Website Maintenance for Precious Metal Finisher
“They’re delivering a quality product within an affordable budget.”

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
Our organization is a precious metal finisher, specializing in real-to-real metal finishing. I oversee the accounting and finance functions of the business as well as purchasing HR, IT, and web development services.
What challenge were you trying to address with Wojo Design?
Our website was outdated, so we wanted to clean it up and make it more accessible to the public. We also wanted to make some coding changes that would allow us more access and familiarity with our site structure moving forward. They also worked on our customer portal. We wanted to make data more available to our customers, so customer service could be more of a seamless process.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They guided us through the whole process, working off examples of past developments that our team resonated with. We discussed what we liked and didn’t like about our systems as well as where we’d like to see it in the future. After pinning down some features and functionalities we like, they integrated some of the newer concepts into our existing platforms.
For the customer portal, we guided their team through the process. Our IT team had a pretty good idea of what they wanted, so they communicated that to Kyle (Co-Founder, Wojo Design). This was more complex than a standard website builds, but they definitely had the background to make the development work. Now that both projects are complete, they still host our site and provide small updates.
What is the team composition?
We only worked directly with Kyle, but I’m sure there were others that were working behind the scenes.
How did you come to work with Wojo Design?
Our e-marketing company recommended to us about five years ago. He seemed to have the experience we were looking for and liked what he had to offer.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent about $30,000 in total.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together around September 2015, and our teams are still working together.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Users find the deliverables to be clean and user-friendly. They’ve made the site so much more mobile-friendly. We’ve also been hearing that our customer service portal provides a seamless experience. It was pretty clunky before, but now its really nice.
How did Wojo Design perform from a project management standpoint?
We communicate via email. At the start of a project, he creates an outline of the development stages as well as a timeline that dictates delivery dates. We fell a little off schedule, but that was more of our fault than theirs. He did a very good job of managing the overall project.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re delivering a quality product within an affordable budget. We were really happy with the end result, and it didn’t break the bank. Overall, we received very good value.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Sometimes, their responses to emails can be a bit slow. Every now and then, we have to give them a reminder. However, that hasn’t been much of an issue lately.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be upfront with your goals and budget. Kyle will find a way to make things work within your parameters.

Please describe your company and your position there.
We launched a nonprofit organization in September 2019 that is focused on empowering, training and resourcing church leaders in Haiti and other developing countries. I am the Executive Director and one of the founders.
For what projects/services did your company hire Wojo Design?
Wojo Design listened to our vision and helped us conceptualize digital strategies for financial partner development. They then worked with us to create a Wordpress website and Mailchimp contact function. We have appreciated their creativity, attention to detail, and responsiveness to our questions and support needs.
What were your goals for this project?
An engaging and professional online presence that we could easily update and use for partner and potential partner contact. Mission accomplished.
How did you select this vendor?
We had used Wojo Design for online projects in the past and trusted their work.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
Wojo Design guided us in created written and photo content for the website, then walked us through website template design (key colors, fonts and overall look). They interacted with us on specific pages of the site as their site creation process began. Specifically they asked for our input on overall look, made suggestions on functionality and organization of content, and optimized our use of the site by walking us through pages and functions throughout the design process. As we launched the site, Wojo Design helped us with real-time functions such as blog creation, connection with Mailchimp campaigns, and Stripe API functions.
What was the team composition?
Kyle Deming was our main point of contact with at least two other web designers working with him behind the scenes.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
As an end-user, I love our website and Mailchimp setup. It’s highly communicative - our contacts praise our site weekly - and highly functional. It’s perfect for our organization. The son of one of our Board members works in IT for a medium-sized company in our area and told his dad that our website is one of the best sites he has seen in a long-time. Our organization exceeded its fundraising goals by 50% in our first four months of operation. We give much of the credit to our engaging and functional online presence!
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
Kyle and I worked out project management. We set agreed-upon targets for completion and talked along the way. I found Kyle very responsive even on weekends and evenings.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The quality of their work. They were able to tailor the multiple digital tools to our organization’s needs and stage of growth.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Kyle reminded me several times of our time zone difference when I called him for phone meetings an hour early! I believe in this company and would highly recommend them.

Founder/CEO
For what projects/services did your company hire Wojo Design?
Web design & development of marketing splash page for our company's product
What were your goals for this project?
Optimize communication/presentation of our product's value proposition in order to maximize user conversion
How did you select this vendor?
They came highly recommended from a member of our marketing team that had worked with them on other projects
Describe the project in detail.
Wojo was tasked with understanding our product's value proposition -- something while seemingly simple comes with several known communication challenges -- and delivering a marketing site that delivered the message to end users in such a way as to drive maximum conversion.
What was the team composition?
Wojo provided UX & visual web designers as well as web developers to build out the page. They integrated seamlessly into our in-house team of marketing reps, engineers, and business folks.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
First of all, Wojo delivered a final product that we were thrilled with. The most impressive aspect of working with their team was their ability to deliver under extremely tight deadlines. There were no lengths they wouldn't go to to make sure the work was delivered on time and with the highest quality.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Excellent. Wojo integrated seamlessly as an extended member of our in-house team
What did you find most impressive about this company?
There willingness to go above and beyond (i.e. work extremely late hours) to ensure the project was delivered successfully under tight deadlines and in high stress work environments.
Are there any areas for improvement?
None that specifically come to mind

Rehab Essentials was started in 2005 to enable actively-practicing Physical Therapists to advance to the doctoral level. Steven Tepper, PT, PhD, FAPTA, realized the need for a cost-effective transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy (tDPT) program that allowed physical therapists to maintain their work-life balance, continue to practice and advance their professional qualifications by taking online courses to achieve their DPT.
Rehab Essentials brought content experts together to create an all-star faculty and outstanding, budget friendly curriculum. Rehab Essentials vision has grown, and improving global health education is at the heart of what Rehab Essentials stands for. Rehab Essentials is the optimal solution for professional health education. Our courses and modules integrate foundational content into an e-learning platform that delivers consistent and highly ranked professional development curriculum.
For what projects/services did your company hire Wojo Design?
Our web presence was outdated both in structure and presentation of content, which is a huge issue for an online education organization. In addition, our CMS platform was complicated and hard to update, leaving little chance for design improvement. Our growth into international markets and additional product verticals outpaced the technological ability to represent our brand, mission, audiences and the latest technology.
What were your goals for this project?
Our primary goals were to develop a multi-site website/CMS platform that would reflect the brand, mission and values in structure, functionality and look across all our education product verticals. The site needed to be easily managed and updated with limited developer support.
How did you select this vendor?
Wojo Designs was selected through a multi-phase RFP process that started with 11 potential vendors. During the process, the capabilities and team at Wojo Designs constantly rose to the top. As the Director of Marketing and Sales, I joined the team during the early phases of the project. The Wojo Design team was responsive to my questions and suggestions while I learned the industry and focused our branding efforts. It was a seamless transition from my perspective.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
Wojo Designs initiated the project with a goal-based design strategy after meeting with the team to identify our distinct target markets and key goals for our device responsive websites. These goals drove the design and functionality considerations from wireframes and initial creative design all the way through final delivery.
With our multi-site complexity and the need to constantly being updating our sites, Wojo Designs provided technology and software recommendations to help position Rehab Essentials as a thought leader in our various verticals. These recommendations extended into a customized, admin-friendly CMS Infrastructure across three sites.
What was the team composition?
Wojo Designs streamlined the project communication through our primary contact Kyle Deming. In addition, developers supported us through out the process.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
One of the core goals was the simplification of our lines and ability to understand and move around our site. The communications driven directly from the websites via chat, email, etc illustrate our website is effectively relaying our brand, products and vision. In addition, the technologies employed have made it easier and quicker to get a response from our small team.
In addition, I recently executed a content change that with our old CMS/ structure took approximately 5 hours in only 1.5 hours. Plus I was comfortable knowing the changes were made correctly throughout the site.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
The project management and associated execution as great! Kyle maintained project steps and timelines and helped keep us moving forward. In addition, not only did we turn staff over, but we also had core product changes and associated requests during the development process.
This could have derailed the project, however, Kyle listened and implemented changes to minimize the impact on the overall project timeline and budget. Even now in maintenance mode, issues arise, and Kyle is available via various channels so you can reach out any time to get a response and solution.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Their knowledge, quick response, flexibility, and straight forward communications impressed us.
Are there any areas for improvement?
There is very little to improve on. We shift gears and directions during the development. Kyle was always mindful, responsive and realistic with timelines.

Please describe your company and your position there.
Blue FCU is a $1 billion regional financial leader with over 85,000 members. Blue was among the first financial institutions who coined the phrase "Doing Good" and gives back over $200,000 a year through their Foundation to support local arts, military and other causes. They work to fulfill their mission by helping people succeed financially and in life, and by strengthening the communities where we work and live.
Blue formed in 2016, when Warren Federal Credit Union (based in Wyoming and chartered in 1951) and Community Financial Credit Union (based in Colorado and chartered in 1956) decided to join forces and create a stronger-together financial institution serving more of the Rocky Mountain Front Range.
I worked for Blue for just shy of six years serving as their Marketing Manager and head of digital marketing strategy. Through this process, I had overseen several data conversion communication plans, a rebrand, dozens of campaigns and of course the website rebuild with WoJo. Much of my position required in-depth knowledge of website technology and content development.
For what projects/services did your company hire Wojo Design?
In July 2019, we hired WoJo for the development of a ground-up website redesign. In addition to the original scope to design the website, we also contracted complex content work that included API functionality that could draw beyond content on our new site so there was always fresh content on the homepage.
What were your goals for this project?
There were several tactical objectives of the site that were mainly centered around functionality not currently available on Blue's website.
This included:
- Develop interactive and responsive calculators
- Ensure each user website visit was a unique content experience
- Graduate Blue brand to the next level through web development
- Create digital marketing conversion workflows on campaign landing pages
Measurable goals included:
- Decrease current member bounce rate (avoid just online banking login sessions)
- Increase online product sales by XX% (goal withheld for company privacy)
How did you select this vendor?
WoJo was awarded the contract by a landslide after a rigorous search and RFP process in which we narrowed down between over 10 other vendors. The firms in which we reviewed were among some of the largest players in the financial industry, including Jack Henry. Our point system ranged on a scale from 0-3 in over 50 review categories including accessibility, functionality, creativity, cost and experience.
WoJo's tremendous ability to create custom and very responsive functionality was a highlight among our team. Additionally, their use of a modern and world-class CMS for automation in accessibility was a key focus as the banking industry is becoming heavily scrutinized under the ADA compliance regulations. Lastly, another standout decisioning piece for WoJo was their experience in the banking industry, specifically credit unions.
Their previous work with Alliant FCU and their build of custom online calculators knocked our expectations out of the park and their proposal soared far beyond any other vendor's submission. It was very complete, answered questions we didn't know we had and created a confidence in the overall scope of this massive project.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
- CARD SORTING & USER RESEARCH :
- WoJo's work with Blue began with an in-depth card sorting process to help us identify the categorization of our products and services. This process required the recruitment of several research participants which our lead account strategist Kyle spearheaded.
- WIREFRAME:
- At this point, we had a very strong guide to our site and content map which then created the wireframing stage. They created over a dozen unique templates that would eventually be wrapped into full page and content design. This was a critical stage and it was the first time I had experienced such an organized proofing process with web development. WoJo used Figma to help ensure we had on-demand access to our template wireframe designs and could comment with resolutions processes with our changes.
- CONTENT DEVELOPMENT:
- A unique and useful tool WoJo provided us with were content discovery sessions and guides. We took every single one of our products through this exercise so that WoJo could create an incredibly strong foundation of content. Without this, I don't think the website would be on its way to one of the most robust content-rich sites I've seen in my career.
- DESIGN & CONTENT:
- Next was design and content development, which my favorite part of the project because we got to see the full scope of the project come to life. Using Figma, we had access to review every single page in its "true" layout without being in a test environment so we could still make changes ourselves. Having that autonomous ability to make quick content edits before we hit the programming stage was instrumental in the success of keeping the project on budget. Most web design firms I have worked with provided a massive document of copy in which I would have to sift through and never get full context of how it would look in web page format. But, not WoJo. They broke the mold of how I've seen website built and I'm thankful for that knowledge as it's been critical in my own project management practices.
- CUSTOM FUNCTIONALITY:
- I'd also like to mention the amount of work WoJo did to accommodate our functionality wish-list, including:
- Custom news feed that created a ground-up Instagram API integration
- Responsive and conversion-driven product calculators
- Geographically-based content including photos
- Refreshed content to ensure every user session was informationally unique
- Custom disclosure and product disclaimer fine print integration.
- NOTE: In the financial world, the ability to easily display disclosures in a non-invasive way so that they can be updated across all pages with one edits is CRITICAL. It's not only an important part of the user experience, but it's also federally regulated.
- I'd also like to mention the amount of work WoJo did to accommodate our functionality wish-list, including:
What was the team composition?
Kyle was our main contact and we conducted weekly meeting throughout my involvement with the project. He was always available when I needed him and kept our project on track, and helped us understand limitations of our requests. This isn't something we always like to hear, but it's important to the process to ensure we are delivering an exceptional site.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
I accepted another position at a different company so I am not privy to information on Blue's goals and impacts. However, the content buy-in and ability to share world-class design with several of Blue's stakeholders was instilled a large level of confidence at the leadership level. I think WoJo's involvement with our card sorting and content/design development had a lot to do with that.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
We used SmartSheets to create identifiable deadlines and a workflow to keep us on track. This worked well for us as we never actually met WoJo in person, which in my opinion, this type of work doesn't necessarily require you
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Having worked with developers for over a decade, I haven't seen this much talent in one company before. Kyle's ability to hire for some of the most exceptional designers, content producers, developers and many others is a site to behold. This helped us achieve one-of-a-kind functions that will launch with the site.
Are there any areas for improvement?
None that I can think of.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I’m in the marketing department for a digital printing company called Cushing. We assist companies in Chicago and around the country with wide format graphics such as window signage, trade show displays, environmental branding, and short-run services such as sales brochures, custom books, and posters.
For what projects/services did your company hire Wojo Design?
We needed a website for a Cushing sibling, who was running for office. It had to be a fairly quick turnaround and easy to update.
What were your goals for this project?
We wanted an informational website that could be managed by more than one person. It had to offer photo galleries for events and general images. It also had to be simple to update as it would be managed by a team, and some folks would be completing updates late in the evening. Non-technical people had to be able to use it with little direction.
How did you select this vendor?
I've known the team at Wojo Design for almost seven years. They are knowledgeable, open-minded, savvy, and they understand all facets of digital marketing. Kyle (Co-Owner, Wojo Design) supported Cushing during an open house in 2013 and presented on digital marketing techniques.
Wojo doesn't just create a website and move on. Their objective is to understand customer goals, consult, and create a great experience. They want to keep client relationships for the long-term, and that is reflected in the work they provide.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
Wojo created an easy-to-use WordPress website that’s hosted with their team. They went above and beyond to train our team on the facets of the custom dashboard and the best practices for adding content such as images. They also made themselves available for training post-launch.
What was the team composition?
Kyle was our direct contact every step of the way. If there was an issue he could not address, he would let us know another team member was in the process of troubleshooting. He collected content from the team, created user names and passwords, and uploaded all initial content to meet the website deadline.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
Within a couple of weeks of the site launch, the site was appearing on the first page of Google search results for many important brand terms. This project was for a political office campaign, and it was extremely important that anyone who wanted to learn more about the campaign could access the site within 1–2 Google searches.
They developed the app using a responsive design, so it displayed on desktops and many other devices without any issues. This was very important for our email distribution efforts, and it enabled the site to reach mobile end users.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
Kyle was available for phone call updates and responsive to emails. If we needed to push a call time, he was always gracious and available.
They didn’t miss any appointments, and his team did their best to fulfill any urgent requests, even if this meant working on a weekend.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Wojo Design understands the value of building relationships beyond one transaction. For them, it’s not just about closing a deal and moving on. Our working relationship benefits both parties. I’ve had the chance to work with Kyle on marketing opportunities such as interviewing Wojo Design for our company blog. Kyle also presented at a Cushing open house, which generated interest and drew attendees into the location.
Are there any areas for improvement?
There’s not much I can think of at the moment. We had a very specific project that needed attention, and his team came through. They do great work and care very much about the client experience. They would be incredible to work with and learn from on projects that go beyond the scale of our small project. I’m looking forward to the next one!

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the president of McPherson Brand Services, a brand consulting company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Wojo Design?
We hired Wojo design to provide web development and digital marketing services to three of our clients.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The project has focused on WordPress development. For the first client, Wojo Design has built a website and then provided SEO and email marketing. The team has done website design, PPC, SEO, email marketing, and newsletter design for the second client.
I serve as the chief marketing officer for the third client, a sports application. For this company, Wojo has completed app development and design. For the latter, they created wireframes and completed the UX. Digital strategy services include consulting as well as branding, logo design, email marketing, and newsletter design.
The team provides ongoing maintenance for all three clients. At the moment, we’re considering building an online store to increase business.
What is the team composition?
The five-person team includes Steve (Co-Founder, Wojo Design) and Kyle (Co-Owner, Wojo Design) as the two client-facing resources.
How did you come to work with Wojo Design?
I had worked with Steve at another firm before he founded Wojo Design. I was familiar with his capabilities and wanted to see what we could accomplish working together.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent approximately $290,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in March 2016 and the partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Website traffic analytics are all outstanding, and sales are on track to be very successful. One client received an industry award for their website. The fully-functional sports app recently earned additional investment from key investors.
How did Wojo Design perform from a project management standpoint?
The team is effective and fluent in the digital tools needed for modern development. We communicate via phone, Slack, Basecamp, and face-to-face conversations.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They combine user insight, passion, and great design skills to produce outstanding results. Their concepts and deliverables are almost always 100% there on the first pass. The team’s efficiency and consistency make them a fantastic partner.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I have no criticism of their performance. It the nature of this business to have occasional issues with the code or a web page. In those cases, I reach out to Kyle and he follows up immediately.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Clients don’t have to have everything figured out. Provide Wojo Design with a well-considered brief and give their team time to review the marketing objectives. They will come back with digital strategy feedback. They do their homework to provide a high level of service.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I was a consultant for the website redesign of a personal injury law firm.
For what projects/services did your company hire Wojo Design?
We hired Wojo to do a complete redesign of the website as well as rebranding.
What were your goals for this project?
We wanted to give the website a fresh, dynamic look, an easily navigable UX, and compelling content. We also wanted to have the capability to manage the CMS internally.
How did you select this vendor?
Kyle (Co-Owner, Wojo Design) and I worked together for an advocacy group fighting extreme global poverty. Wojo’s proposal stood out because it was incredibly detailed, well-researched, and highly professional. It revealed weaknesses in our current site, compared it to competitors, and crafted a clear path to achieve our objectives. Kyle was also transparent about cost, pointing out where we could conserve our resources by deferring a particular task to a later date.
Describe the project in detail.
Kyle met with us and painstakingly worked through our objectives and vision. Afterward, he prepared wireframes and offered excellent alternative options for branding. Their team seamlessly gave life to our clumsily articulated vision and patiently worked with us through the process. Wojo also offered services to improve traffic on a regular basis, which I recommended to the law firm. However, I don't know if they purchased these services from Wojo.
What was the team composition?
We communicated mostly with Kyle. I believe there was at least one designer and one coder involved, if not more. On our side, I was involved along with the principal in the law firm and a couple of other staff members who gave input.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Wojo met all objectives and delivered a beautiful and unique website that reflects the personality of the firm and functions effortlessly. The website has received positive feedback from visitors. Our investment in the website was well worth it and continues to pay dividends. I exited the project at this point, so I'm unaware of the site’s analytics.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Wojo exceeded all expectations, managing the project professionally and communicating effectively. However, we did not use online tools to manage workflow because the law firm’s team was not familiar with them.
Having a single point person worked very well for the project, as Kyle was responsive and clearly had passion for his work. His dedication to excellence and integrity was evident. Admittedly, we were not the easiest client, but Kyle exhibited the utmost patience and professionalism. He never made us feel like we were imposing on his time.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Wojo was a trusted partner, with the highest professional standards and ethics. They shepherded us through an intimidating process with patience and proficiency.
Are there any areas for improvement?
None.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the owner of a small company. I handle all aspects of the business except for finances, which my wife helps with.
For what projects/services did your company hire Wojo Design?
I hired Wojo Design to design and build our website and to be responsible for all online marketing.
What were your goals for this project?
My goal was to increase the number of home inspection leads we received. I also wanted to reduce our reliance on expensive and mostly ineffective Yellow Pages advertising. At the time, I had no online presence whatsoever, but I thought that a good website and effective online advertising would help us grow the business faster.
Describe the project in detail.
I initially hired Wojo to do a one-off project. The quality of the work was great, so I continued to use them for all of my other marketing needs. Wojo quickly built the website as soon as I approved their design concept. Once the website was built, they started managing our SEO and Google AdWords, making sure that we appear in searches. In addition, they have helped me with brochure design, social media, logo design, and iPad app development.
What was the team composition?
I primarily work with Kyle (Co-Owner, Wojo Design), who is the project manager. From time to time, I've worked with two of his co-founders on technical and design projects.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
As the primary decision-maker, I am happy with the work they are doing. I frequently hear customers say that they are very impressed with the website. Even though I’ve scaled back on print advertising, my business continues to grow quickly. I had my best year ever in 2016, with 400 inspections in a calendar year. This was a result of Wojo’s marketing efforts.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The process is quite seamless. I can reach Kyle quickly and expect a prompt response. They are available via phone, text message, email, and in-person meetings. However, I don't really like using fancy online tools, so we communicate via telephone. They have adapted well to my preferences.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I'm surprised at the variety of things Wojo can do, and do well. It's nice to have one agency that I can rely on for all of my marketing needs. I haven't considered hiring anyone else.
Are there any areas for improvement?
The biggest challenge I faced is that it was difficult for me to write all the recommended content for the website. It may have been wiser for me to see if Wojo or another agency could have done most of the content writing.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the vice president of marketing for Energy Light, Inc.
What challenge were you trying to address with Wojo Design?
We needed help with market visibility in our industry. We wanted customers to find us easily, and our ultimate goal was to increase revenue. The challenge was for people to find us when they put in a keyword for a specific product.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The initial step was for them to understand our products and our customers. I was impressed that they took the time to do some homework. They studied our products and came to our facility to understand what the product does and how it solves problems for our customers.
In my experience, other companies didn’t care about that. They said they could help us with our challenge or project, but were only interested in us giving them some keywords or us helping them with a lot of the setup. Wojo Design took the initiative, completely learning and understanding the products before they did anything else. Their interest made me feel better.
Then they designed our so-called digital marketing plan. They wanted us to review it with them. They showed us every step that would take place during the benchmarks they had set up. It was very measurable.
In phase three, once the sales starting picking up, the primary goal became to consistently increase revenue and conversion rates. It was almost a repetition of the first two steps. The key was to convert not only online visitors but also people who called us. They used Google Analytics and other software to measure that.
When we started working with them, our website was based on Network Solutions. They told us that platform is probably the most challenging. Magento would be a little easier to use and would increase organic search visibility. It took us a few years to migrate to Magento.
What is the team composition?
The co-owner was our primary contact. We also worked with a few others.
How did you come to work with Wojo Design?
I searched Google for digital marketing agencies in Chicago. I figured that a good digital agency should have a good website. A few agencies had aggressive claims, but their websites looked terrible and didn’t rank well on Google. I looked for a digital marketing agency that not only had a nice, clean website, but could also promote their own brand. I narrowed my search down to three or four companies, and we didn’t regret choosing Wojo Design.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent $50,000-$60,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in March 2012 and the work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We have grown about 30% a year for the last six years. I can’t imagine how that would have happened without them making us more visible. They helped us set up the products properly on the website. When somebody looks for it, it’s relevant content that customers are looking for.
In 2012, we had two employees; now we have 16. We now operate in a 25,000 square foot facility instead of working out of a home. Our success story is phenomenal. Considering the amount of money we invested, the return on investment is a no-brainer.
How did Wojo Design perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re excellent and very reachable. Whenever the website isn’t working or the conversion rate drops, they get back to me very quickly. They manage the project well too. I was concerned because they were so young and small at the time, but they came through. I’d give them an A for project management. At the beginning, we talked weekly and had meetings once a month. Once everything was set up, we had a quarterly meeting. Those still continue.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They have impressive knowledge across the board. They know what our website needs to gain visibility and increase conversions, and their knowledge constantly increases. They freely offer suggestions and advice, and they care about our growth. They don’t just look at us as a client. They know that if we do well, they will do well. That's rare in this day and age.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
We’ve been very happy with them. They serve companies with small to medium revenue. I don’t think you could find a better boutique agency. There are lots of big agencies out there, but these guys spend time time working with you and ensuring your success. If they don’t grow too fast too quickly, they will continue to be a great find.
