I'm the owner of a web development and SEO digital marketing agency.

For what projects/services did your company hire Winterwind Inc., and what were your goals?

We needed support creating a custom PHP analytics package that would review ad spend across different network platforms like Google Ads, FB Ads, LinkedIN Ads and then marry lead data back to those campaigns to see the top/worst performing ones.

System needs to be fast and have precompiled the data (rather than ad hoc) so we need a caching system involved along with a cron to pull the data on a nightly basis and inform when the data has not be pulled correctly or fails for a given campaign.

This requires a ton of super technical skills and to be at the top of your game in each: straight MVC web development, complex API work with crazy authentication, strong relational database work and querying, front end CSS / HTML / JS work.

How did you select Winterwind Inc. and what were the deciding factors?

I have hired a lot of different firms in the past and was actually running a split test between WinterWind and two companies in India.

I'm super technical (doing all the things described in the challenge for 25+ years) and interview Anthony and he was as geeky or geekier than me and had the same answers that I had for solving the problems I faced.

Given that Anthony was super geeky, would be PMing the project and there was no language barrier and was on US Timezones, I moved forward with them.

Project started with dB design, which I provided but I'm sure WinterWind could have come up with. Next, was going out to the respective services and pulling back the data.

This was actually a very complex piece but WinterWind banged away at it (combing forums for undocumented solutions) and we got access to work. There is a lot more but WinterWind killed it. Tech involved: PHP - Laravel MySQL

I have pretty much only interacted with Antony and the developer Anthony assigned to me. Anthony screens his workers for the absolute best!

I have been doing this for 25+ years and my developer is in his early 20s and knows as much as me about development. I should be depressed that it took me this long to learn it all but I'm just grateful to be working with someone so knowledgeable.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

It is amazingly easy to work with my developer and I love working with him. His English is amazing, he is funny, super smart and I don't need to explain or even document anything with him.

He immediately gets what I am talking about and only pokes me over slack if he has a blocker. He gives me DAILY updates on what he has worked on, hours spent and what he will be working on next.

Anthony's developers are so good at what they do that I never need to talk to Anthony about anything PM based as his developers just do what is needed and are super professional. Communication is done over your preferred channels: Slack and Zoom for me.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are such great resources, who are at the top of their game and generally great humans, at such reasonable rates. My wife has said "I can tell you really like that developer you were talking to" because I tease him / make him laugh and because he is a freaking dream to work with.

I have intentionally not named him in this review because I don't want you, readers, to try to snag him! FYI, those other split tests I was running both failed miserably and I am moving all that work to WinterWind.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We had a little bit of a rough start as folks didn't realize how hard working with ad networks APIs would be and I mentioned it to Anthony.

He immediately swapped in a more senior developer for me and credited me hours for time lost. He handled it the perfect way and made it right.

I am the Co-Founder of my current company where we developed an online game with a blockchain use case. The company is located in Malta and our goal and mission are to create a new innovative game using the play-to-earn mode within the game.

We spent months looking for the proper company to assist us and guide us. We dealt with false hopes before, until we came across this company. He has the offer we were looking for and after a couple of meetings of consulting, we decided to go with WinterWind, and I have to say it was one of the best decisions ever.

They took the time to research what our game is about, they gave us a report on which blockchain to use to save money in the long run, and they were able to guide us and show us what we need to look at, prepare ourselves for, and developed the blockchain we needed.

Anthony and the CTO were the main points of contact. They both were amazing and were able to not only assist us but educate us as well.

Integrating the blockchain and the education and lesson they have given us, our game is finally in Early Access Mode, and showing the play-to-earn model to our closed public invitations. We could have not done this without them.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Everything was done via google meets or any other online platform. The time difference did not matter, they were able to work with us and adapt to our time zone and team.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The time they put in to help us, and consult us in a way where we can make proper decisions for the company. Again, they were the best consulting service and blockchain developer we ever had.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Honestly, everything they have done was a blessing, and out of their goodness to help us. They understood the problem, gave us the solution, and were professional with amazing communication and awareness.

We needed to take the present development process we had, which was moving too slowly, pick up the pace of development, increase communication, clarity, speed and execution.

They helped us achieve our development goals quickly.

We had a mobile application that was nearing completion but it had fallacies. We needed a team that could take this project, look at it, clean it up and make it ready for launch within the guidelines of The App Store and Google play. We established a line of communication, deliverables, timeline, cost. We also knew the hourly rate for fixing problems that popped up.

We were able to launch our app with the comfort of knowing any issues that arose would be fixed within a very short time. It was nice to have a team that was very responsive and knowledgeable.

Their response time was always very timely. I never worried that I would be left with bug fixes or other issues that were not responded to immediately. We used a group chat to communicate. I felt free to post messages there 24/7 and they would be looked at rather quickly.

Timely, efficient, professional, knowledgeable. It reduced my stress greatly working with this company and their team.

No, I feel as they are operating at their most efficient level.

Almost 10, 000 page visitors per month with generated leads of around 30 on average per month that translates to quality sales and profit to our company overtime.

We had video conference calls and Telegram to get regular updates and meetings including documented minutes via email. Project Methodology was an agile approach.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were very professional and knew exactly what we need for our website. His team is accommodating and resolves our query within the 48-hour turnaround time. They provide excellent service! I highly recommend Winterwind to other prospective clients.

we had a requirement to use a stats api along with our own calculations to develop a front end interface for our members to view and interrogate the data to greatly reduce research time to identify trading opportunities.

After a brief chat with Anthony it was clear he understood the requirements and Winterwind were a good fit for our project

The project has run over budget and although happy with the product one area for improvement would perhaps be to provide a more accurate estimate for requirements.
