Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO and owner of BetterTogether, and we’ve been on the market since 2016. We're a software house that offers customized software solutions related to marketing. At the moment, our main product is the inContact CRM tool.
What challenge were you trying to address with WIDESCOPE?
Initially, we made customized solutions for various customers. However, we wanted to create a SaaS solution that’d reach a wider range of audience, who could purchase the solution from us and use it. We also wanted our services to be more universal. We came up with an idea and had a team, but we wanted to outsource the main work.
What was the scope of their involvement?
WIDESCOPE developed the online software. The team was also supposed to create a marketing strategy for launching the sales of this new product. Then, they developed the website for us and worked on its UI.
At the moment, they manage the sales of our product on channels like Facebook, Google, and LinkedIn. This product is launched and working, but we’re still optimizing it based on customer feedback. We always introduce tweaks and add new features, and we use WIDESCOPE for those updates.
What is the team composition?
I mainly interact with Maciej (CGO & Co-Founder), who serves as the main project manager. We agree on project assumptions, goals, and strategy, but the details are passed on to our team members; all the technical details are discussed on the team level.
How did you come to work with WIDESCOPE?
Maciej was initially our external consultant, and we used him for various projects when we were developing our first products. When he launched his company, we decided to outsource this project to him because we were satisfied with his work.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested around $40,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project started in April 2020, and the partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We measure the success of the project based on how the product works and whether it helps us attract clients. So far, it’s been a success because we’re seeing a 20%–30% increase in sales.
Anecdotally, WIDESCOPE always delivers as they promise, and they don’t overpromise. If we need something or if there’s a problem, they come to us not only with information but also with a solution. They tell us the best way to fix the problem, and they always deliver on time. Overall, they have honesty and transparency; we know what they’ll do, how they’ll do it, and when it will be delivered.
How did WIDESCOPE perform from a project management standpoint?
WIDESCOPE performs perfectly in terms of project management. With them, everything runs smoothly. They’re always on schedule and hit milestones. When problems arise, they’re solved quickly and efficiently. On top of that, their communication is clear and transparent, especially with Maciej. We used Asana extensively as a management tool.
What did you find most impressive about them?
WIDESCOPE delivers what they promise, and they tell us straight away what can and can’t be done. That’s very important for this complex project. Instead of saying they can deliver everything, they tell us what they can work on. Then, they provide practical solutions and tell us any problems we should expect and how we can go around them. It has made everything easier on our side because we can prepare in advance.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Things can always get done faster. That being said, every deadline they’ve provided has been realistic. Once they grow — and I can see them growing — I expect they can accomplish the job faster.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Say exactly what you want, and WIDESCOPE will tell you if and how it can be done. If you’re straightforward with them, they can provide you the right way to do the project. Sometimes, companies want a solution, but they don’t know exactly what they want. They may like a certain feature, but they don’t know how that feature relates to other features. With WIDESCOPE, if you know what you want, they’ll deliver.
