The Job: Built on the Sharetribe Marketplace platform, Studiotime was successful but felt confined by the tools in the platform. They needed a way to refine the payment process, improve the login flow, and create a more robust studio search.
The Solution: Worklab deployed custom user flows to fulfill Studiotimes unique needs in Sharetribe.

In addition, the company wanted to be able to update their website’s content without the headache of sub-contracting simple changes. And the whole thing had to be done in under 8 weeks.
The Solution: Implement a CMS that could support A/B testing and self-service publishing.

Platform Reiteration for Transportation Solutions Company
“Everything is built to last.”

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of technology for a transportation solutions platform.
What challenge were you trying to address with Worklab.io, Inc.?
My company needed someone to program the second iteration of our platform. We wanted to hire a company that was completely self-sustained and could help with the design, programming, coding, testing, QA, server DevOps, etc. We needed an all-in-one package type of a deal.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Worklab.io, Inc. developed our mobile app, desktop app, and full backend. They used React Native and Firebase.
What is the team composition?
I work with the owner of the company directly; he’s the one that manages the project. There are 3–4 people.
How did you come to work with Worklab.io, Inc.?
A coworker used to work with the owner of Worklab.io, Inc., before he started the company.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2018, and the work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The platform is due to release in January. It’s ready, but our company works with a time base. Unfortunately, the time that I have to release is on New Year’s. The prototype is 100% perfect. It will reach 8,000–9,000 people.
Worklab.io, Inc. helped us come up with the best stack that’s not going to be outdated in the next couple of years. Having up-to-date technology was very important to us.
How did Worklab.io, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?
I’m pretty tech-savvy myself. I asked Worklab.io, Inc.’s owner to be part of the morning standup meetings. We give weekly updates to the owners of my company to make sure everything is on point. I had no problems with the first project manager, and everything was done professionally and perfectly.
What did you find most impressive about them?
One of the most important things for me was that they listen to the client and build what the client envisions rather than building something that is considerably different from what we wanted. They overcame the challenges with different programming languages extremely quickly and got on the timeline. They hit the deadlines. Everything is built to last.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, everything is perfect.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I recommend them 100%. Trust their knowledge of the technology that they’re good at. Don’t be hesitant to trust the programmers; they know what they’re doing.
Worklab.io, Inc. delivered a prototype that internal stakeholders are confident will reach thousands of users. They implemented a tech stack that won’t become obsolete in today’s ever-evolving tech landscape while adhering to the client’s vision and requirements. The team meets deadlines.
