Shopify Store for Isofrut
We helped a southern wholesaler of freeze-dried fruits expand their market to the north.
Overview
Based in Chile, SouthAm is a full service manufacturing freeze-dry facility that processes only the best-quality produce and one of the few to offer BRC, Organic, Kosher, and Non-GMO certifications.
SouthAm's own line of freeze-dried fruit snacks, called Isofrut, uses state-of-the-art technnology and its production is overseen every step of the way — producing the highest quality foods made from real fruits. By doing so, they bring people the best nutrients, right from the source — in a healthy, crunchy, bite-sized snack.
Problem
SouthAm knew that Isofrut has the potential to go international and they were particularly determined to expand to the United States. However, they were undecided regarding which marketing approach to take and was overwhelmed with factors such as consumption culture and language, brand protection, distribution and operational procedures, etc.
Solution
Wegacha helped SouthAm understand the North American market and worked with their team to introduce the Isofrut brand to the country. With usability and conversion in mind, Wegacha built an ecommerce website for Isofrut, along with system integrations and automations to improve operational efficiency. Isofrut's visually appealing product combined with a competitive price tag also gave them an edge in the market.

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner of a luxury brand for baby clothing.
What challenge were you trying to address with Wegacha?
We wanted to update the design of our Shopify website and add some new features.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We kept our existing Shopify site, but they updated the design and layout to make it more user friendly. This included adding new photos and improving the ordering process.
What is the team composition?
Our main point of contact is Andres (Founder & CEO). He works with a team of developers on our site.
How did you come to work with Wegacha?
I knew Andres previously. Their company fit our needs and budget the best.
How much have you invested with them?
We invested under $5,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in February 2019. The main update wrapped up in April 2019. However, their team continues to assist with smaller technical improvements.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I didn’t track any specifics. They were able to keep up with our timeline. Even when I found issues with the site, it was easy to get in touch with them and fix it.
How did Wegacha perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re honest as to what they can execute based on their skill set and the client’s budget. The team is very responsive when problems arise. If there was ever a deadline extension, it was because I requested something extra.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re reliable and honest. The team is clear about their work, including what their process is and how many hours of work it will take.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There were a few basic things that got overlooked, so we had to go back and address those after the project was complete. It was a bit frustrating I was billed for additional work because it was after the website was finished. However, the team is aware of their strengths and weaknesses.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
It’s important to be very specific about your expectations. I would recommend following up regularly on their progress to make sure everything is going well.

I am the Managing Partner for a Footwear and Apparel brand. We design, manufacture and sell our products mainly on the web. We are focused on e-commerce in North America and Europe. Our main channels are our own website and amazon.
For what projects/services did your company hire Wegacha?
We hire many services outsourcing to focus on our core business. Digital marketing is a dynamic and challenging area where we needed help from area specific experts. So we hired Wegacha to help us with some aspects of our digital marketing strategy.
What were your goals for this project?
Mainly increase awareness and therefore traffic to our websites. By increasing quality traffic we knew we were going to be able to sell more by also improving conversion rates and add even more subscribers-clients.
How did you select this vendor?
We researched 4 possible vendors. We felt that Wegacha's approach was simple and at the same time well aligned with what we had in mind. It was pretty straightforward.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
After a few meetings oriented to understand our situation, a diagnosis was made. From there, they wrote down a plan to close the gaps we were having in regards to bringing quality traffic to our website. The plan includes email marketing tactics, digital advertising, and website optimization.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the office manager for a digital ink manufacturer. I handle all the communication with our marketing team.
What challenge were you trying to address with Wegacha?
We wanted to expand brand awareness in the market. Since we’re a third-party ink manufacturer, it’s difficult to attract new clients without that brand recognition.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They’re helping us develop our website and our social media, and work on anything practical to support our marketing efforts. They help edit videos, make newsletters, and draft marketing emails for our clients.
What is the team composition?
We have two main points of contact. We have one project manager who takes all our requests, and another team member works on videos and websites to make changes. We constantly communicate through Slack.
How did you come to work with Wegacha?
We found them online and called them in to meet with them. They gave us some good ideas to help us spread brand awareness, so we decided to try them. They’ve been good to us ever since.
How much have you invested with them?
We started off organically, so we’ve only invested about $300 so far. As we see more improvements, we’ll invest more and more.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in late summer 2018. It’s an ongoing engagement.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They improved the website 100%. Everything had to match our corporate headquarters, and they’ve done that perfectly. Our website has a lot more traffic, and we’ve already had some good results and qualified leads.
How did Wegacha perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re great project managers. They always get our approval before posting anything, and they reach out frequently to get our feedback.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their communication and their availability stand out. They’re always happy to speak with us via Skype, and resolve all our needs quickly.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We don’t have any complaints. They provide everything we ask for.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
It’s useful to have an open form of communication. Help them understand your business and how your company runs, and the rest will go smoothly.

Digital Marketing Consulting for Software Dev Tool
“As long as our clients are satisfied with the results, the timing, and the attention, we’re satisfied.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner and CEO of a software development company that builds web and mobile applications.
What challenge were you trying to address with Wegacha?
We work with clients that require SEO and other digital marketing support for their websites, which are skills we don’t have in-house. I had been working with another company to outsource that work but I didn’t like them so was searching for a new partner.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Wegacha has worked with our clients to build websites and enhance SEO on existing sites. They’ve also created content in a few cases.
For each project, we meet and lay out all of the requirements on paper. We follow-up with an informal email laying out the scope of the activity including, for example, how many pages the website has, how much content they will generate, and how many iterations of client review they will manage.
What is the team composition?
The owner is my primary point of contact. He usually puts us in touch with other people on his team who handle different requirements.
How did you come to work with Wegacha?
I knew the owner through a mutual friend. He also works in the same coworking space as we do.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $9,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in May 2017 and it’s ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The results so far have been good. They produce high-quality work and have done a number of really beautiful websites. They take a lot of time on the detail: I think that’s what makes them the company that they are.
They provide strong customer service and communicate well with clients. It’s been an effective partnership since we lack their expertise. As long as our clients are satisfied with the results, the timing, and the attention, we’re satisfied.
How did Wegacha perform from a project management standpoint?
We usually meet in person. The informal agreements that we set up for each project have been effective. Wegacha takes care of everything directly with our customer. I just ask the customer for feedback, which has been positive about the attention they receive and the quality of the work.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The quality of their work. We’ve tried to outsource to several other companies and freelancers in the past. The main difference with Wegacha is that they deliver good quality. The measure of quality or results is customer satisfaction. All of our customers have given positive feedback about Wegacha. They could possibly increase their speed but they deliver in a reasonable amount of time for the quality that they provide. I’ve tried other companies and freelancers that they deliver faster but the quality is much lower. Even if Wegacha is delayed by a couple of days, clients are satisfied because the websites look good, the navigation works, and the images are well done.
Are there any areas they could improve?
At times, I’ve asked for more resources to respond to client requests and they’ve been really busy. I would maybe recommend that they develop a growth plan to expand their capacity.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I would suggest having face-to-face meetings, which guarantee results.

Consulting & Advertising for Digital Art Company
"They listen and provide the best service based on our needs and not what they’ve pre-defined."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the Office Manager for BettiBDesign. We’re a small, home accessories company that, right now, sells placemats and coasters. We sell to everyone but we specifically target the Latin American and Hispanic communities.
What challenge were you trying to address with Wegacha?
We’re mainly selling online – and we do have a few physical stores that sell our products – but we’re trying to grow that channel and initiate other sales channels as well.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Wegacha mainly provides strategic planning, advertising, and references to other vendors that can help us. They offer recommendations of what we should be doing in terms of products, targeting, and sales channels. They also prepare online advertising pieces for us and recommend multiple paths to move forward on.
What is the team composition?
We work with the CEO.
How did you come to work with Wegacha?
Wegacha was recommended to us by a couple of people. We contacted several firms, but many of them were too expensive for us. Wegacha understood our size and gave us a plan in terms of our current situation. They understood what our needs were and wanted to provide solutions based who we were then – not who might be someday.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working with them since March 2018.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Since this is a long process, it’s too early to say if it was a success in terms of sales and growth, but they’ve helped us get on the right path. We’ve gotten direct recommendations of what to do and how to set our priorities, where before we were all over the place. They’ve guided us better than anyone else so far.
How did Wegacha perform from a project management standpoint?
There’s a never a delay when we need them, and they always understand what we need. They’re available by phone or online and they don’t limit themselves to yes or no answers – they always give you an explanation of why you should do this or you shouldn’t do that. They give a lot of advice so they’re a great partner to rely on if you’re struggling in the initial phase. They’re very easy to talk to and are formal and reachable at the same time.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We saw that they have the expertise, the knowledge, and the tools to support us right from the very beginning. They listen and provide the best service based on our needs and not what they’ve pre-defined. They understand what type of organization we are.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There’s nothing in particular. It’s on us to grow more so we can use more of their services. There’s nothing bad that I can say about them.
Any advice for potential customers?
The better they explain their situation and share their challenges openly during the initial conversations, the better for them. You shouldn’t waste time trying to project or present a company that you don’t have. If you’re starting out – as we are – be open, fair, and sincere and you’re going to get the best out of them.

Web Design & Social Media for Product Dev Studio
"It is hard to find an agency that is willing to turn around a project that quickly with good quality at an affordable cost."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the co-founder of a product development studio that designs, develops, and sells clothing products.
What challenge were you trying to address with Wegacha?
We needed help with website design and development, and creating and managing a few Facebook Ad campaigns for a very specific product we were promoting.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We gave Wegacha a very detailed brief that included brand guidelines and what we wanted to convey about the product. They then built us a website highlighting the specific product in an extremely short turn around. They also proposed a few Facebook Ads that they eventually launched, and managed a few Instagram promotions as well. They also briefly helped us manage our Amazon sales.
What is the team composition?
Our marketing manager and I worked directly with their CEO during the entirety of the project.
How did you come to work with Wegacha?
The CEO’s brother is a friend of mine and referred them to me. After we spoke and saw their portfolio, we decided they were a good fit that could do a quality job in a tight timeframe.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $3,000, but we had a somewhat complicated contract that included sales based commission not reflected in that figure.
What is the status of this engagement?
This project lasted from May–October 2017. We are also looking at hiring them for another specific project in the near future.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The largest impact they made for our company was their ability to turn around a really important project for us extremely quickly. We had a very specific need as we were trying to reposition a product, and Wegacha was able to launch a high-quality webpage and one-off campaign in the timeframe we needed.
How did Wegacha perform from a project management standpoint?
Their responsiveness was excellent. We would send them an email and they would respond within an hour. That constant availability and responsiveness were very impressive.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They were great at hearing our feedback and returning elements to us that totally incorporated what we told them. Additionally, their value for this project was outstanding. It is hard to find an agency that is willing to turn around a project that quickly and of that high of quality at a good cost, but Wegacha pulled it off at a very reasonable price.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It would have been helpful for them to get a deeper understanding of the personality of the brand, but that is on us as much as them. For example, they delivered a few ads we asked them to take down because they didn’t fit our vision, but at the same time, we were not specific enough in our brief for them to have known we wouldn’t like them. Additionally, it is hard for a company to get to know a brand in just a few weeks, but due to our timeframe, that is what they had to do. In that sense, we should have offered more information about our brand to assist them in getting a better idea of who we are.
Any advice for potential customers?
It is crucial to be very specific about the scope of the project. If you already know exactly what you want, tell them rather than leaving it up to them to interpret an unclear brief. Conversely, if you do not know what you want, tell them that as well so they can assist you.

E-commerce Dev for Women's Clothing Retailer
“Learning from them and listening to their advice has really worked.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner of a clothing company called artTECA. We collaborate with different contemporary artists from all over the world to design prints for women’s clothing.
What challenge were you trying to address with Wegacha?
We were trying to develop a functional e-commerce platform to sell our clothing and accessories. We had tried to work with three different companies beforehand, but none of their products met our standards. There were several things we had to implement in terms of how the website would work and look, both on desktop and mobile devices, and we could never really reach what we wanted with those other companies.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The site was built in Shopify. Before working with Wegacha, we had tried WordPress and other platforms. Wegacha started by listing what was available and what would be appropriate, especially for a small company like ours, and they thought a Shopify site was our best option. We were a little hesitant at first, given that we had spent so much time on our WordPress site with previous developers, but they were absolutely right. They made the migration easy and fast.
They also guided us in terms of identifying what apps and features were appropriate for a clothing company to ensure a better shopping experience. They gave us a lot of suggestions and recommendations regarding design and look-and-feel, and how to integrate our branding ideas into that. Finally, they helped us understand and implement a marketing campaign with Google and social media ads.
What is the team composition?
I worked directly with their CEO/founder.
How did you come to work with Wegacha?
I was a bit desperate, given that our previous developers were not delivering what we wanted, and certainly not in a timely manner, so a friend told me about Wegacha. We met with other developers as well, and we contacted people in California, Texas, Ohio, and other places. After interviewing those groups, we decided that Wegacha was the best choice.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent under $10,000 so far. For the first year—when we were transitioning our platform—Wegacha gave us a good price point compared to other companies that were considered for the job.
We interviewed a lot of people who gave us prices outside the range we could afford, and outside of what we thought was appropriate for the job we wanted to do. Compared to my experience and that of people I know, Wegacha’s prices are very fair. They’re worth it, especially because of the job they do.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working with Wegacha since April 2016.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Since working with Wegacha, we’ve changed multiple elements of our website. They’ve suggested adopting new apps and features as they became available, and this has helped us improve our site. We’ve been able to keep up with the technology constantly coming out and make the shopping experience better.
How did Wegacha perform from a project management standpoint?
This is one of the reasons why we decided to have an ongoing relationship with them: Wegacha can deliver what they promise in a timely manner. The communication has generally been done by phone or email, but we also use messaging systems, especially when we’re working remotely on the website and they want me to understand what a part is doing, and how it looks.
While we were developing and setting everything up, we spoke practically every day, and we met in-person at least once a week. This was especially important because I wanted to understand the technical part of what he was doing and why he was doing it. They effectively communicated all their processes and helped me learn a few things that I could do myself. This was very important to me, even though—after setting up everything and developing the platform—I decided to keep working with them.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Based on my experience working with other developers, Wegacha was the first that had an understanding of e-commerce. The other companies I interacted with were website designers, but they lacked a good knowledge of e-commerce specifically. Anyone can use platforms like Shopify to put a shopping cart on a website, but having a real understanding of how things should work—what’s better for the client, and what the best shopping experience for the customers is—is something very valuable. This is what Wegacha gave us.
I was worried that moving from WordPress to Shopify would take a lot of time, since developing our WordPress website had been so difficult for us, but Wegacha was very fast at implementing, changing, and improving the work. One of the best things for me has been their communication. Learning from them and listening to their advice has really worked. Sometimes, what I thought was best for my website proved not to be so in reality.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There’s nothing I could complain about regarding Wegacha. My working relationship with them has been very good, and I’ve recommended them to many other people—friends and colleagues—who’ve had trouble with development companies they’d been working with. Those people started working with Wegacha they feel the same as I do. There’s nothing I don’t like or I’d change about Wegacha.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
Clients should listen to the suggestions Wegacha gives them. The team has knowledge about how things work, and they’re open to hearing the client’s side as well. In the end, they want to meet expectations and do what they feel is best for the client. I suggest that new clients trust Wegacha, and feel comfortable with what they’re suggesting and doing. They can really deliver.
