"The deliverables have been on time, and we're really happy with their work and dedication."

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a senior manager and Human Resource Business Partner. I lead the HR department of a medical devices manufacturing company.
We prepare and manufacture medical devices in a clean room condition, which means the temperature and pressure conditions are controlled. We follow strict standard operating procedures and protocols because we don’t want to compromise the quality of our products. We have customers across the globe, and we want them to know that we’re manufacturing under appropriate conditions.
What challenge were you trying to address with Wingix?
We approached Wingix because we wanted more visibility and credibility in the market. With that intent, we wanted a website so we could give a detailed version of who we are and the entire setup of our company.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Wingix built our website from scratch. First, we went through the conceptualization phase. We sat together and presented how we wanted our segmentation, targeting, and positioning to be. We brainstormed and went back and forth, and they gave us excellent marketing inputs and some of their business acumen, which we later incorporated. After a period of time, we came up to a consonance on how the structure was going to look like, and then they delivered the website and logo.
Also, we wanted Wingix to shoot a video about the company premises. It captured the live machine-working condition of the N95 masks being manufactured and covered the nitty gritty of the processes and the machines, giving a holistic view of what we do and how we’re manufacturing. If we talk about N95 masks, there are four product variants. We wanted them to be presented categorically with all their particular features so customers would be able to read, understand, and move ahead in the purchase.
What is the team composition?
We have close to eight people from the core team working with Wingix on a continuous basis. There’s a lot of back and forth, and that’s how the entire project has come into picture.
On their side, they have 4–5 core people, and they have subordinates working for them.
How did you come to work with Wingix?
I’m very active on LinkedIn, and I posted that I was looking for a marketing agency for design work, web development, and a video. A lot of companies came forward and submitted their application. We gingerly assessed all of them, and we kind of resonated well with Wingix because they were young, dynamic people and they understood our concept.
Also, when we spoke to other people, they were always very traditional and had a conventional approach of marketing. We wanted somebody to bring fresh ideas and soul to the content. Wingix was very innovative, so we chose them.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $5 million Indian rupees (approximately $68,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in November 2020, and our partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We had a very strict timeline because our product was supposed to go live and we were supposed to give a presentation to a very high network customer. Wingix’s people have burned the midnight oil and worked in the nights as well. The deliverables have been on time, and we're really happy with their work and dedication.
How did Wingix perform from a project management standpoint?
We have a very small setup with all the eight people based in the same building, so there isn’t a communication gap. For the brainstorming sessions, we always sat together with Wingix so they’d be part of the discussion and we wouldn’t have any distortion of information. They're also part of the core team, which is why we're able to completely understand each other.
For communication, we use WhatsApp and emails. Our internal communication channel is Slack, and we use it often to create groups and post our requirements.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re dedicated people. They didn’t stick to their timelines or business hours; they worked all night once because there was a presentation that needed to be sent to a prospective customer. I really liked that about them because other companies would always stick to business hours and wouldn’t entertain your requests and requirements.
Also, they stood out for their innovative approach and understanding of the concept.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could have a bigger team. The conceptualization is limited to their core people only, and if anybody falls sick, we have a deadlock. They need to have more people in the whole team so work isn't hampered.
Any advice for potential customers?
I would advise my friends and colleagues to explain the concept to them. If they understand the segment, targeting, and positioning, then you can deliver orders to better define your requirements, and they'll probably give better insights to what you're looking for.
