Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of Beavercon Building Services, Ltd., a construction company in Kenya that works with prospectors in East Africa. We’re mainly contractors, but we also offer consultancy, design, and project management. Depending on the projects we have at one given time, we’ll hire personnel to handle each and every project. We can employ as many as 200 people, but we normally engage them on a daily basis. We have around five permanent employees for each project as well.
What challenge were you trying to address with Witflair Enterprises Ltd?
I’d known their company for quite some time and knew they were good at branding. For us to be known in our market, we have to be keen on how we present ourselves. There are a number of contractors in our market, and we wanted to have an edge in the segment we were targeting. We approached them to build our brand.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Witflair built our corporate identity from scratch. We gave them a brief on the niche we were targeting, and they advised us on the most appropriate strategies to appeal to those people. They did our profile and our business cards, and we’re in discussions about how they could do our website.
What is the team composition?
Their director is my contact person since I have a personal relationship with him. I don’t know how many people are working on our project, though.
How did you come to work with Witflair Enterprises Ltd?
I knew their director and the work he’d done previously.
How much have you invested with them?
The design work cost around $1,000. We haven’t done much at this point where marketing is concerned.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Witflair at the end of 2018, and the relationship is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Witflair surpassed our expectations. We’ve been operating for about a year, and we’ve become quite competitive based on the brand identity they built for us. We’re able to reach the niche we’re aiming for. I’ve referred them to a large client for whom we’re doing project management because they were very impressed with Witflair’s work.
How did Witflair Enterprises Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?
Their director is my contact person, and he put together the team handling our branding. He’s very professional, and I like the way he presents himself. I give him a rating of above 90%, as I’m quite impressed with his delivery and project management. If Witflair commits to a deadline, they’ll deliver on that date. For me, that goes a long, long way.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They keep it simple, and they’re very creative. I like simplicity, but I also want it done in a very creative way, and their creativity stands out. They’re also able to deliver on deadlines.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I’ve yet to engage with them for a longer period of time, so it’s difficult to say, but I’m impressed with what they’ve done so far.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
If they’re able to get partners to expand their capacity, it will go a long way. We have a serious deficit in this particular market segment in the country. Witflair is competitive in the market, but they may not necessarily have the capacity.

I’m the owner and founder of Jamesvybe, Ltd., a creative and storytelling company. I’m a corporate government professional and also a certified secretary. Besides that, I write, so I set up the company to do creative storytelling and visual impact stories for public and for-profit organizations.
What challenge were you trying to address with Witflair Enterprises Ltd?
I wanted a brand that was well-defined and clearly articulated to the clients I was planning to reach out to. This involved many tasks, including getting my brand colors and fonts right and understanding how to communicate my brand profile to clients. Witflair helped me shape that up.
What was the scope of their involvement?
In the first phase, I worked with Witflair to come up with my brand colors, fonts, and logo design. We started with an initial conversation on how to communicate my core values. They’ll start working on my website in the second phase.
What is the team composition?
I communicated with their team lead in the initial phase and filled out a questionnaire on what I wanted. The main contact person took the information and feedback from my end.
How did you come to work with Witflair Enterprises Ltd?
I was attending a conference and happened to meet up with one of their principals. We talked, and I really liked their minimalist concepts and how they addressed branding.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I shared the initial branding profile they created and 95% of the people I reached out to were very impressed with the brand colors, layout, and feel. It was all good feedback coming out from most people.
How did Witflair Enterprises Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?
They asked all the necessary questions and got enough information from me in the initial phase. They stuck to the timelines they set out and were quite timely and efficient in executing tasks and getting back to me.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re quite personable. It’s a tailor-made service in the sense that, aside from sending me a questionnaire, they used a personal touch to understand my expectations. They shaped my requirements to make them articulate exactly what I wanted to my target clients. Additionally, they’re quite personable and patient with the services they provide, which made me feel comfortable with my idea. It didn’t feel like they forced what they thought was good on me. They helped shape my idea into something I could embrace. I’m appreciative of what I have at the moment.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I haven’t seen any drawbacks in the initial phase. They’re quite good at following up and making sure they stay on target.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
Clients should communicate their expectations and clarify what they want to make sure there isn’t any missing information when the work starts.

I work for an USAID funded project for Water Sanitation and Hygiene implemented by DAI. BFA is one of the main stakeholders in the project. I am the IT Support officer for the project for Nairobi and the Eastern region which comprises of staff across 3 counties.
For what projects/services did your company hire Witflair Enterprises Ltd?
Witflair was chosen though a panel to develop a new website and content management system for Big Five Africa. Our mission was that through the new website, the company would increase visibility to clients and boost their web presence. We lacked capacity in-house to develop the website and thus had to source for various website developers through a competitive proposal and bid submission process.
What were your goals for this project?
the main goals for this project were; 1. Boost BFA's client visibility and global web presence. 2. Create an easy to access portal for publications and success stories 3. A primary place for client communication and feedback 4. Management desired a simple but informative website.
How did you select this vendor?
Request for a solution proposal were done through phone. the Vendors' portfolio through previous work done was impressive and within the ideas of what the BFA Management team wanted their website to be. The vendor emerged top of 5 considered vendors in both quality of work and pricing. The website project team included 2 directors from the company, the IT Support Officer and the Communications and marketing officer.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
The project kicked off with a first meeting with the developer and the project team. Both parties explained expectations, initial technical pre-setups ( new domain, hosting plan and SSL certificates) and timelines of delivery. The developer was to be responsible also for site engine optimisation and user training for content management on the wordpress platform. After agreement the developer then had a meeting with the communications and marketing officer to exchange the desired content management system and layout for the website. This followed with about a week of choosing layouts and wireframes and eventually agreed on a desired one. By this time the pre-setups also were complete and ready for the developer to begin. The website from start to finish took about a week. This was however followed by change of content from our team. The changes and updates took another 2 weeks to confirm and implement. SEO and user CMS training was done thereafter and website went live with management approval on complete delivery.

The core project team was mainly 3 people but with the total input of about 10 people.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
The solution has increased the numbers of visitors on the website and also current information due to the in-built blog section where we share our project success stories.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
The project management was effective as the project began and ended on the expected timeline. There were no communication barriers or hitches. We used email and mobile communication frequently.
What did you find most impressive about this company?

Witflair Enterprises Ltd. branded our company, starting with a logo and a new color scheme. They then developed our website and generated digital content in line with the new brand. They’re currently working to add ticketing functionality to the website, which is built on WordPress. They’ve conducted SEO (targeting organic traffic) and have even produced collateral materials like invite cards.

Witflair Enterprises Ltd. has been stellar. We’ve shot up in Google rank, so now we’re on the second page. We’ve also received phenomenal feedback; every time we send out an invite, we get asked about the agency who created them. I’ve also gotten questions about who developed our website. That’s all to say that the quality of their work is amazing.

I worked every day with Demas, who was great at quickly handling emerging issues. Their turnaround time—usually within a day—was very impressive.

Upon hearing my preferences, they provided me with a designer whose specialty is minimalism. If you’re looking for more elaborate designs, they’ll also give you a designer who’s great at that.
