftime, so a new developer had to take over the whole project.

He did very well, learnt everything quickly, but the takeover meant some delay from Wozify's part.
