BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am Jobacurra's Operations Coordinator. We are a Talent Sourcing Company that includes a full-fledged RMS for our clientele. Recruiters can log in to our application and post job advertisements that meet their needs. Candidates can also apply for jobs that require them to go through a sophisticated RMS process in order to manage the process efficiently. We also screen the profiles that meet any job profile and link them to the recruiters, making it easier for them to identify the suitable profiles amid a large pool of applicants.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire WerqLabs, and what were your goals?

WerqLabs was recruited to design our company's RMS System and Job Portal. They were in charge of developing the job portal where the company could post applications, as well as the admin panel where they could leverage the RMS for their hiring needs. The Jobacurra professionals use the Super-Admin panel to screen profiles and manage companies and candidates. WerqLabs was in charge of designing, developing, hosting, and maintaining the application.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We learned about WerqLabs through a referral and opted to work with them after many discussions with the staff. They were able to visualise the product as we envisioned it and proved the technical ability required to complete the work because we needed to release it faster than any other application would normally take.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

To start with we had to sign off a requirement document that had all the features enlisted that were decided to be delivered. Upon confirmation, Wireframes were provided to give us an idea of how it would look and operate. We also had a few interviews with the team so that they could understand our perspective and plan the user experience journey accordingly. Upon sign off on the wireframes, they initiated the development and we had sprint results bi-weekly to track the product progress. The application works on an SQL Database.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

There were six people in total, including a Business Analyst, UX Engineers, Developers, a Lead, and a Manager. Other members were added as a result of a request or a requirement.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The team met the promised timelines, and by implementing their suggestions during development, we were able to cut our manual data entry by up to 50%. This aided us in transitioning our personnel to reach out to prospect recruiters and boost our job postings, which resulted in 13 percent more profiles applying to the openings in the first quarter following the release.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We communicated using Google Meet, Gmail, and Trello to keep track of the project. We were also issued weekly progress updates by the leads, and we had weekly sessions in addition to the meetings to demonstrate any progress output. We had access to BitBucket and could see the code commits and current progress.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The most striking part of the organisation was its accessibility and ownership throughout the tenure. The entire team took part in brainstorming sessions, which generated numerous solutions to a problem. Each member was reachable and able to respond to our individual questions and fix issues as they arose.
